“Manny—the others are going out to some clubs. I knew it! I just knew it! Just when something started to go my way something would ruin it. Cassie left me to go check on the commotion in the other room.

It was Cassie who came into the bathroom. "Is everything alright?" she called out. It took me a minute or two before I totally regained my senses enough to tell her that it was me, and ask her if she and Manny would like to join us for a night out on the town. She said that she would love to go, and that she would go ask Manny if he wanted to go, then she left the bathroom.

I stood there drying myself off with the towel Cassie had just handed me, and suddenly I realized that during all of the excitement of moving into the house, I had left my makeup bag out in the livingroom.

I didn't hear anyone moving around in the house, so I figured that everyone was still out by the pool and Manny and Cassie were in their room, so I just wrapped the towel around my body and ran out to livingroom to get my bag and that is where I ran into Steve who was sitting on the couch waiting for everyone.

I nearly dropped my towel out of surprise, when I saw him sitting there. "Oh, I didn't think anyone was in here." I said to him. I wasn't in the mood to be embarrassed though, so instead of grabbing my makeup bag and bolting from the room, I sat down next to him.

As we got to the base of the stairs, I saw Steve sitting on the couch as he mumbled about I don’t know what. I had to let him know that I was the one that had missed the glass that he stepped on. I let go of Manny’s hand for a moment and heard a sound of protest escape his throat. “I will be back Manny. Trust me.” I said as I slowly walked over to Steve. I took a seat next to him and he smelled SO good! I couldn’t believe how good he smelled. As I sat there, I could see Manny out of the corner of my eye getting anxious. He was going to run. I had to get him over next to me so he wouldn’t feel I had left him. I waved him over and took his hand in mine again as I still sat with Steve.
