Melbourne (AUS)

There have been a couple of discussions about getting the Melbourne folk together and not a great deal of interest has been aroused.....

However plans are underway on another site for a get together.....Doormouse and I have been plotting for a little while....if you are interested send me a Pm and I will keep you in the loop for info as and when it becomes available.....

BTW I noticed on an old post that you are involved with a car club......which one?

that would be fantastic if we could work out a way to all meet, name the time and the place and I will be there :nana:

Hi All

I'm a Melb boy, living in Western Melb (the better side - mainly cos it's cheaper!). Am probably Melb through and through, love footy, of Australian heritage, patriotic, love sex, all the good stuff.

Anyways,

Hope you all have a good night (interesting to be conversing in real time and knowing what time it is for others responding!)

Greetings all, welcome to all the newish posters and lurkers, Ladybird, vapid, bair, sub, to name but a few, pull up a chair, make yourself at home.

Re footy, i am an All Black fan,(being an expat kiwi, grin) so you wont get any joy from me on the AFL side, though the Footy Show is a bit of a hoot,,, meanwhile I am looking forward to the NZL Americas Cup Team taking the Cup back to NZL,, ,fingers crossed. Mind you it was a team of kiwis, that took the cup to Europe,, bugger them, ach well, such is professional sport, they need to make the most of their talents and live too

G'day Bluewater,

Well, well, well - a Kiwi living in our fine city! Didn't they make that illegal ;) Just joking, one of my best mates is a Kiwi, although he is now living in Adelaide of all the bad luck. Union is good (AFL is of course supreme), but I love all sports, can't admit to knowing that much about the Americas Cup though, I think the only year it existed in the Australian psyche was 1983.

Anyway, hi again to all and have a good weekend.

Hey Blue...couldn't you sleep again?

After two in the morning, that last post of yours......... try warm milk, sweetie.......or turkey........they both contain the same sleep inducing enzyme..

Regarding the Melbourne Meet.......please PM me with your interest and your location within Melbourne as we are still deciding on a venue......we would like it to be a reasonably central location to the majority.....so get your PMs in quick.

Time to party!

thats no reason not to make it, I have only known the people on here about the same time as you have and as for travel I have about 160 Ks to get to Melb, no one really cares what you look like we are meeting to chat ,maybe a BBQ in a park or something (mind you hard to plan the weather) its simple easy no pressure get together

Firstly, I would endorse nostress' comments about how well known or otherwise people are.....most of us have never met anyone else from these boards, and this was a chance to do so. We were considering making it an event where poeple could come with their partner, although there are a lot of people out there who's partners don't know what they're doing on the net and want to keep it that way!

As for coming from Cranbourne....I wouldn't let that worry you, quite a number of interested parties are coming from much further afield than that! We will try to set a location somewhere that will be accessible to those not close by.

On the other hand...you don't have to come if you don't want to!

I still want to know what sort of cars you like to play with! I'm an old car nut from way back....so much so, I have driven my old girl (that's my car I'm talking about) to Perth and back for a National rally in days gone by!

WOMBAT when we had the first LIT meet here in Sydney no one knew anyone so all 15 of us took the chance & had a bloody fantastic time meeting, drinking & having a sexy time with new friends.Over the last few years we have had lots of new friends attend & not one felt out of place so go for it & enjoy meeting the ppl your posting with.

I also look forward to our 4th LIT meet (AKA G&G) & meeting more new friends, we are all just normal DV8s anyway.

bump means it's just a posting to take the thread back up to the top of the threads list
