I'm unhappy with m body hair growth and have finally come to the point of seriously considering shaving, but except for electic shaving my beard every morning have no experience or knowledge about shaving at all.

Trimming the hair on my legs and stomach works very well, but I'd like to get them really smooth at least to try out how it is. I tried hair removal cream once, but my body hair seems to thick to for it to work and while it still felt nice at first it startet to hurt like hell the next morning and for the next three days. I'm not so keen with trying that again until I know what went wrong. :D

So please, could you help me finding the best way for me to remove body hair?

waxing!
shaving often comes back prickly and itchy. I find it doesn't have that with waxing too much.
Try the sticky at the top of the page - blank manual - there is a hair removal section

Yeah, unless you're prepared to keep shaving (like daily or every other day), you should probably go the waxing route. If you decide you like being hairless/less hairy, and money is an issue, you may be able to learn to wax at home, or you could make the decision to shave at that point.

If you do decide to shave, you might want to do a smaller area (like you lower legs) first, and definitely trim the hair as close as possible with your clippers before using a razor.

As Gem said, there's lots of good advice on shaving and other types of hair removal in the Blank Manual sticky.

Completely forgot about the Blank Manual.
Thanks even for that small hint. ;)

easy

shave, it takes just a few minutes and becomes part of your morning routine, and is financially viable as well.....been smooth for several years, will never go back

use a razor and shaving cream. use a light hand in sensitive areas, lighter than you might use on your face. i generally only trim rather than actually shave, but lightly running a razor over the genital region does the trick nicely to trim the area. and yes, you want to trim before full-blown removal, at least IMX. a second effort is IMX necessary to get the area shaved clean.

as with any other aspect of shaving, using a finger or two to hold the skin taut in the area to be shaved works well.
