That's the crux of everything I've been trying to get to the bottom of: the damn "Oops" thing.

I truly do appreciate everybody who's tried to help, but so far, getting past an "Oops something went wrong" throws all the solutions out the window.

If you’ve copied it already, it should still be copied if you have to refresh, so you should be able to paste or re-paste it.

If you hadn’t copied it, you’d probably need to start at #1 again.

I don’t know how refreshing would affect using the Quote or Reply features.

I'm having trouble changing my avatar. I've uploaded the new one several times, hitting "save" each time, but it has not changed in the forum nor chat profile. Any advice? Is the other file too big or something? I haven't received any error messages but it's been about five days and the picture hasn't changed.

My current one took about a week to be approved, and I’m not sure how often the mods check in for av changes, give it a few more days

Just an FYI, the forum mods are not involved in anything to do with avatar approval. I’m not sure if there’s a person or people approving or a program, but it’s not us.

Bad feedback: Recently, I have noticed that loading Literotica is taking much longer than it used to. I don't know what has changed, but it is annoying to wait longer than I used to have to when I had to buffer a video on dial-up connections back in the '90s. I cleared the cache, logged off and on and even turned it off and on again. None of that improved the loading time. Any reason/suggestions?

Some people suggested to do what you already did: Clearing the Cache or using an incognito window. Didn't work for me either. I did, however, notice that those long loading-times seem to be concentrated on one-two hours each day. I also noticed that the forums, as well as the starting page, seem to be completely unaffected.

So, my personal suspicion is that they have some kind of Cronjob running once a day that somehow screws up the loading process for stories. Or it's the time new stories get posted. Or it's those people who recently started data-mining the site to collect more in-depth statistics on how their stories fared.

In regards to the orientation choices for members' profiles, is there any plan to include an 'autosexual' selection? The closest that I can get to my orientation among the current choices is 'asexual' and even that's pretty far off.

High volume will cause slow loading.

It does actually, the expand option is only invoked where the original image is buried in a quote. That means the image is a duplicate and it used to be really annoying to scroll through 10 copies of the original post just to make sure there was nothing in between. The expand option is a blessing and saves a lot of time . If you join a thread part way through, then you are indeed condemned to expanding until you catch up, then there is no further need.

I don't know about the old Design, but in the new Design, there's that bar to the right of every story. If you choose a theme there, it will be used for the entire site, not just the story pages.
