Lost city.( vampire, lycan etc roleplay,Open to all)

I took his outstretched hand greatfully and rose from the floor. "I seem to have missplaced my pants somewhere," he said with a smile.

I laughed. "Not that I mind you with no pants," I smirked. "Let me see what I can find." In the blink of an eye I turned to mist form and was out of the apartment and into the first human male's apartment I could find. Not that it mattered, but the owner was currently out, which was better because I had more time to search for a suitable pair of pants.

"No, no, no..." I tossed several jeans aside. Laurent didn't seem like a jeans man...he was far more sophisticated. Finally, I settled on a pair of black pants that went with a suit. On second thought, I took a second pair of khakis. Then I misted carefully back to Talia's apartment.

After Aurelia left, searching for clothes Laurent checked out the apartment. It looked nice to live there. Very clean. He wondered who this ancient being that owned this place was. If he should be afraid or not. He was wary of her, very wary.

It was smart to be cautious around creatures older than yourself. Very smart. They could break you as easily as looking at you. Laurent rarely saw older vamps than himself, very rarely. In fact most vampires did not even get to the age of Aurelia, and she was not old. Maybe a year old or less.

If this ancient protected her and it seemed so to him, that explained why she was still alive. Not many vampires survived their first encounter with an older vampire. If not that encounter killed them they may run into one of the many hunters out there. The vampire hunter line had diminished critically over the centuries but they still where out there.

Vampires where safer in this modern era, mostly because humans where not believing in their existence. More or less at least. The hunters surely believed.

Laurent have had the pleasure of killing a few hunters in his long lifespan. In his early days as a vampire. As he used to think of it, in his bold and reckless days. Nearly died more than once. These days he was more cautious.

This encounter with Aurelia was the first time he reacted with passion in a very long time.

Still concerned about her protector or mistress he senses Aurelias return before seing her. Turning to her he sees her cloth package. With a thin smile he takes it from her. "thank you." Choosing the black pants, he dresses quickly. The pants and his white shirt fits well together.

"So Aurelia, Who is this protector of yours?"

"Protector?" I repeated, looking at him somewhat stupidly. "Oh you mean Talia? Well I wouldn't really say she is my protector. More of a friend, although it seems we are fond of each other." I paused, musing on my relationship with Talia. "As we've already established, I am rather young. When I came to this city, I was alone and Talia sort of took me under her wing. Taught me more about myself and my power. But I can't really say she's protected me. Indeed she nearly killed me once."

"Too much information," I thought to myself. Either because I needed someone to talk to, or perhaps because his eyes made me feel like I needed to tell him about myself, I had showed that I was weak. I shook my head warily and backed away from him slightly as I got myself redressed.

"And why are you here?"

Without really waiting to hear their answer, Happy Jack moved to the small furnace and sat the kettle on to boil, realizing that he would like some tea, even if they did not. He busied himself for a few moments, allowing the two vampires to examine the safehouse at their leisure, letting them make their own assumptions about his strengths and capabilities based on the run down and secondhand nature of their surroundings.

Turning from the stove, he looked from one of his visitors to the other befor kicking off his shoes and tossing his coat into the corner. "Excuse me for a moment, won't you?" he asked with a grin, moving to a clear area and closing his eyes. The sound of bones popping and tendons stretching soon filled the air, and he let out a grunt of effort as his body shifted and stretched, as fur sprouted and thickened, as the nails on his hands and feet grew to thick, raking talons, and his jaws reshaped to house his longer, sharper teeth. With a final shake of his head, Happy Jack stood now in his Lycanthropic form, his body grown to a thickly muscled six foot, and the features of his face now almost exactly copying those of his Lynx ancestors.

Working his jaw a bit, as if arguing with some lingering tightness there, he blinked his large, luminous eyes, and regarded his guests once more, his senses examining them for any sign of their reaction to his change, even as it seemed he could not care less for such results. "You ladies will have to forgive me for just changin on ya like this, but it It feels so good to relax every once in a while. And besides, I didn't think there was any real reason to keep up the pretense here."

"And why are you here?" Thinking of her question a moment he finally says "Well, i arrived here two nights ago. Seemed like a city good as any other." Smiling thinly he looks at her "You are the first of my kind i meet in this city. And what a friendly meeting it was."

"If you excuse me for a while, i need to go and feed."

I nodded as he made his excuse. Was that his way of saying "let me the fuck outta here" or should I take it at face value as him really needing to feed? As a vampire I was no better at deciphering males than I had been as a human.

"If you need me, you know how to find me," I said, trying hard to be indifferent. His blood in my veins would be a constant reminder of our brief passion. I myself was feeling a bit famished, but I could hardly leave a strange vampire in Talia's home, so I waited for him to leave.

Speaking of Talia...I wondered what she was doing. I concentrated on her thoughts and found her to be talking to some new character...a lycan it seemed. Perhaps I would have to go and check that out.

He did not lie to Aurelia. He really needed to feed, badly. After he had left the apartment he cruised the streets to find a suitable victim. It did not take long until he found a young woman in the corner of a street.

She was very young and attractive. Dressed in a short, black dress. Very pale skin but blood red lipstick. When he came closer to her he noticed that her paleness came from the use of powder. Smiling ironically he recognised it as a tool to look like a vampire.

So this young woman was a vampire wannabe. How ironic was it that she was about to fall wictim to the real deal?

He turned himself to mist and approached his victim from behind. He could see her fear when she was surrounded by the fog. She was about to run when he transfered back towards his human form and grabbed her left arm and hauled her to the ground with ease.

Straddling her torso he smiled down to her panic stricken face "Well, hello there beautiful one." She seem to have lost her tongue. She was just lying there and looked up at him. "You are the lucky one to be my meal tonight" he said to her with a grin that flashed her the clear view of his fangs.

Her terror was rising in her eyes as he leaned down and bit into her throat. A short shriek of pain and horror, nearly unharable. Her body started to shake as he fed from her delicious blood. Laurent could taste the fear and anxiety in her blood. That was the reason he did not try to seduce and comfort her.

It was a long time since h had fed and the fear made the blood taste sweeter. It did not take long until the woman was lifeless, and a short time after that she was totally dry.

Standing up he viewed his work. There was not a mark on her body except for the two fang marks at her throat. Smiling to himself he lifted up the dead body and carried it to a container he saw.

He dumped the body in the container. He was sure that the body should not be found until rats had gnawed away the signs of his attack. That the body contained no blood he could do nothing about.

Smiling and wissling to himself a merry tone he walked down the street. Towards Talias apartment, wissling a merry tone to himself. Feeling very well and refreshed.

Ryanna nods, “Of course. I’ll leave you to your task.” She stretches and finding that she’s not tired, returns to the club. As she enters, she walks up to the bar and orders a drink. She lets the music throb through her, her foot tapping to the beat while she waits for her drink. The barkeep hands her the glass and Rya leaves in search of a booth to watch the room from. Finding one, she sits and crosses her long legs.

Moments later, she senses the werecat in the room and looks up, searching for him. Shortly, Ryanna spots him approaching a pale woman who screams ‘vamp’ to Rya’s senses. ‘Well well well, what on earth is he doing?’ She thinks as she watches him speak to the vampire. Even with her heightened hearing, she can’t make out what was being said.

Almost panicking as she notices them walk off, Ryanna gets up and cautiously makes her way across the room. She finds a spot where she can just see the two of them and leans against the wall. She watches him bow deeply, his hands sweeping out to his sides. As they talk, a second vamp joins them, and moments later, the three leave. Rya waits a while and finishes her drink. She sets her glass down and proceeds to tail them by following the werecat’s scent. As she walks, the beat of music fading, Ryanna tracks them to an old warehouse. She lurks outside for a couple minutes and at hearing bones popping and the click of claws, she sits against the side of a neighboring building.

I watched him leave, and then, locking the doors I went to the balcony and dropped off it to the street below. His scent was in the air and I felt he must be close. Smirking to myself, I followed it walking, something I had not done in a while. Leaping across buildings was much more fun.

Suddenly the scent changed and instead of leading away from me, it was coming towards me. So, he was returning. A good sign if I did say so myself. I smiled and increased my pace.

"Laurent, darling," I sent him, letting the playful mood I was in be felt. "Would you like to do a bit of spying?" As I thought of Talia and what she and Garnet were up to, I noticed a well dressed older gentleman coming out of a highrise apartment building. I paused slightly and then turned in his direction.

"Good evening," I hailed him. His back had been towards me, but when I spoke he whipped around to face me. I scented fear at first but fear turned to lust when he saw me.

"Good evening to you, miss. What's a beautiful girl like you doing on the streets at this time of night? Dangerous, if I do say so myself." The man had a thick white beard, and a pot belly, making him look more than a little like Santa Claus, or at least what I had always imagined Santa Claus to look like as a kid.

"You know, I was just wondering the same thing myself," I said seductively. "A girl out to have a place to live, don't you think?" The man nodded somewhat speechlessly. A quick probe into his mind revealed that he was perfect for my plan, if you might call it a plan. No family to be thought of, no friends. He was a loner, and the type that my kind fed off of so easily.

"Would you like to see my new apartment?" I thought again to Laurent. To the older gentleman I said, "You're very handsome. Are you married?" I started to make my way through the door, knowing that he would follow.

"No, can't say that I am, although I'm always looking for that special someone," he replied, more than a little suggestively.

"Do you think I'm special?" I asked with pouting lips, letting him see the brilliance of my green eyes and seducing him with all the power my voice held.

"Very," he replied, seemingly sure of himself. With that he linked his arm with mine and pushed the button to the elevator. He punched in a code, which I read from his mind, and then we were going up, and up, until finally the elevator doors opened to a penthouse suite. I smiled as he gently led me out.

Home.

"The elevator code is 257 if you care to join me."

Laurent was curious of what Aurelia was doing. He sent her just a yes, he would like to see her new apartment. These young vampires could easily get themself into trouble. He hoped that this wasn´t a situation leading to that. Auriane was the first vampire he had met in this city, and as such he would wan´t her to stay alive.

Following her scent and another. One he could not recognise. It smelled old. Not old as in immortal, just old. He walked in a slow pace, tracking the scents. He could as easily have jumped across the roof tops but he rarely did that.

"The elevator code is 257 if you care to join me." Her voice in his head again. Intrigued by now he wondered what she was up to. He headed for the building and went through the door.

They had allready gone up in the elevator. Waiting for a moment he then pressed the call button. Once it was down he entered and pressed the code 257. "On my way now." he messaged Aurelia.

I smirked outwardly, though not at anything Jack did.

*Aurelia, my dear, moving out already?*

Mostly, however, I allowed Aurelia's mind to separate from mine, to give her as much privacy as could be allowed. I certainly had no desire to sense her thoughts, if the primal urgings of a mating could be so called, while with Laurent. I did only need to acknowledge her plan to acquire her own living-space.

I kept my body between Jack and Garnet, my protective .. maternal? .. instincts kicking in with the desire to keep her safe from harm.

"Tea would be lovely, yes. For a lycan, you are rather fetching. Then, I have always liked cats."

Level, easy, and casual words, no undertones to them. It was a fact, that Jack's feline appearance eased me far more than if he had been wolfish in nature.

Meanwhile, I found a good-sized seat, and took it, pulling Garnet down into the seat with me.

*Get comfortable, youngling. The easier you are around me, the more intimate we seem, the more likely he will think of us as a single force, a vampire and her beloved progeny. *

"Of course, we cannot stay long. All too soon the dawn arrives, and my youngling cannot stand the sunlight."

(PSSSSST! That's AURELIA!)

I had just finished my meal and was smacking my lips when I sensed that he was indeed on his way up. I sighed and hoisted the body up and into a nearby closet where it would have to wait until I had the time to dispose of it. I shut the door and right on time, the elevator dinged to let me know my first guest had arrived. Talia's voice shouted in the back of my head as well. "Yes my dear Talia, this penthouse is very much to my liking. But you will visit, with your new love won't you?" I sent back somewhat snarkily. I found that with many things, as I had been in my human life, I was in my vampire life, and jealousy maintained itself in my core. I felt a strong disliking towards Garnet, followed by a deep guilt that I had in fact been instrumental in her turning into something that she perhaps hated. That and the fact that despite everything that had happened between Talia and I, I still felt a sense of loyalty towards her.

I returned my attention to the situation at present. Laurent stood in the elevator looking just as handsome as he had at the club, only more carefree. My blood boiled at the thought of his hard body against mine. I smiled but somehow managed to keep my sexual side at bay.

"So, what do you think?" I asked coyly, waving a hand as if showing him my new place. "The former owner was just dying to give it to me, and well, who am I to object? Make yourself at home."

Obviously, having just arrived myself, I had no idea what was in the penthouse, except for one object that my gentleman friend had been so kind to think of upon his death. Somewhere in this place, there existed a safe, the code to which had been cried out in thought over and over again, almost as a plea for me to take his money and not him. Had I not been feeling extremely selfish, I might have considered it. Not a safe bet to make.

I sensed vague disapproval from Laurent. I chose not to ask him about it though. Instead I said, "If you do not have a place of residence, you are welcome to stay with me. At least for the moment."

Padding softly over to the small stove, Happy Jack removed two cups from the nearby rack and poured the elder Vampire and himself each a steaming cuppa. He did not pour one for the younger Garnet, uncertain of her ability to digest anything but blood at this early stage of her unlife, but brought Talia hers as he came, handing it to her before settling his furry form into a comfortable spot.

He pretended he hadn’t seen the protective stance that the Elder had taken when he changed, allowing them to make their own assumptions as to his powers of perception, and wondered idly after theirs as he took the first tentative sips of the scalding brew. After all, neither of them had seemed to react to the presence of the Tigress who had ensconced herself outside, and Talia seemed almost distracted… He realized suddenly that she must be in communication with someone, and cocked an eyebrow as he pondered who it might be. Judging from the skittish reactions of Garnet, it may well be her, at least in part, or it might be any of the other Vampires in the city… perhaps her young protégé…

”Of course not dear lady, I understand that!” he said amicably in response to her comment about the coming dawn ”And if there is ever anything that you need during such times, please don’t hesitate to ask. Consider it a recompense for your considerations during your hunts.”

He began purring then, absently using his oldest and most powerful tool to put the two women at ease. He had learned long ago that where the Wolves had their ability to induce terror, and the Bears had their ponderous strength, the Werecats had been blessed with the power to subtly influence the moods of those around them, purring to set them at ease or relax them, tensing and flexing to set them on edge, and so on… Of course, flexing would hardly have been heard by the Tigress outside, and a good purr was a clear sign that it was alright to approach…

(I know, must have been tired when writing that post hehe. Strangely enough i wrote Aurelia further in the post :))

Stepping out of the elevator into the penthouse. Laurent looked around before focusing on Aurelia. "So, what do you think?" she asks coyly, waving her hand to show him the place. Smiling thinly he nods to her. "A lovely place you have aquired here."

His eyes wander over the place until they stops at the closet. With an knowingly smile he turns back to Aurelia again. "If you do not have a place of residence, you are welcome to stay with me. At least for the moment." Nodding thoughtfully he responds. "After the body is disposed it will be very nice here." Smiling to her he adds. "Is this a way to show independence towards your friend?"

I sighed at his question. "Tonight she had Made another, a woman who I feel she is very much in love with. I am merely giving them their privacy." I paused, deciding what to do next. "Anyhow, the night is nearly done and there are still many things to be done." My first order of business was to check the bedroom for how much sun it admitted. I walked down the hallway, leaving Laurent to his own devices.

The penthouse was large, paneled with mahogany and decorated beautifully. The main entrance hall tapered off into a smaller hallway and a door stood at the end of this. Ignoring the doors that I passed on the left and the right, I went to this door, feeling sure it was the bedroom. It was and as I opened the door I stood in awe of it for a moment. A huge four poster bed stood against the far wall, with a small step that led up to it. A white tiger rug lay in the center of the floor, and I cringed upon seeing that. It would have to go. A fireplace against another wall and a huge television on the other. I smiled slightly. So many things that I woud have no use for, not to mention no time for.

There were no windows on the far wall, but two on either side. I was relieved to see that heavy black curtains were in place, and in order to make it sun proof, I had only to release them from their bindings. Pleased, I smiled and backed out of the room, shutting the door behind me.

Next order of business was to get rid of the body, an unpleasant task. The main entrance held two other hallways and I walked down them to see if there was a balcony. One hallway opened into a large living room, off of which lay my balcony, and the other opened into a sort of lounge room, complete with a jacuzzi room, pool table, and a bar. Ah heaven. I could stay in this place forever if I wanted to, only go out to feed every night. I felt sure that my powers of seduction could keep anyone from finding out what had happened to the older gentleman, if anyone asked at all.

"Mon coeur," I sent to Laurent, trying out my French. "Would you like to meet more of our kind?" As I said this I hoisted the body up out of the closet and walked to the balcony. A quick scent of the night air and a glance around told me the street was empty and I leapt high up to the next building. For this one I couldn't very well dump him in the first alley I found, as that would be the quickest way to bring unwanted guests. Yes, the cemetary where I had spent some time would do nicely for the older gentleman to rest in. I leaped quickly, not wanting to waste too much time, and soon I was at the cemetary. The crypt where I had spent the night was easy to get into, and I placed the body in a coffin. Then I misted my way out and was off to see Talia, hoping that Laurent would come along.

Ryanna had settled down for a long wait as dawn drew nearer. She had never thought that she would be following some strange shifter around town in the middle of the night. Here she was though, sitting outside his lair, breathing in his scent that had filled the area. She heard them talking about dawn and something to do with the vamp’s hunting. Ah, so that was the blood trail he was following earlier, she had wondered about that.

Rya stretched, arching her back like a cat , a move that was so natural to her, and stood up thinking to leave. Before she took a step though, she heard a deep rumbling purr coming from the warehouse and the werecat inside. It was obvious that he was trying to tell her she could come closer. She stood for a moment and let his purr soothe her. ‘Well if he wants me closer,’ She thought, ‘it’s easily done.

She slowly approached, making no noise, save for her breathing. Soon, she was standing a couple feet from the door. Pausing, she wondered what to do next, knock or wait for him.

His black-tipped ears twitching, the predator known as Happy Jack listened to the stealthy approach of the Tigress, judging her location from her breathing, which seemed to be the only noise she wanted to make at the moment. He continued to purr loudly, willing her to come in, interested in seeing the reaction of the two Vampires seated nearby, and was slightly disappointed when she seemed to hesitate a this doorstep. "Excuse me ladies," he rumbled to his guests as he rose from his comfortable seat and crossed to the door with one gracefull leap, landing as noiselessly as a feather despite his baggy clothing.

Opening the door quickly, he grinned into the face of the Tigress, purring once more, and reached forward to wrap his furry arms around her in a happy embrace. "There you are! he gushed at her, rubbing his head alongside hers and finally resting his chin atop her soft brown hair. "I have missed you sweety, where have you been?

Dawn was nearing, and Garnet apparently was having none of this. Besides, the other lycan that had been following at a distance decided to make her move .. tenative though it was.

I set down my cup of tea, and stood bringing Garnet to a stand with me.

"I see you have another guest. My youngling and I must be off before the dawn in any case. Sir, a pleasure. Ma'am, perhaps in the future we will have more time for a proper introduction."

Wordlessly, I walked out the door, guiding Garnet by her hand. So long as nothing else happened, I would take her back to the apartment, by rooftops, that was ours now that Aurelia had acquired her own place ....

I arrived at where Talia's scent ended just in time to see her walk out the door of a old abandoned warehouse. "Going home so soon lovers?" I sent to both her and Garnet whose hand she clasped. The message was friendly, an invite to stay out and play a little longer. I stayed on the rooftop, not wanting to tangle with the werecats, the one who had been hunting me, who I knew still lingered inside the building, at least not yet. So what was Talia doing mingling with them? That seemed unusually below her. I had never known her to talk to lycans before, but then again, I really didn't know her all that well.

(SOOOO :) After almost 2 and a half months of posting about the same night we're finally moving on to a new night. Whoopee! ;) )

Laurent kept following Aurelias in her footsteps. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop. It was a long time since he had felt such a freedom as being so high up meant. He felt that his body was more relaxed than he could remember it had been in a very long time.

He stood next to Aurelia when the ancient vampiress and her protege came out in the open. I sensed that two lycans was close by and my body instincively prepared itself for whatever was coming next. Laurents experience with lycans was not of the friendly kind. More like dogs and cats.

Garnet traveled and willingly entered the were-mans home. It was like a dream. She had only ever been in one before, and that was old old lycan who couldn't do her any harm if he wanted to.

Talia's strong tug and unspoken words snapped her back to reality. She smiled easily at the strange man, and tried to look like she belonged right next to Talia.

Then suddenly the party was over. Talia was ushering Garnet to her feet and out the door. She walked with a grace that seemed unatural to her, and she wondered if it was something with her vampire side now.

She had wanted to ask the man about what he knew about her magic. He had mentioned it before, but didn't elaborate. She wanted to know if it had been something that was used against him, such as her many anti-lycan spells she had sold.

She waited untill she was outside, alone with Talia.

"I wonder what that was about"

She spoke aloud, ignoring the probably easier communication by sending messages with her mind. She wanted to feel somewhat human.

I grinned at the tigress.

"Don't mind us. We were just leaving. Night-owls."

I was hearing Aurelia in my mind, and Garnet with my ears. I glanced at Garnet, wondering that she didn't react to Aurelia's rather sarcastic appraisal of our relationship. I made sure we were out of earshot of the lycans.

"Our friend Jack wanted us to be more careful with our victims. We must dispose of them better, so the sheep don't find them. So, he was one of your former clients? Perhaps to keep on his good side, you should provide him with more of your magics? Maybe we can get the kitties and the puppes fighting each other, eh?"

*Lovers, eh? A fine one to talk miss, Oh Mi Amore.*

My mental tone was light and teasing.

"Garnet, Talia and her new boy-toy apparently want to play with us. Shall we?"

Still clasping her hand, and not especially interested in her decision, I lept to the rooftop where Aurelia and Laurent stood.

"Greetings. Aurelia, you remember Garnet. Introduce us to your .. umm .. friend."

I kept my body between Aurelia and Garnet, sensing they were not necessarily on the best of terms ....

Laurent stood warily and looked at the two vampires in front of him. He was not really scared of the ancient. It was rather that he was cautious. You never knew with the old ones. If they did not like the sight of you they could easily kill the weaker ones.

Laurent was not one of those, however if she decided to kill him. All he could do was to try and get away. Even then the chance of survival was slim. He looked straight at Talia and did not pay much interrest in Garnet. Even though he sensed some unusual powers in the young one. Smiling coldly and directing his words to Talia. "I do not need to be introduced by anyone except myself." Smirking slightly he adds. "My name is Laurent Montaque."

I grinned in his direction, and held out my hand.

"Talia. A pleasure, Mr. Montaque."

He was sufficiently old to not be a doormat, even in my presence. Truthfully, I considered him to be of good character, for Aurelia to associate with him .. and for him not to harm her in the process of that association.

"My youngling is Garnet. So Aurelia, what games did you have in mind, that we can finish before dawn arrives?"

A smile crossed my face at Talia's mental voice. Playful indeed. Laurent was guarded, cautious as I had been at first around Talia. "Rather sharp that was," I said in his direction. "We are all brothers and sisters after all. I for one enjoy all of your company." Garnet though, seemed to be rather upset at me. She had ignored my mental voice and had yet to say anything to me.

"Garnet, I do hope you understand what happened earlier tonight. It was nothing personal. I made a promise to Talia that was nescessary to keep." I eyed her. Talia had made a point of stepping in between us, as if she was afraid I would harm the new one. I was not that way. Besides, my jealousy of earlier had waned; after all, I had wanted to be independant from Talia.

"So, games," I smiled. "Each of us has our own powers. First one to bring a mortal willingly to the park wins."
