For SMN, I never really cared for the barely legal vibe, even in my early 20's I preferred the look out a slightly more mature specimen. For perspective, my baseline parameters for potential play partners would be age 30-55 (I'm 44). Not saying a hot 26 year old wouldn't turn me on, but there'd be. A squick factor.

As for comparing porn bodies to real life? Nah. Did I think 30 year old Jenna Jameson was one of the world's hottest women? Fuck.yes.

Did I watch her videos and suddenly think my wife was unattractive? No.

Sometimes I don't need to answer, because Blade answers for me. All that he said right up there. 100% agree. (Edit: Modified of courses to note the 20 year age difference between us.)

Gay porn, not interested. I get it, gay porn is to women just what lesbian porn is to men. Knock yourselves out, girls, but it doesn't work for me on any level. I'm not offended by it, it just doesn't tun me on. Aaaand, don't try to trick me by sneaking a token chick in there either. I still can identify that it's gay porn. Duh!

I can’t think of anything worse than sleeping with someone who has no idea what they’re doing. The more experienced and confident the better as far as I’m concerned.

I couldn’t agree more!!

....
I don't have any issue with my partner enjoying porn with or without me. I know many women worry that they are being compared the entertainers or that their partner is choosing porn over them. I don't think that's porn's fault - but rather says a lot about the relationship. If your partner is neglecting you for porn or making you feel like less than because of it, ditch the partner - not the porn :)

I agree on the watching porn, it’s a hot foreplay spice for sure.
But porn addiction is a real behaviorally addicting problem. I’m sure it varies to all different types and degrees. I’m not an expert in the field, but I’ve been around it to witness its destructive nature’s.
It’s not about the porn, or the relationship, it’s about the person watching the porn. There’s no pointing a finger at someone else to blame for ones action and choices. The addiction is a disease and the first step is taking the responsibility. That goes with any sort of addiction.
Not sure it’s an easy black and white answer fix by ditching the partner. But it could be depending on ones situation.

* and Trekka said some good stuff too*

I like sounds. So it has to feel real. No fake shit.

Ummmm yes!

I agree completely if you are coming at it from a worst case scenario point of view - but I suppose I don't consider choosing porn over sex or making your partner feel less than as necessarily an addiction. Those traits can certainly be part of a porn addiction that would likely show itself in other ways as well (time spent, risky behavior, progression of subject matter intensity, etc.).

My superficial example was more about not blaming porn for your man being a douche. If he hasn't given you a reason to mistrust his use of porn, you shouldn't worry and if you do worry that could mean you have bigger concerns than just porn. But I agree that any negative action associated with the act of viewing porn could be a sign of an addiction and should be taken seriously.

I agree with all this. 💜
Addictions and douche bags are like cereal- they come in all different flavors and sizes.

. . . Especially when I look at the guys with chiseled chests, six pack abs, and a protruding 'V'.

Maybe you’re just looking at the wrong thing? In most porn, the guys have a protruding ‘D’

To answer HotWords questions; porn stars (most, not all) don't enjoy kissing while on film. That's considered a pretty intimate act in their view and usually reserved for relationships beyond the cameras. The random tongue flick provides a visual for the audience and has nothing to do with intimacy.

I’ve heard that they think kissing is too intimate, but seriously, isn’t sticking your tongue in someone’s cornshoot about as personal as it gets? Hollywood actors make out with other people all the time and then go back to their husbands and wives. I’ve never understood that. “Okay, you can sit on my face, but don’t kiss me” <— that seems very strange to me.

The tongue flick does nothing for me. I want to see passion.

Also, I agree with Trekka. I want to see ‘fantasy me’ in porn not Ron Jeremy. I’ve clicked out of porn where the dude was too gross to represent me. At least, my fantasy version of me.

I heard once that some people watch porn to watch and others fantasize themselves being in it. So who is a voyeur of porn and who imagines themselves as a participant?

The biggest issue with finding someone who looks like me in porn is I have to find something with a horse and that’s just not my thing.

You know. Because my dick is like a horse.

*hi five*

That was weak. You can do better. Do not disappoint me.

She had a very rough childhood. I remember watching her mom snort a line of blow off her dad's dick in the living room when I was 15. Her parents were fucking horrible and that's why she always came to my house. She started in the industry as a way out of the life at home. She had some major plastic work and her outlandish ways catapulted her way to the top. She's very impulsive and she has said more than once you have to constantly reinvent yourself to stay in the videos. Unfortunately, that means doing a 100-man gangbang in the ass, or being used as a urinal. She's far from fucking okay.

Wow. That’s really sad. The porn and drug industry is sadly linked, it’s miserable. I realize she made her own choices, but I suspect the desire to get away from that home was pretty necessary. I do just hate to see that someone like that feels their only choice is porn.

And that’s the constant story... once they aren’t “new”, they have to continue pushing further and further, doing things they would never do initially. How awful. It’s quite the opposite of a normal career. Your options get limited as you get more experience.

Gay porn also has hairier dudes! Men that look like actual men!

Only prob is that I can't exactly send those clips to RL hetero men.

I need to photoshop myself into a gay porn clip. That would be ideal. I'd totally watch and disseminate that shit :)

So, you want a hairy dude to destroy your pooper, pull out for the cumshot, and then push it back in?

Never understood that. Just bust it inside, dude. So much hotter.

My point earlier is good looking people are good looking.

I can admit admiring the work and dedication attractive fit women *and* men put in to looking the way they do.
(If y'all cannot, then grow up)
That is part of the fantasy aspect of porn.

Nobody tells me to grow up. Not my wife. Not my mom. And certainly not that fucking judge.

I just don’t like seeing those hairless, super fit dudes in porn. It looks like all they do is take steroids and hang weights from their dicks (doesn’t work, by the way).

For fantasy, it would make more sense if that hot girl was fucking some regular schmo and loving it.

Very interesting discussion yesterday. Thanks for all the participation and being free about your filthy little habits.

With something as powerful as porn or the feeling of an orgasm, it can become extremely addictive. There’s a lot more going on here than the need to cum. It can become a compulsion and it can take over. We spoke a few weeks ago on various addictions. This question might be a little similar and, maybe, a bit personal. However, a lot of people here have shared some personal things and there has been no judgment or anything. This thread has been so interesting, for that reason.

My question is... whether it’s porn, sex, drugs, alcohol, Lucky Charms, etc... how do you know when you’re out of control? How do you know when it has become a “problem”? Are there things you once “had a problem with” that you can now partake in healthy doses? Or do you have to maintain distance from that and never partake?

So, totally random fact... one of my best childhood friends is a very popular porn star. She won a few AVN's about 5-7 years ago. We've discussed lots of shit over the years and most are pretty funny.

Wait a sec! You're saying that porn people get awards for doing porn? What for? Please don't say for their acting talent.:D

Porn in small doses is okay. But if it starts replacing me and/or I’m being compared to this perfect sex goddess, we’re gonna have a problem Houston.

I have a question for the men:

At what age do you get tired or it feels kinda creepy lusting over that school girl barely legal “virgin” look?
And one more.
Do you compare RL women to porn or tumblr models? Have they set the bar to what an attractive beautiful women needs to looks like?

I’ll stop there with my questions. But to pick the minds of men on all this, to see how ya’ll tick - hello Q&A with Dr. Naughty.

*Sits in my pencil skirt, heels and pencil with a wicked smile.*

Q#1 As I get older I appreciate older women much more.

Q#2 Beauty is skin deep - I want a lady with a high sex drive, beauty is secondary.

I tend to refer to The Doctor's Opinion.

It's not for everyone, but it works for me.

I don't think I've ever been 'out of control' with anything. Which means either (a) I'm very boringly in control, or (b) I'm not prepared to admit to myself that I'm out of control.:)

It's (a), of course it is, but it did get me thinking about the whole 'addictive personality' thing. There must be a gene for this, right? Have there been any studies, anything identified?

There actually have been studies done on addictive personality disorders. As have there been studies done on how addictive pornography can become.

I've not had any issues with alcohol or prescribed/non-prescribed medications. But I did notice that I'd become overly involved with time spent searching for good pornography. After a while, it became boring and my curiosity was satisfied so what little I encounter is either here on Lit or on Tumblr.
