I have shaved myself on a number of occasions, but only had a girlfriend try it once. Basically it worked much better when I did it, but I think a girl can do it with practice.

The key thing to a close smooth shave is having the skin relatively taut when doing the shaving. I used the same razor as I do for my face, although I change the blades more often for the nether regions.

To do the shaft, I find it easiest to grab right below the head of my penis and pull it out and to the side. Shaving with an erection would work too, but it is easier to get the sides when the penis is parallel to the body rather than perpendicular. When the girl tried, she was a bit too timid to really grab hold and so my penis would slip out of her hand.

The scrotum is another area where taut is better. It is very important that the skin is quite warm (usually I do it toward the end of a shower, while still in the shower) since it will expand and be more flexible. Basically I pinch a section and use it to pull the skin in an area taut. Again, not being attached to the equipment the girl wasn't as good at this as I was.

Anyway, there are two aspects to shaving your partner. The first is the sexual element of the process itself. Touching the genitals and playing with them. The trust issue and the intimate nature are all part of it. The second part is being clean for actual sex, which he could probably accomplish better than you. So maybe you get him started and do most of the work, and watch him finish up to get baby soft for your next encounter.

I would go in that direction if this was regarding a real situation...however, speaking as a writer of erotic tales, shaving is FAR more erotic to write about than waxing. First, because it involves so many elements. The wetting of the skin, the cream, the razor, the pampering of the shaven skin afterwards. Second, because it can be done slowly--a quick rip just doesn't have the same teasing nature. Third, because it does involve some thrill of danger, the razor in another's hands, delving into vulnerable and intimate parts.

For an erotic story, a razor is very much the way to go. For real life, however, waxing might be far faster, easier, and more effective.

I've been shaving for a few years now. I simply shave in the shower with Dove soap and a Mach3. I may finish up with some conditioner and that is it. I find electric razor cut the skin and causes bleeding and burning. So that is a big no-no. I shave usually every 4 days. I'm a hairy person in general. I wouldn't have it any other way...shaven is the best.

I suggest do not use the same razor for your face. It dulls the blades quicker and I keep both razors separated. And don't use your wifes razor either guys, once she uses the razor, it really is harder to shave yourself. You will find yourself shaving over and over in the same place because the blades are not sharp enough and end up with razor burn.

She shaves smooth too...and it's nice for both of us during sexual play.

When either my girl or I do it we use a pair of scissors first then just my normal razor with a new blade. I only use scissors for scrotum. I just use the foam from hair shampoo if I bother in the shower -out of shower nothing.
I am always hard during the procedure as I enjoy it.
If I am doing it myself I do it in the shower but I really don't find the towel any better for finish or eroticism.
I have found that if I don't keep absolutelty bare then I am better off leaving it 1 cm long as my girl complains of too many pricks (meaning prickles -she is Chinese) (there is only one important one!)

I trim down the area around and shave balls and cock base. I just use a razor. If I've let it grow long, I'll first trim the sack carefully with an electric shaver first.

Shaving "Down There"

I have been shaving now for a while. It feels really good to be hairless, though there is a constant fight about stubble. I've waxed before as well, but it's hard to find someone that does it well. You need to shave every day. Initially, I cut myself quite often, especially when I was shaving my penis, but you learn to be careful.

Some reasons to shave:

1. It's glorious to feel a naked vulva against you when your shaven. I think you make more contact as well, or should I say the contact feels different. In any case, it's nice.

2. It's shocking. A hairless penis is a powerful statement. I am not sure what it says, but it's sometimes important just to appear.

3. I think it makes my penis look bigger and maybe I get a little more control. I'm not all that large and I like to be able to use everything I have. Also, you don't get pinched taking the condom off when your hairs are caught.

4. My scrotum feels so soft when it's hairless. My wife loves it.

5. She finds giving oral sex more enjoyable when there is no hair.


Some reasons not to shave:

1. You can cut yourself.

2. It's a daily grind. Really. The last thing you want is stub on your dick or scrotum.

3. If you are self-conscious about being naked, it's not a good idea. You will attract a lot of attention. You can solve this by being naked a lot. I do this by sunbathing naked in my backyard, walking around the house naked most of the time, going to nudist beaches (it's awesome to swim in the ocean nude), and hitting the Freitzeitparks in Europe. What you learn is that everybody's body is different and there is no reason to be self-conscious about yours.
