Maryland is for lovers?

Been a quiet week it seems in Maryland. Cannot say I have done anything interesting this week to tell about. Just been busy at work. Playing in a Guys and Dolls golf tournament tomorrow so that should be fun. Still trying to finish the deck but the rain last Sunday and the forecast for rain this Sunday are messing me up.

Excited about the Nationals, just hope they can keep the momentum and win 2 more games. Would be cool to have the Capitals and Nationals both being champions in their respective sport. No hope for the Redskins and not much hope for Maryland Football so not much excitement in football for me this year.

Anybody got any fun plans for the weekend?

MD guy here. Actually split between MD and PA but I'm MD born and raised except for my military service. Primarily Baltimore area. Hi everyone.

This has become a hairy-assed convention. What happened to our sexy skinny dipper? We need some of the fairer sex to liven this joint up.

Definitely lack of women posting on the thread lately. Don't know where they all went, especially El. Maybe her bf moved closer so spending her free time with him.

How is everyone's week starting out? Any fun plans for the week?

Unfortunately, it's going to be the same old, same old. Agree with you Stargazer and the other guy who posted yesterday -- we need to hear from, maybe see a few female Marylanders to spice things up. Like you, I wonder about Elgirldani -- she was posting on Titty Tuesday there for a while. Elgirldani -- if you're out there, let your Maryland fans know, and maybe grace us with a pic of your pulchritude!

Hi everyone. I’ve been away from Lit for a while. Every so often I check in on this thread though, and it was nice to see that some of you have missed me, or at least missed my posts on TT.

Today is my birthday. It’s been decidedly underwhelming. Worked all day, came home to a birthday dinner that I ended up eating by myself, and then listening to a family member vent about a potentially career ruining mistake they made at work.

Happy birthday to me. :(

Sorry that your birthday was not better. Please know your presence in this thread makes it so much better! Let us know if we can possibly repay you, especially for your birthday!
Happy belated Birthday!!!

Sorry to hear about that Dani. You deserve a better birthday than that. How about a redo? I declare this your birthday week. Lets figure out what you want and how to get it.

Hi El,
My birthday was Monday but I spent mine in the hospital. I had my left hand go numb and my pinky and ring finger lost mobility and strength so they are checking to see if I had a mini stroke. I feel fine other than my hand. My birthday was not a very good one either so I can understand your feelings but at least we both are still having birthdays.

We do miss you El, not just your pics. Who else am I going to banter with on the thread because I do know you still want to get naked with me. :D

Happy belated birthday to you
You know your buttery body has enticed all of us to want you to the nth degree
Don't despair life is good and many people want to have you in a carnal way

I went to see John Mulaney at the University of Maryland tonight. Great show at the Xfinity Center. 7,000 people.

At one point John took a sip from his water glass and the crowd cheered. He was taken aback, but kept going. I didn't realize what was happening either. Then 15 minutes later when John took another drink, the crowd cheered again even louder. He riffed on it for a few minutes. Later he picked up his glass, and the crowd began to cheer before it even reached his lips. John appeared genuinely freaked out at this point. Someone in the back yelled out "hydrate or die-drate". It became a whole thing for 5 to 10 minutes as John went off about how water-obsessed Maryland students are. How he was thirsty but didn't want to drink the water now because the crowd was like a cult or something.

John joked about getting himself named president of the University and outlawing water. Someone in the front row told him the current president is resigning. It took me a second to remember why. Jordan McNair. The Terp football player who died of dehydration on the practice field.

It's oddly touching how the whole campus seems to have internalized that event and made it this cultural touchstone. John played it well. He called us the strangest college crowd he'd ever played to. I hope after the show someone explained to him about Jordan and what had happened tonight. I wonder if this was the first time or if cheering for water drinkers is just part of Terp culture now.

That is kind of strange. I can certainly understand remembering, even memorializing the player but going so far as to cheer every time someone takes a sip of water seems to be taking it to far but then I did not know who John Mulaney was so I am the one out of step with current culture. So when they get their first job and see their boss take a drink of water are they going to give him/her a standing ovation? :)

Elgirldani! Great to see you back here among your MD buds! Happy birthday to you as well -- sounds like you should extend the celebration a few more days since your actual b-day was "underwhelming."

I hope your return also means you'll be making regular appearances on TT. But remember -- we'd love for you to preview your TT appearances here on the MD is for Lovers thread. Because here, every day is Elgirldani Day!

Do we need to start another group chant... take it off... take it off... lol

This has become a hairy-assed convention.

Personally, I don't see a problem with that! :D

I've been in MD all my life, except for 3 months when I was born in Washington D.C. and moved to Delaware when I was 3 months old.

How is everyone??

I would love it if it was 50 women for every guy. :D Then we could call it a nice, smooth ass convention.

Weekend is almost here so that makes me happy. Heading to homecoming at Maryland on sat though mostly for the tailgate and not the game.

How are you doing?

I'm okay, loving the weather change and the crunchy leaves on the ground. :)

Right? It's finally Friday, have fun at your tailgate.....I'm well, thank you!

I, too, will be spending a good chunk of the weekend at UMD for homecoming -- tonight is first basketball game, tomorrow we get our asses kicked by Michigan (like you, StarGazer, I may hunker down at the tailgate and blow off some/most of the game!

It's good to see the Maryland gang ready for the weekend!

I don't follow college football as I'm more involved in the NFL. But I'm waiting for college basketball season. Hoping the Terps do well.

Headed to WV tomorrow to look at some land I might buy. Should be a nice day for it.

Nice! I hunt there and have a lot of family in WV, it's beautiful there. I hope to retire there some day. :)

Hunting is one of the reasons I'm interested in the property.

I'm hoping it's good for deer and turkey. My son has 20 acres close by. I'm retired now and might build out there.
