My wife recently expressed the desire to have me use a dildo / vibrator on her. To date she's not used one but she tells me it's been a fantasy. To be honest I never really thought of doing it either. But, since she brought it up, I've been exceptionally aroused. In other words, I'm really looking forward to it.

Can any women out there give me some pointers on what to get and from where? Also, any guides or reference for techniques / how to? Heck, any women in MN willing to teach me?

Thanks.

BTW, I don't know a thing about these.

Are the battery operated options too weak?

Should it have the little arm that works the clit while penetrating her?

Should it have adjustable speed?

Does the exterior material make a difference?

Should I get lubricant?

If so, can unscented lube be obtained (she has delicate skin and allergies to perfumes and some dyes)?

Are certain brands better than others?

As you can see, I'm lost.

Hey, no worries. Those sort of things can be confusing! So, to answer your questions, (from one girl's point of view at least)

1. Are the battery operated options too weak?
Well, that depends. Is she very sensitive? If not, probably so. There are some battery operated ones out there that really pack a punch, I recommend checking out a website like Clitical.com to look that up. They have female reviewers who have tested a lot of vibrators.

2. Again, it depends. Can she get off easily without stimulation to her clit? Would you prefer to use your fingers/tongue? I personally love the ones with that little arm but it's a personal preference.

3. Hm..I would say so, simply because no one wants to be jolted when they're not turned on enough. Starting out softly is so much better.

4. Again, personal preference on the material. I love the realistic/semi-realistic ones simply because the thought of a candy-shaped plastic thing makes me giggle, but she may not care.

5. I would grab some lube, just in case. She might be really turned on, but the whole new invasion might make her a bit nervous and lube might help. At least, it won't hurt.

6. Unscented lube can definetely be obtained! Do you know specifically what she is allergic to? I would think a safe bet would be something like KY...it's not too greasy and you can get a tiny bottle instead of a huge one for experimenting.

7. The only thing I have to say here is research, research, research. Talk to her and ask her the specifics of what she wants, (or if you're trying to keep it a surprise, the awkward random questions might work.) There are zillions of female oriented sites out there that will be able to help you, and a lot of them have "how to" like simplicity for the guys.

I hope this helps, and good luck!

Yes, it helps very much. Thank you.

If anyone else wants to chime in I'm all ears. Will take input from anyone but am particularly interested in what women can tell / teach me about the subject.
