Magic in Words (Closed)

Alex stopped in his tracks.

"Nadya," he said softly. He cupped her cheek, caressed it, hoping to bring her back from whatever horror she was seeing. "It's ok. It's ok." He put himself back in his pants, hoping that it's removal would encourage her to calm down.

"Nadya, speak to me. It's alright. Don't push yourself." He kissed her forehead lovingly. "Shhh. It's alright."

Nadya simply balled up shaking and sobbing.

He...

She just shook her head... we have to get him out of that boy and gone forever... He...

She was rambling unable to imagine what happened to her in the past... it was part of what the past always tried to hide from her.

Alex held her close to him.

"I thought the old woman already took care of him?" he asked. "I thought she'd...exorcised him, or something. Is he still here?"

The necklace simply blocks him from actively accessing the boy if he finds another with Dragomir blood though... I guess its not far off that he could try to return through them.

She Snuggled against him feeling better but still remembering what happened.

He tried to lay claim to her distracting your father away from his office but it did not last as long as he hoped... he tried to...

Shaking her head she buried her face in his shoulder and neck fighting to forget or at least release that memory.

Alex continued to hold her as she cried on him. He felt so powerless. Every time it seemed they'd overcome some great obstacle, another one still loomed on the horizon.

"Shh. It's ok, my Nadya," he said, trying to sound comforting. "We'll find a way."

Snuggling into his embrace she smiled slightly. She felt safe with him even with the memories torturing their tender moment. Her hand reaching to his cheek as she stared into his eyes doing all she could to forget for now that horrific memory. They would have to find a way to permanently get rid of the spirit of his brother so they could after so many centuries be free to be together.

The morning light crept through the window to rest on Alex and Nadya. Still mostly unclothed, they lay curled together, fitting together in a way only two truly in love can. Alex stirred from the remnants of some pleasant dream. Seeing Nadya still in his arms, he smiled and kissed her cheek.

She stirred a little at the kiss and smiled softly.

Morning...

She however seemed unwilling to tear herself away from him or this bed any time soon as she lay there pulling the blankets closer around them and snuggling more against him.

Alex kissed her back, not too keen on getting out of bed himself.

It was, by far, a strange situation. Here he was, a woman in his arms, naked and beautiful. Yet it was like this barrier separated them.

"C'mon," he said. "We better find the old woman. See what she's found out."

Sighing she nodded knowing they would need to deal with everything in time including her fears and panic from memories. She really did not want to leave this place and him and just find a way past it on her own.

Yeah maybe we should.

Getting out of bed she walked over to the wardrobe and took out some jeans and a t shirt and got dressed. As if on cue the Butler walked up knocking on the door and telling Alex he had some clothes for him of a more modern comfort but he tried to keep it close to what he would prefer from his time.

Alex almost didn't notice the butler walking in, his eyes preferably occupied with the sight of his love getting dressed. He thanked the man and put on the new clothes. They were definitely...different from what he was used to, but were still fairly simple and like his style from those long centuries past.

Fully dressed, he smiled at Nadya. "Breakfast first, i hope?"

Breakfast sounds great and then I will talk with the old woman about the memories and what can be done to stop the panic like what happened last night.

She turned around seeing him in modern clothing it was a given now he looked good in or out of anything. She smiled softly and walked over to him pressing a kiss to his lips as she then walked towards the door and off to the dining hall.

Alex stopped her at the door, and answered her questioning glance by pulling her close to him. His lips descended on hers as his arms wrapped around her. He could feel her heartbeat pounding on his chest.

When he broke the kiss, he said "Just wanted to remind you how much I love you." Then he walked through the door and said with a wink, "You coming?"

She curled into the kiss with a smile.

Love you too Alex

Laughing as he used it to get out ahead of her she shook her head and moved to walk with him

They made their way down to the dining room, where the butler and the old woman were already waiting, breakfast laid out for them. As they were seated, the butler went over some routine duties of the castle.

"The locals are starting to complain, sir," he said. "They're saying that they are hearing strange things in the middle of the night. Ghosts or something." He gave Alex and Nadya a pointed look. "It seems your brother isn't quite done with his fun just yet."

Alex nodded, and turned to the old woman. "Then what is it we need to do?"

He is a dark one... has plan... the boy will be alright but he is a Dragomir by blood... this will not be easy... but we will win... it is far beyond time for you two to have peace and happiness.

She smiled to them urging them to eat and shooing the butler off to his duties.

Towns people now worry too much back then simply ward their houses and go on about their lives or have Gypsies do so but can't ward him from his home he is bound here must find out why... I will consult the other spirits and see what I can find

Alex nodded, placed his hand over Nadya's. "Then what should we do? There must be something I can do to help."

He wanted them to have their lives. He just wished he wasn't so powerless.

The old woman smiled.

You two simply live your lives be happy and live

Her head turned to the butler.

You tell town people this place not center of government any more this private home... talk to old families they will help with younger generations will help them understand this is old world situation and go on.

Alex nodded reluctant agreement.

"Alright," he said. He turned toward Nadya. "So, I guess we're pretty much free for most of the day. Got anything in mind for what we can do?"

Lets wander the paths and areas we used to travel... out away from this castle out in the wilds lets see how much of it has changed.

She smiled to him strangely wanting to be out of here and out in the open. She loved the castle but she wanted out for a while and what better way than to reminisce with him

Alex nodded, a little lost in thought. "Of course. Let's."

He rose from his chair and offered Nadya his hand. When she took it, they both went out to the stables. The stable workers had already prepared two fine horses for them, a hardy chestnut stallion, and a sleek bay mare.

"You know, I don't think I ever asked," he said. "Do you know how to ride?"

Normally horses and Animals either really like me or hate me... so no never really been riding.

About that time the stallion went to snap at her only to get nipped fairly hard by the mare.

See...

Alex grabbed a hold of the stallion's bridle, calming it. "So I see," he commented. He called one of the stable hands over as he talked to the best.

"Shhh," he whispered. "Some other time, friend." Turning to the stable hand, he said "Just the mare, for now."

"I guess since you haven't ridden before," he said, with a smile. "Might be better to take the mare, since it seems to have taken a liking to you."

Okay... thats fine. She at least is not afraid of whatever my abilities are... They don't normally like me though so I guess since she does we could both ride on the Mare if she will let me. Liking me and accepting me as a rider may be two different things.

Alex chuckled. "Guess it's a good thing I'm riding with you," he said. "Let me help you up."

Alex gently hoisted Nadya onto the mare. The horse nickered softly at this new rider, but otherwise remained calm. In a moment, Alex was seated behind Nadya on the gentle horse, and they were cantering toward the gate.

"Get ready," he whispered into Nadya's ear.

As soon as they cleared the gate, Alex spurred the mare into a trot, giving her her head, and letting her enjoy the ride. The countryside opened up before them as they followed several trails to the nearby forest.
