Getting a lot of "Oops we ran into a problem" when attempting to post, where I don't recall ever getting such messages before.

I've gotten this as well whenever I put in a lengthy post. Refreshing my browser always seems to clear it up, but I have learned to copy my text before I do.

This. I'm now learning to cut and paste my messages before hitting submit in case it times out.

Ever since the forum update I've been unable to connect to certain links. When the link is titled "View attachment 'xxxxxx" and I click on the link I'm directed to a Lit page with the message, "The requested page could not be found."

Do you know what's going on? Do I need to do something more that I'm not aware of?

Usually that means that the attachment has been deleted, I think

Just chiming in to report that, since my last login, my avatar issues haven't popped again and avatar display has been correct so far. I don't know if the VPN use had a big part on it or if there was backstage tweaking in the meantime, but on my end, everything seems to be looking all right.

I am currently not using the VPN and it is working properly.

I’m not even sure how to reply here anymore. Sometimes I get a message saying I don’t have the correct permissions to reply to a public thread. Also, when I try to start a new conversation, I’m told I have to wait about 150 seconds before I can. Is this a bug or a new “feature”?

From reading a few other posts, I believe the longer delay between messages is a new feature.

Speaking of new features / add-ons and for those with the IT know-how: Is there any add-on that could allow a topic / thread creator to block / ban specific users from posting in threads they create?

Now, if someone hits the "Like" button, it copies the entire post they've "liked," and puts it in the thread. That's not a big deal in most cases, I'm sure, but it really does interrupt things in roleplay...

At least, that's what appears has been happening...

That's not necessarily true. There is something wrong with the Attachment process that is stopping the system from seeing the URL where the Attachment lives. Which is here at lit. URLs in the BB code display fine. Also the URL as a link displays fine. Using the the Attach button seems to cause a problem.

If you want to change the look of the forum, there is a style chooser in the footer. The two available styles are Classic Literotica and Modern Literotica. The Modern Literotica style will eventually be getting a dark mode to go along with the full Literotica site dark mode that we've already been working on.

Subscribing is now called Watching. At the top of the thread, there should be a button on the top right to Watch it

as far as i'm aware, the insufficient privileges message (on this forum) applies to any threads begun by admin that are for information only, not discussion, or threads that have been otherwise closed–some having reached a 5,000 post limit or been closed to new replies due to some disruptive posting. Other places on the boards, i think in the role play sections(?), people can start threads that are only open to selected others.

No more polls? Just in general for threads. I wanted to post a fun thread with a poll option but couldn't find it.

Is that no longer an option or am I missing something?

Wish List so far:

• Address cropping of Avatars.
• Disable display of posted images.
• Adjust Sort Order to Newest First for those that want it.
• Display Profile Pictures from Story Side
• List/display previously uploaded Attachments for access, deletion and reuse. (See above for XF Mod link)
• There was a mention above about VBB having a paperclip icon that when clicked would display all images and attachments posted to a thread.
• There was also a way to see all the IDs of members who had posted to a given thread, the number opf their posts within that thread and to display only their posts within that thread. Useful when searching for a specific post that didn't come up in other searches.
• Enable Polls

You also automatically subscribe to a thread by posting on it, just like on the old system.

Add to the wishlist:

The ability to start more than one conversation every 3 minutes. Isn’t the idea here to communicate?

Add to this a way to sort searches by the last thread posted in. Sorting by date goes by when the thread was started. Not helpful.
