A Roman Rant...

OK, folks--I'm off-line for 36 hours, and I'm already behind on this thread by several pages? What happened to fair Maryland to get all of this blood boiling? Of course, it's obvious--BethAnne, plus FeistyRed, plus many others who have followed--seems like we actually can have a Maryland Lit-together and NOT meet in a phone booth!

But, as Princess knows, I have a record of not being invited to any orgies that are going on...seems like my perfect record remains quite secure! It just isn't fair...I guess I'll just have to make some fun of my own--unless someone cares to join me!

Enjoy all that powdery stuff...I know I do! And we may get more of it tomorrow night? Woohoo!

BethAnne, at some future date. But here's my Indy 500 story: I was in the Navy, attending broadcasting school (yes, your tax dollars go to making trained killers into DJs and news reporters). Anyway, the Defense Information School (DINFOS) was based in Indianapolis back then (now, it's at lovely Ft. Meade, MD). Anyway, I was going to school there and I was too hung over to get up early in the morning to buy my Indy 500 tickets, so I said, Heck, I'll just watch it on TV. So time went by and it was early spring. I called up one of my old girlfriends and I said, hey, why don't you come down Memorial Day weekend and we'll hang out and watch the Indy 500 on TV. So she said sure. She drove down and we got reacquainted, etc. Sunday afternoon we were sitting in the hotel. I turned on the TV at noon or so to catch the race and Jim Nabors' singing. Hmmm, why is MASH on instead of the race? It's not raining. I flip through all the channels, even though the race is on ABC. It's 12:15, still no race to be found. What in the world is going on? I check the local paper. Blackout restrictions: the Indy 500 is not broadcast in Indianapolis because they want all the local people to attend the race and fill the stands. I was so mad! She laughed at me the rest of the afternoon and I had to laugh about it, too. The weekend wasn't a total loss, as she allowed me to make it up to her. And that's my humiliating story about the Indy 500. I hope you all enjoyed the chuckle. Now, I'm going back to my movie and my Bass.

Talk about coincidences...I've never been a big NASCAR fan, as my first allegiance is to Indy car racing, since the Indy 500 is run on or near my birthday (May 30) every year! Haven't had a chance to watch recently, and never went there in person, but I always was a fan of A. J. Foyt and the rest...

EVENING EVERYONE!

I always miss all the fun! I just couldn't keep my eyes open a min. longer last night. I drank a whole bottle of wine with dinner & it was kicking my ass. See what it got me??? I missed everyone..AGAIN...DAMMIT!

Beth Anne... I have wandering eyes and hands darlin..I just happen to know Roman a little better. No one else ever talks to me...lol..Except you girls. I have only been on LIT since beginning of Jan., but I swear most people are sooooo stuck up. Roman was nice enough to welcome me on the VA thread..and he really does love the way I scream his name! I look forward to a grand time in the tub tonight if ya want me back(even if I'm not from Maryland) No wine tonight..and I promise not to take my ball & go home

Well, Princess...if I'm aiming to get to know someone better than thru your typical Lit posts, I agree that sharing real portrait shots is the way to go...but my interest in exploring exhibitionism probably won't extend to plastering my face all over Lit, so to speak!

Anyhow, thanks for the encouragement--still undecided about what pics I might post or when. Interesting how guys love ampic threads of women focusing just on breasts or similar features, without requiring a face to go with them, but women seem to like pics that have more 'personality!'

My favorites were Emmerson Fittipaldi, Danny Sullivan (remember the double 360-degreer from '85?) , Rick Mears, and now Sarah Fisher, if she ever gets her act together. There's a whole bunch of racers I can't remember now, but I watched open-wheel racing long before I discovered NASCAR. As to the make-up, hmm, that will require even more contemplation. Maybe you can teach me some new Japanese phrases?
