One thing this really drives home for me is just how much the site has protected our work over the past decade without writers even being aware of it. Sobering to see what happened when that protection was removed even for a few days.

Agreed. And a story I submitted that got published on the 31st seems to being getting votes and views much more in-line with what I expected to see before this situation arose. My confidence is restored, for now.

Hopefully the lost views when the new format went live can be resurrected as well. I'm crawling towards a million views and could do with them being added back in!

Just wondering if the ratings are still being worked on. At least eighty of my 135 stories had their ratings dropped, some pretty substantially. So I'm still hoping it'll be corrected.

There is still something happening with votes

Hi,

my newest story "Das große Spiel" https://www.literotica.com/s/das-grobe-spiel crossed the 100-votes mark with an average rating of 4.71.

Since then it's constantly deteriorating and has now reached 4.47 and is one of the worst rated stories of mine. In the same time I acquired around ten new followers, that's more than I got in the whole of last year.

I have no idea if the two events are in any way connected, but it might be useful to investigate if our Daily Downvoter has found a new method of interfering.

This doesn't seem to be over. Today three votes were lost on one of my stories, and two on another. All of the lost votes are 5*s. There had been no activity on either story for more than a month.

I noticed today that a lot of my scores have dropped. I was hoping things were going to turn around soon, and our scores would be restored to what they were before the problems in the last week of March. But it sure doesn't look like it now. I just hope we can find out when things will go back to where they were.

My older stories, under another Lit name, don't appear to have been affected, THANKFULLY!

However, the newest and only story I've posted, since all of these system and scoring "bugs" have been identified has been greatly affected. This story has 66 favorites and I've received more messages about 5star votes, etc from readers. The score has changed from 4.36 to 4.37 in the entire time its been posted. I can't believe this score is accurate. Also, the number of views has fallen by about 5000 since I last looked.

Has anyone received feedback on what is being done? Will there be any correction to or review of scores and other data received on the stories posted since the system change? Any information would be appreciated.

Also, I keep receiving a Sorry, this message can't be sent... notification when I try to send messaged from my story feedback page. Does anyone know why? or how I can have it corrected?

It's a minor relief to find this thread. I haven't posted any stories for a few years, but for several years most have been fairly steadily ranked between 4.6 and 4.8, making up a lot of the top all time stories in their section. Recently I noticed quite a significant drop in score (and concomitant disappearance/drop down the all time list).

My assumption was that there was some kind of forced score reduction to make way for new contributors, because I'm probably not classified as an active contributor anymore. However I've since discovered it seems to be due to errors with the site upgrade.

While I won't be losing any sleep over it, it is definitely a tad frustrating to discover that the changes are not down to a sudden decrease in popularity in my stuff, but rather an error. Has there been any confirmation yet on whether it will be fixed, or do we just need to accept the new rankings as they are? Thanks!

Incidentally, I also noticed that I got an alert about a new feedback entry for one of my stories recently, and when I clicked to read it, there was nothing in the thread. I've since checked a couple more times, and it's never appeared. Perhaps another gremlin in the system?

Problems are still happening. There was a message on here in early April saying it was being worked on, but scores are still off and comments and favorites are still disappearing, so I don't think anyone knows when it will be fixed. Twice, just in the last day two readers favorited my stories, and neither didn't show up. I commented on a art submission, and again it didn't show up. Over three quarters of my submissions have had their scores lowered, some by a lot. So I would love to know when everything is going to be working right again, so we get our scores restored.
