I know ya'll haven't heard form me for a while and there was a very good reason for that but I hope that's the last sad post I ever have to make... (crossing her fingers)

Allan finally got ahold of me... He's in Thailand now... On his last assignment for the company he works for... He tendered his resignation because they are trying to keep us apart. They heard that he was going to return from his vacation a married man and they kept him so busy (hoping that we would break up) that he wasn't able to go on his holiday to come see me and/or get married. It seems they don't want him to enter that union with me. So he's quitting. There is another office of the same company in the states that he's in negotiations with to go to work for them so he won't be out of work at all! Anywho, his last day is the tenth of this month and he's supposed to be here shortly after that! So, if everyone could keep their fingers crossed for me, I'd really appreciate it...

Thanks hon! Because as long as he stays unattached they can fly him all over the globe working and he wouldn't say anything about it, if he had a wife, he would want (naturally) to be with her at least some of the time... What they didn't know was that he would have kept globe trotting, but with me in tow!

Yes, October!! No specific "date", but I will be finished with all my "loose ends" here and be ready to start my "new" life in the midWest with Oman! We met in the "hot tub" last October, so the timing seems very appropriate too!

Nothing should be taken for granted, but it's always wonderful to hear that LDRs can really have their dreams come true!

Yep I'll be kicking the ld off of mine too in about two weeks or less! He'll be here for good then! Yay!!!

You I am in utter shock. Truly thrilled for all of you but still in shock. Spent the weekend with a gf from the tub, her kids and my mom in a motorhome at the beach, Ft. DeSoto.

The only thing was I missed my honey. Being the sweety that he is he called and left a message for me on my machine for when I got home. *big sigh* There are some men you just have to love.

Lady_Sam you hang in there honey. It will happen and I will be here for you till it does.

anyone got any great advice on flying? i am flying alone. have an hour layover to and from omaha....am scared to death to fly...am scared i will screw up something LOL....oh and the size of carryons?? will a backpack be ok....??

I know how you feel about flying, I've never done it before alone but I will be later on this year and I've had the exact same fears you have. As for carry on luggage a backpack should be just fine (I have a friend who used to work for an airline who I checked with)

thanks hon! and as if i wasnt scared enough...the news just came on and there was a shooting at LAX...the airport is being evacuated now. UGGHHH!! I think stress is gonna kill me over! LOL
