Whatever "more accurate" is, as, obviously, different men experience it differently. On top of that, I'm willing to bet that 97 percent of men don't even make the effort to analyze it as has been done here. They want it and when they get it then they're good to go. A popular scenario for TV and movies is the man getting out of bed right after hot sex and dressing to go somewhere else while the woman lays there and pants with slitted eyes. I wouldn't be a bit surprised that this is an accurate commentary on the "afterglow" comparison for most.

In my personal experience, the male will often lie there comatose for anywhere between a minute or three (in the daytime) and the rest of the night. Billy Crystal's proverbial 30 seconds in When Harry Met Sally stretches to hours if sleep calls. (I exaggerate a bit, and risk insulting some of my partner(s).)

In starting the thread, I was motivated by realizing that I actually had no bloody clue how sex and particularly orgasms felt to my partner(s) beyond very pleasant, and thus I would not be even halfway accurate attempting to write a sex scene from a male POV. I'd like to try.

Some on the thread share your view, or come close to it. Others less so. It has turned into a Rorschach test of sorts (everything on the forum ends up that way), though that wasn't my intent in posing the question. I'll happily reap the benefits, though.
