I caught Alvin Lee, twice, at the Fillmore in San Francisco. If memory serves, this was in '68? Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll have taken a toll, I suppose. I remember him being referred to as Alvin "Guitar" Lee, and he absolutely blew me away. I felt bad when he passed, earlier this year. I still listen to his "flashin' fingers".

I thought his performance at Woodstock was great. Better than Hendrix. Hendrix was a great guitarist, but to drugged up when he played live.

Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang are touring right now.

I was able to go to a show prior to Thanksgiving. Unfortunately we arrived late and missed Jonny Lang's performance. Buddy Guy was great though. You could smell the funk!!

Phil Everly died today. The younger generation may not know him, but along with his brother Don, he was a major part of the music scene in the 50's.
