Logging in spoils the veiw

Hi,
I'm sort of new to Literotica and very new to world of forums. I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to in any of the FAQ's. Why is it that when I'm not logged in I can see everyone's avatars, sigs, links, and any pics they've put in their post, but when I log in it all disappears?
Since I've registered I've mostly looked at the forums without logging in so I can see everything. It's rather frustrating to see someone I want to know more about or a link I want to click, then have to log in so I can access it, then log back out so I can continue reading the thread I was on. Sometimes the pictures in the posts will appear as a link instead, but sometimes they disappear completely. When I'm not logged in most pics appear as a whole picture within the post, no clicking on a link or opening in a seperate window needed.
Am I doing something wrong or is it supposed to work this way? If so, it's a bit inconvenient, but it won't stop me lurking about. ^_^

It only works that way if you don't have the boxes in your User CP Options to show avatars, sigs and links checked. So, click on User CP (usually near the top of each page), then edit options on the menu on the left, scroll down the page until you find the Visible Post Elements and make sure the boxes are checked.

You may need to log out, clear your cookies, close your browser and log back in and refresh your browser for it to appear. If it doesn't, go back and make sure your boxes are checked.

Report back if you still have problems.

Go here: http://forum.literotica.com********.php?do=editoptions 9he eit Options link in quicklinks or on your UserCP pages) and hit PageDN or the space bar Twice (maybe three times depending on your browser) until you see this section:

Visible Post Elements
You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts. ...

Check the appropriate boxes for the post elements you want to see.

If you have anyone on your ignore list -- or the admins have someone "everyone ignore" list -- you'll also notice threads by those users disappearing when you log in.

You can also select different skins on your edit options page -- or at the bottom of every forum page to change the colors and locations avatars; which will only take effect/be available once you log in.

When did you register your account? I could be wrong, but I think there was a software upgrade not long ago that changed the look of -everything-. At least, for me. Nothing moved, or went away, but everything just looks different somehow. So you could be seeing that as well. But check your settings like mentioned before.
