Lost at Sea

Finding a large leaf that would serve as a plate, I banked my fire, took the skewer from its place, and slid the fish off of the skewer and onto the leaf. There was nothing to drink, since I was saving the one bottle of water that I had, let alone lemon or garlic or salt and pepper, but I was pretty hungry and this was going to taste fine.

So I carried the fish, on the leaf, over to where my seal friend lay. It had, for some reason, covered its face with its flippers. "Does the smoke get in your eyes, my friend?" I asked, kneeling down next to it. I picked the first morsel out with my fingers, and set it on my palm, to offer the food to it. After all, I had been the cook, but the seal had been the fisherman. Or, rather, the fisherseal.

I could hear him move around. There were a few noises that I had a hard time picturing but I injected my own imagination when I struggled to guess at what the sound could mean. I knew when he was at my side not only because I had heard him move towards me but because it spoke.

Peeking from under my flippers I looked at the human. I didn't know what it wanted but figured that eating wasn't as intimate as I had first thought. There were a lot of things that I was just guessing at about this human and it frustrated me in a challenging way. I sat up then and watched as he pulled at the fish tearing at the flesh and offered a piece to me. Or at least that's what it looked like to me.

I wasn't sure of anything about the human anymore as everything that I thought turned out to be wrong. Still the fish smelled good and I had just been thinking earlier how I could get some for myself. So keeping eye contact with the human I leaned my neck out towards his hand. When the hand didn't moved I quickly snatched the scrap of fish and swallowed it. It felt warm going down but it didn't burn. The flesh of it also tasted strangely different and if I would have chewed it maybe even a bit more chewy in texture. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not so I opened my mouth and leaned over for another piece.

"Ah, you like that, do you, kiddo?" I laughed, and promptly tore off another, larger bit of the fish and fed it to my pal. My smile was huge. It looked so cute, peeking out at me that way. I was certain that I wasn't just anthropomorphizing, either; there was no doubt in my mind that this critter was capable of complex emotions, and, that despite the considerable differences in body type, many of the ways that a human might react meant much the same thing with this seal.

I was going to have to make sure that the seal didn't eat all of the fish it had so kindly delivered to me, though. It could obtain more with ease, but I was dependent upon it. So after this second bite of the cooked fish, I meant to eat some of it myself. At the same time, though, it was very nice to feed the seal, to feel like I was doing something for it. I wanted to repay at least a little of its kindness to me.

The second bite helped me decide that while the fire burned fish was good I like my raw and fresh from the sea.

Leaving the human to eat I wormed back to the water's edge and with a bark to let him know that I was leaving but coming back I dove into the water's surface. I liked spending time on land but in my seal form it started to get uncomfortable. Most of the time I would walk on two legs as a human but I didn't want him to know what I was yet.

For a few minutes I chased after fish with no particular want to eat as a plan started to form in my mind. What if I didn't show him what I was but he just thought I was a normal human. Not a selkie. I rolled the idea in my head over and over thinking over the worst outcomes and how I would be able to get out of them if it happened. Being always the one with a bright outlook on life I didn't see many flaws with my plan. In fact the more I thought about it the better it sounded.

I broke the surface of the water with a nod of my head. I was going to do it. further up the beach was my cave. I would go there and shed my skin and hide it in the nook that you have to climb to get to and couldn't see form the ground no matter what angle you looked up at it from. It was where I always hid my skin and I felt safe leaving it there. Next I would sneak over to the human's beach and watch him. Maybe in my maiden form he would want to play with me more. I called happily at my plan. It was sound proof and if something was to go wrong I could just run away, slide back into my skin and take refuge in the waters.

It was high tide when I got out of the water. Even with the raised sea the ocean didn't touch the mouth of my cave and I quickly seal ran into it's protection as I changed. When I stepped out I did it on leg instead of flippers. I was much smaller in my maiden form which suited me just fine because the nights that my human skin would chill I could easily cuddle under my skin and be warm. I laughed and the sound came out sounding very human. I couldn't wait to surprise my human and I took off down the beach. All fatigue and sores gone from my body.

There was a slight hill that separated my bay from the human's beach. On my belly in the sand I watched what he was doing. Humans sure took a while to eat as it looked like he hand't moved in the handful of minutes I had left. From this angle I could see him picking at his fish which was nearly gone and I wondered if the fire fish would taste different with my maiden mouth.

Fearing nothing in my excitement I stood up and skipped towards the human humming noises like I heard him do in my seal form. The sand as I skipped sprinkle off my bare skin but left enough to lighten the front of my with sparkling white sand. When I was the mirrored distance of him and the fire to me and the fire I stopped and smiled waiting to see how he would react to see another human.

I watched my new friend disappear back into the water. It barked back at me as it departed, and I fancied that it meant to tell me that it would be back; I had whetted its appetite, and it probably wanted something more substantial. Or maybe it just wanted to get more fish to be cooked. I really couldn't tell.

I sat there, taking my time. I had lots of tme. I ate most of the fish, being careful of bones. Once I was done, it was time that I explored the island. I might be trapped here for the rest of my life; it was well off the sea lanes.

Something caught my attention in my peripheral vision -- movement. Instantly, I sprang up, still a little jarred by my experience, and I noticed that my body didn't protest too much. I was starting to recover from the trauma.

My jaw dropped. Skipping -- literally skipping -- toward me was just about the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen in my life, naked and with no tan lines, long light brown hair streaming out behind her. Maybe there was a settlement on this island? My heart skipped two or three beats, on several different levels.

A few yards away from me, she stopped. Her coloring was Caucasian, her features European. This notwithstanding, I had no idea what language she had been humming in as she approached, but she was unmistakably friendly.

"Hello," I called, waving to her. "I've been shipwrecked." I strode over to her, but not too fast nor coming too close -- she may not be modest, but I could still scare her away. "Is there a radio or a phone someplace near here?"

I was glad to have finally surprised my human friend and I giggled with amusement when I saw his face.

He made noise again and I was able to better understand and hear then sounds in this form. It didn't mean I understood him but I could hear every note differently. He also jerked his arm above his head and I mirrored him lifting my hand in the arm and waved it about.

"Ha-ll-o! I-he-v bo-en sh-i-up-wa-e-k-ed!" My mouth fumbled to form the sounds like he had but when I finished it had sounded nothing like the beautiful sounds that he spoke with. "Ra-di-oo." I tried hard to shape my lips like he did happy when that sound had more resemblance to his tone. I tried it again know that I could get the sound just right. "Ray-di-o, raydio. Raydio!" I chimed with a large smile on my face. There that was it. The human had make other noises but the sounded harder and I was happy to just have one sound the same as his.

I moved towards the human but away from the fire like I had done as a seal and walked up to him. When I was less then a foot away from him I stopped and reached out to trace the differences in his face that I had saw earlier. A finger trailed his jaw bone and my other hand did the same to my face feeling how it differed. "Raydio." I repeated for him and my finger moved to draw a line down the center of his face and the curve of his nose. Again my hand did the same on mine. Everything so far on his face was bigger, wider and harder. There was also a roughness to the bottom of his face that my hand was attracted to. My other hand moved from my face and joined the other one on the humans' face.

Both hands now stroked the human's cheeks and jaw fascinated by what almost felt like baby ungrown whiskers. Shaking my head I left my hands drop. No wonder the human had ran into me in the water. With whiskers as short as that how could he feel anything.

"Raydio." I said again not knowing the meaning but happy with the complicated way it sounded. "Gah!" I clapped my hands and forgot the human and ran to the fish. I was eager to try it with this new mouth of mine that could make sounds like his. I jumped and crossed my legs and my body fell to the sand and I picked up the fish snatching a piece of flesh to shove in my mouth with the use of my fingers.

"Ummm." I closed my eyes and savored the fish. Burned by the fire as a seal hadn't liked it as much but with this mouth the fish had fatty juices and flavors that it didn't have when I tried my first two bites as a seal. "Ha-low, halow."I nodded thinking that it sounded right. "Halow." I pointed to the fish with a smile and ate another piece.

The way she giggled was like tiny bells. The sound was the perfect partner to the expression on her beautiful face. And it was a good thing that her face was so beautiful, too, or I would have churlishly spent all my time staring at her naked body. I must have been hard in ten seconds flat. Zero to sixty in the blink of an eye, the sound of a single laugh.

She mimicked my motions as well as my words, but I realized quickly that she didn't understand a single word I was saying. Well, if she was clever enough to be able to repeat words in a totally foreign language having heard them just the once, we would learn to understand one another fast enough. I couldn't fathom what might keep me from wanting to spend all my time with this girl. And with the seal, whom I hoped came back very soon; I wanted it to meet her, and vice versa. Each in their own way, they were both amazing and wonderful.

Like the seal, she gave a wide berth to the fire. I hadn't built it with a lot of safety in mind, except for trying to build it so that the seal could be somewhat near it without being in any danger. Most likely she knew more about setting a fire under these conditions than I did, and she wanted to avoid my unsafe one.

The way that she flopped down and began eating, with no by-your-leave expressions or gestures at all made me wonder if she came from a culture of plenty, where food was abundant and there was never any need to withhold it from anyone. If so, my prospects here were much improved.

So I lowered myself onto the sand beside her. If I wanted to get to know the seal better, I certainly wanted to get to know this girl better. I sure liked her fashion sense.

I watched my human take a seat next to me and I smiled. Scooting closer I put my hand on his face again and mushed his mouth together as I made noises with my movements. "Jeg oensker dere aa lage lyder med munnen din." I didn't expect the human to understand my want but it was fun to touch a face so different from my own. Still curious with the human creature I removed my hands and replaced it with the tips of my fingers. With care I took a hold of his lips and mushed them together repeating my want for him. "Jeg oensker dere aa lage lyder med munnen din." Coping his sounds were fun and I wanted my sounds to be heard like his pretty one.

A long, long time ago when Vessa and I had first become friends we had made noises to speak with each other since the way we spoke as seals couldn't be spoken in our maiden bodies. It was the same sounds that I repeated for the human. This I knew, it made sounds and had expected me to understand it so I did the same and made the sounds I was comfortable with and hoped that he understood me.

When it seemed that he was as helpless as I was I released his lips and smiled my eyes somewhat sad that he didn't understand. Still I was happy that he didn't want to harm me and was still my friend and the sorrow didn't linger any longer then a few seconds. Turning back to the fish I tore a piece off and held it in my palm in an offering like he had offered to me as a seal. The fish was good but I had caught it for him and I had made that last bite of mine to be the last even though there was still much left to it.

Vaguely Germanic, possibly a Scandinavian language; but it didn't really sound like that. It was just closer to that than any other languages I knew.

My mind turned that sort of thing over inside of itself whilst the rest of me reacted in a very different way. She was so close, so friendly, so touchable, so naked..! It was hard to think. When she played with my lips, I wanted to kiss her.

When she offered me food, I leaned forward, much as the seal had, and plucked the morsel off of her palm with my mouth, pulling it in handlessly and looking back up at her as I chewed.

Once I had swallowed, I spoke to her again. If we kept at this long enough we would start to understand one another.

"Among my people, when a man is approached by a pretty naked girl, it is considered rude to keep your own clothes on." I said, bending the truth of it only slightly. I pulled my shirt off over my head, not bothering to unbutton it again, and then I started to undo the top of my trousers.

I was fairly sure that she would understand what I was doing, and, that if she didn't want this, that she would let me know. For my part, I had concluded that I had drowned in the storm and gone to heaven.

I clapped and laughed when he took the piece of fish from me just as I had a while ago. I wanted to feed him again but he started speaking and I was eager to copy his sounds. My forehead wrinkled as I tried to catch every sound. There were a lot and I wanted to keep the two sounds that I already knew true. Still I was determined to try. I pushed the fish away bored with the idea of feeding him even if I had just started.

When the human moved to take off his skin again my head tilted to the side. I already knew that the human didn't change when he removed his skin but I couldn't help think that he was like a snake with the way he shed. When he discarded his top skin I reached over and picked it up. If I burned it would he be bound to me? Would he turn into a seal. His human body was much larger then mine and while I had never seen a male of my kind in human form I gathered that if he turned seal he would be large and powerful and have a healthy harem of cows. It was strange but I felt a possessiveness over my human. If he were to turn seal and be bound to me I would be his lead cow, his only cow. I narrowed not enjoying the idea of having to share him. Not wanting to be clouded with ideas that made me angry I sniffed the skin and it was just like before and knowing the foul taste I let it fall from my hands.

The human seemed to also have a bottom skin and he moved to remove it. An idea came to mind then. If I wore his skin would I turn into him? I picked up the skin again and like he had done put it over my head. I fumbled and panicked when I got lost in the holes of the skin and I flailed my arms and fought until at last I won. The skin didn't seem to fit me like it did him. My head was in the largest hole and my arms were in the two holes to the side but I didn't feel any different. I looked at my hands, they seemed the same. I touched my face and it was as smooth and soft as before. Disgruntled that I was still the same I flicked at the sand but didn't take off the shirt thinking that maybe it just needed more time or his bottom skin. But he hadn't taken it off yet and I waited patiently for him to take it off so I can put them on.

Fine I would work on my sounds in the mean time because I found it to be a fun game between us. "Ah-mon-gu m-hi- m-hi-" Playing and thinking about everything else I had forgotten all the sounds he had made, how they sounded and what order they went in so I jumbled them up and hoped that it didn't ruin the game. Na-ha-ki-d gi-rr-ul m-ah-n ke-i-pa." I frowned. He had made more sounds then that but that was all I could remember. "Raydio. Halow. Ahmongu- Ahmongh." I nodded liking the way the second way sounded better. "Mhi. Nahikid. Girrul. Mahn. Keipa." I listed the sounds for him wondering if they had a meaning and what they were.

She was putting my shirt on? Now, that I hadn't expected. And I couldn't help laughing at the way she flailed around trying to make it fit on her, even though she largely succeeded. It was a little mean of me to laugh at her so, but she seemed to laugh a lot too, and I didn't mean it in a mean way, so I let that go.

By now I was more anxious than ever to get naked with her. I wasn't disposed to stop with just getting naked with her, either; I wanted to have sex with her. But even more, I just wanted to spend time with her and enjoy more of her antics. Not only was she the prettiest I had ever seen, she was also the most beguiling while being not at all guilesome.

I put the fanny pack to one side, on the far side of her; I didn't want her getting into it, and I had an inkling that she would be curious about it. I shucked off my trousers and underwear and set them on top of the fanny pack, and turned to face her, curious to see if she would react to my erect cock at all, and, if so, how.

She began trying to talk to me again, and it seemed to me that she was picking up a good deal from my speech, while I was just too dense to comprehend hers. "You, naked girl, that's right. Except that you're not naked any more, you're wearing my shirt." I reached out and touched the front of the shirt, not minding at all that there was a breast behind it now. "You're only naked when you're not wearing any clothes. LIke me, now."

The human took more off and he didn't seem to want me getting to it as he put it on the other side of his body away from me. I frown but couldn't blame him. I had my skin tucked in a nook in a cave that you had to brace and climb up the wall to reach. Still I wanted to see and I tried reached over his body to get the rest of his skins.

What put pause to my actions was what I saw between his legs. I was at last correct in something, the human was indeed a male. I stared at it for a long while. It was very different then what I've seen before. Being the daughter of Bohai males didn't dare approach the only child of their king but that didn't stop the male from displaying what they had in hopes that I would come to them. I never did, I wasn't interested and had better things to do then mate in the sand and grow pups.

There was also the fact that he had touched me. I scooted away from the touch. It was okay for me to touch him but it made me uneasy when he moved to touch me. When he had taken the fish that had been a touch of a different kind. I had offered the touch first. Now he just reached out and touched the borrowed skin on my body.

I looked up at the human's face and didn't even know his name. "Romy." I moved so I rest on knees and sat on my heels braced on the balls of my feet in front of him. "Romy." I put my hand to my chest and flashed on a memory of him doing this to me before. Why hadn't I caught it then? "Romy." I repeated for the last time. I closed my eyes and replayed the memory and the sound he had made. "M- Mah-ta?" I wasn't sure if it was the same sound because I had heard it thru my seal ears but I spoke it back to him. "Mahta." I touched his arm and smiled wait for him to respond with more sounds.

From the way that she scooted away, and the reaction on her face and in her body language as well, I could tell that I had misunderstood her wishes. That was all right, it was her body and I wasn't used to dealimg with a culture which didn't wear clothes. I felt more than a little bad for having distressed her, but at least I hadn't totally ruined things, she was still trying to interact with me. In fact, she was still willing to touch me, just in a different sort of way.

I smiled very broadly when I realized that she was trying to introduce herself to me. And that she had picked up my name as well, if I understood her right. "Romy," I said, clearly, "your name is Romy, and my name is Matt. Matthew Morton."

The way that I phrased that made me realize, with a gasp, that I hadn't told my name to the girl before.

I had told my name to the seal...!

I smiled, he understood and we now knew each other's name. "Matt." I repeated the name with more accuracy proud of myself that I had been able to communicate with the human.

I wanted to play and I stood up with my hand out to him. "Matt." I said his name with a smile. I wanted to show him my island and all the things that I couldn't as a seal and I my growing excitement was making me jittery. "Bli med meg." I shook my hand at him wanting him to take it. I was going to show him the waterfall with it's clean tasting water. And above that where the pool was with it's smooth, slick stones you could ride down to splash in the water.

I, too, got to my feet and took her hand in mine. It felt so natural. I must have mentioned my name to her and forgotten about it, she couldn't have learned it from the seal.

"Blymed meg?" I inquired, hoping that I understood what she meant to have me hear, even if not what she meant to have me comprehend. This would be the way of it until we could make a common language.

I hoped that the steadinesss of my grip, while gently held, would make her feel more comfortable with me. Of course, with her being so excited -- and that excitement was so delightful -- she wasn't apt to calm down anytime soon. Perhaps when she became more familiar with me, she would let me hold her.

I nodded his head as he tried to repeat the sounds that I just made. "Bli med meg." I stopped and crinkled my brow trying to get him to understand the sounds. I let go of his hand and waved my arm like I had seen him do when he first saw me as a maiden and ran a few steps ahead of him. "Bli med meg." I waited for him to come to me and smiled again and nodded my head. I wasn't sure if that would help him understand but since he was already doing what I wanted him to do I didn't think it mattered too much.

Grabbing his hand again I quickly looking him over. His body seemed healthy and while he had faulted to run after me as I seal I wondered if he would be more friendly to the idea now that I too was a human. I pulled a little and quickened the pace, still more of a run in place to a quickened pace then even a jog. "Kjore?" I tilted my head to the side and pointed to my running feet and said the word again.

I didn't like waiting for anything and I always found things to be more fun if you moved towards them as fast as you could. I was proud of my island and the secrets it held and with Vessa gone I was happy to have someone else to play and share with. Male were stronger but would Matt be faster then me when he was fully healed? I doubted it.

"Oh." I gasped. Matt didn't seem to know how to swim. That was the whole reason she had to save him was because the ocean was fighting with him and he didn't know how to fight back. I smiled and squeezed Matt's hand in a silent promise. I was going to teach him to swim when we got to the waterfall and hiked to the pools.

"Blymed meg," I repeated, guessing from her smiles and nods that I had the sounds right, if not yet the meaning. Perhaps that would become clear in time. It would be no simple feat to learn one another's tongues, but it seemed that we were both interested in communicating, enough so that it would actually happen in a fairly short amount of time.

When she held my hand and tugged me forward and broke into a run, I went along with her. I was feeling somewhat better by now, and while not at the peak of my health I was up to a run. Besides, she seemed to feel such glee at doing this that I wanted very much to do it with her. I discovered that making her smile and laugh so was just about the one thing in life I wanted to do, at least for the moment.

"Kajore, did you say?" She repeated it, and I thought that I had it right. Did that mean "run?"

I nodded like I understood what the human was saying. Again he was doing what I wanted him to do so I didn't think it mattered. I kept a firm grip of Matt's hand and ran faster. The hill that separated my beach from his was nearing and when we climbed over it there was a fair stretch of beach and at the end of it was the hillside where her cave was. But not ready to share that with him I turned from it and ran up the beach till the waterfall was in sight.

I looked back and let Matt's hand go and ran even faster. I let my hands out and started spinning tilting my head to look at the sky so I wouldn't get sick. When my feet touched the fresh water I stopped and waited for my human. "Matt!" I called out laughing pointing to the waterfall. I wanted to keep waiting but I was excited to play in the water. I skipped and laughed as I ran into the falling water.

There was still sand on my body from when I laid down on my belly and sat next to Matt but the fresh water washed off all the sand and made my body tighten with the chill that the water held. With my hair plastered down my back it hid nothing of my body. I didn't think of the effect it could maybe have on Matt and made no move to hide.

When she let my hand go, I felt this wave of disappointment, but continued to run after her. It was pretty clear that she didn't mean to abandon me at all, she was showing me her island, and in particular this wonderful waterfall. I might have paid more attention to the spectacular scenery, like something from out of a movie, if I hadn't something much more beautiful to look at.

"Romy," I called back to her. It was a lovely name. It could be gypsy or Hungarian or Rumanian or who knows what. For the time being at least it really didn't matter. It was her name, and that was more than good enough for me.

She scampered underneath the waterfall and began to arch her back and writhe as her hair clove to her form before my eyes. I have never seen such an erotic sight in all my born days, and if I'd had a raging hard-on before, it was just that much more intense now.

Not so quickly, I went after her, mindful of what I might be stepping on underneath the water. I came up to stand next to her, not pressing against her but at very close range, and tried to take one of her hands, if she would let me, in both of mine.

I heard Matt call for me and waved like I had seen him do. "Matt." I called back, returning the sound of his name to him.

He acted slow in stepping into the water and it made think again how he couldn't swim. I would have to teach him that there was nothing to be afraid of. I opened my mouth and let the rushing water fill it before I closed and swallowed. The water's taste was crisp and clean and lacked the salty bitterness of the ocean's taste. "Vann." I told Matt opening my mouth again to take a drink. "Ingen frykt."

He was close now and when he reached out to take my hand I did the same to his. He held my hands as I held his. I didn't understand the meaning of this touch but he looked less heavy minded standing next to me. "Vann." I repeated the sound and turned his and over and cupped them together with mine under his. "Drikke." His cupped hands filled with water and I bent my head and drank from his hands to show him it was okay. "Ingen fryky." And pushed his hands towards him.

Every creature and plant needed water and I hadn't seen the human drink from the sea or from water of his own since he was here. "Jeg vil vare paa deg." I smiled up at him removing my hands from his to cup his face. My smile soft and caring.

She was right -- I did need water to survive. The fact that she could drink this water didn't mean that I could, we would have different immunities. If it had been up to me, I would have waited another couple of hours, to let my body recover more fully from the battering it had taken in the sea just an hour ago, before I had to start suffering the shits from the local water, but it had to happen sooner or later anyway. May as well get it over with now.

I drank the water from my cupped hands -- it seemed to please her rather a lot, and I wanted to make her happy. Romy's smile, her laugh, they were worth living for. The water tasted pure and clean, free of the chemicals I was used to tasting.

I let the rest of the water spill from my hands, and turned them over so that I could take Romy's hands in mine again. Then I waited to see how she would react. I didn't want to scare her, and I also wanted to get her more used to touching me.

Matt held my hands and I looked down at them. I didn't understand what he wanted but his touch didn't bother me. My head tilted to the side as I looked back up at his face. "Matt?" I made his name a question because I didn't have the sounds to ask him what it was that he wanted. There was a lot that we both needed to learn about each other and I didn't know when or how to start.

I looked at our hands again. His were so much larger then mine. I opened his hand and rested mine up against his taken in by the sight of the difference. Everything about him was so much bigger then me. He was like a tree, standing next to me. My eyes moved down his body. His legs were longer too and his steps as I recalled were far from one mark in the sand to another. Being able to cross over so much would make him fast. My eyes traveled up from his legs to the next part of him that confused me. I understood manhood but where did his go when he didn't want to mate. And why did it stand out like that? The more I looked at it the stranger the inside of me felt, so I looked away and up his body. I wanted to touch him but such brazen advances would only encourage him to mate and I didn't know if I could or wanted to. My eyes moved down to his length again and I knew that while I wasn't sure about the mating I did want to touch it. It was just so different. I moved my eyes up and took him in as a whole. Everything about him was different.

I was uncomfortable with the now and pulled my hands away from him. There was a heat in my face that I didn't knew the meaning of and blamed it on the sun. Stepping back I pointed off to the side of the waterfall where there was a trail that lead to smaller waterfalls and the pools that they carved out of the stone. I pointed up at the trail and made a question of his name again.

If he didn't want to do that and had a game he would rather play then I was open to the idea of learning a new game. Or maybe he could teach me more sounds. I liked the sounds that he made and I waited for him to answer.

I liked her speaking my name. "Romy," I returned back to her, with a firm tone in response to the question she put into her voice. I turned to face the direction in which she pointed; if she had more wonderful things to show me, like this waterfall, I was more than happy to go along with her.

That redness in her complexion was a reward in itself. She felt the heat between us as well. As the man, it was my place to lead her where she might not dare go, but there was so much unknown about her culture and her customs that I didn't want to press too hard, either. I was pretty sure that she must know the significance of my erection, though, and that she had brought it on.

"Lead on, if you have someplace to take me," I told her. She couldn't understand my words, but only through more conversation would their meanings start to become clear. "Or we could stay here, as you prefer."

I reached for her hand again. Not touching her was like being hungry or thirsty. I needed to touch her.

I shivered as if from a cold wind when he said my name. My brows crinkled as he made more sounds but I was suddenly not in the mood to hear them. I wanted him to say my name again. There was a feeling felt inside and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not and thought that if he said my name again I would get a better understanding on how I felt about the strange new feeling.

He moved to take my hand and the feeling right below the dip on my stomach tightened and grew hot. Not familiar with the sensation I moved away from his reaching hand. His man had magic to be able to made me feel inside when he wasn't even touching me. My hand moved to blanket the feeling and rested just below the dip and just above the soft curls between my leg. The pulsing was below the skin and it made me thing of the beats of my heart but different. The wrinkles in my forehead deepened and I dropped my hand realizing that I couldn't do anything to stop the feeling. And was more then glad to feel that it was going away.

I decided that I didn't like the feeling. It made my heart race and my breath come in fact gulps and the fact that there was a feeling inside of my body that I couldn't control scared me. No, I didn't want him to say my name again and I looked at the out stretched hand with narrowed eyes. Magic, was the word that repeated itself in my mind over and over and my eyes moved from Matt's hand to his face.

Shaking off the feeling was easy enough once I decided that I wanted nothing to do with it but it was like a something being opened. You could never truly close it because now you knew there was a door there that could be opened and the feeling was still there just strong enough to remind me that I had felt it.

I stepped out of the water and shook myself free of any drops but it wasn't like my self fur that shook loose linger drops. I was still wet and water still dappled my skin and hung from my hair. I moved towards the trail not sure it was space that I wanted between Matt or eagerness to show him the pools.

The hike didn't take long and along the way I pointed out birds, small insects and plants. I didn't have sounds for these things and just pointed them out. The island didn't have much in the form of mammals but what it lack in that it made up in other life forms. I knew we were close, you could hear the water falling in echos, unlike the loud rush of the first waterfall these were smaller and there were more of them and the sound was different. I was getting excited to get there and on my hands and knees I climbed over the last hump and stood up on the top of the hill.

"Matt!" I called out with a happy voice pointing to the protected valley. I came here often to play in the shallow fresh waters in my maiden form and knew the path to the waterfalls. It was once of my favorite inland sunning spots and with no predators on the island I knew I was safe to just back in the sun so far from the sea.

I wait to see Matt's face before moving down the path. I wanted to know if he would enjoy it as much as I would.

I watched the feelings play out on Romy's face as carefully as I could. She backed away from my hand, and I could tell that what she was undergoing was a new experience for her, and that she was by no means sure that she liked them.

While this disappointed me considerably, I was more than willing to wait for her, and I wondered if I had been pressing her too quickly. She didn't seem that she was especially young, but it was quite possible that she hadn't been around very many other people, perhaps no one from outside of her own family. I wondered where that family might be, or if she, too, had been marooned on this island, separated from everyone else she knew, and if so for how long.

When she stepped out of the water and shook herself free of the excess water, I did the same thing. I was still pretty wet, really, but how much did that really matter? The sun was up now, and it was getting warmer. I would be fine.

I followed her, not trying to take her hand again, and it felt lonely not being in contact with her even though she was still right there. I looked at the birds and insects she pointed out, some of the birds in particular being very colorful and exotic.

I began to realize that this was a pretty large island we were on. It was amazing that it wasn't listed on any of the charts. I decided that it must be, and that the storm had taken me so far off of my intended course that it was some island I hadn't looked at on the charts, not expecting to be anywhere near it. How far south did the Bahamas really go? I wasn't sure.

Clambering up after her to the top of the hill -- I hadn't done climbing like this since I was a kid -- I marveled at the spectacular vista, especially at the cascading waterfalls. "This is really something, Romy," I told her, smiling at her.
