Monster Porn article

*Sigh*

I remember I had this girl with the tattoo of a moth as the MC on a Cyberpunk novel it fizzled out after Chapter 8 or 9 because I had too many doubts. That was... almost ten years ago, and not only I still have the manuscript backed up several times, not only the plot is also erotic in some way, not only it is one of the seedlings that started my whole pulp fiction obsession, and not only it takes place in the C part of the UCSF country I just revealed in No Heroes in Love (which honestly are the same letters I used for back then, except it was a Coalition instead of a Federation) since that world served as the seed of my AU, but I also sketched the cover...

She was topless, showing off both her cybernetics and the tattoo.

Fuck you Kitty of the past for not finishing that work so this thread is now a reminder of it!

And fuck my computer for breaking because I can't access that backup anymore!

This moth talk is making me want to finish her story 😢

Bad time to point out that one of the big romantasy titles right now is Rachel Gillig's The Knight and the Moth?

There is a moth gf meme somewhere... I don't have it with me, but I've seen it.

I feel this is the novelization of that.

E: *Five seconds and a ducking search later* Oh... There's... a lot of things that aren't memes, but not only I found the meme, but also didn't think of a moth girl to be so damn cute!

Mothman VS Bug Zapper.

Coming this summer to a patio near you!

There was this time I saw a cam girl get scared about something mid stream, scream, vanish, and come back with bug spray. Later I checked her Telegram to see it was a spider who decided to join her stream.

Just remember: spider girls, like tentacle monsters, can also perform bondage...

I know, right?! I have a moth girl in my list of anthros (something like 75 species, each with their own paragaph), and I'm just saying: proboscis 👅

There's one I would read

I might largely be on my own here, but I just don't get the appeal of monster/alien porn stories where the monster/alien is not an anatomically correct humanoid and why these stories are so popular.

I've written stories about monsters, ghosts and UFOs such as a story about Bigfoot where they kidnap a pretty college girl who is attending a music festival in the early 1970s, and her cousin has to rescue her. In a ghost story I wrote a young woman accidentally falls asleep in front of the TV, wakes up in the middle of the night after transmissions have ceased for the evening (its set in the 1960s) and a ghost comes out of the TV through the static snow. In a Halloween story set in the late 1950s, a group of three cheerleaders and their jock boyfriends are abducted by aliens after a dance and taken aboard their UFO.

However in my Bigfoot story these ferocious ape-like monsters are the antagonists of the tale, and their motivation for kidnapping the girl is to keep her as a slave in their lair deep in the New England forests. They have no sexual motivations for doing so, and the erotica happens later when her cousin rescues her. In the story where the ghost comes through the TV he forms immediately into a great-looking guy, and he and the girl end up having great sex. The aliens in my Halloween story (who I only realized later resemble the Yip Yips from Sesame Street) are unfriendly creatures who abduct people to feed to their larvae back on the Jovian moon Europa where they live, and they only abduct the teenagers to watch them having sex as part of their research, the aliens having no concept of having sex for pleasure nor indeed fun in general. The erotic part of this story is obviously the six good-looking all-American teens (all aged 18) having sex with their respective partners inside the UFO. There is nothing sexy about the aliens themselves, and the story centres around the events prior to, during and after the alien abductions for the main characters.

I think there is much appeal of aliens in human form having sex with real humans. For example, if there was a story in the Geek Pride contest set in the late 1980s about a handsome young guy who is new to the Midwestern town where it is set who goes around seducing and having sex with a variety of different young women who can't resist his charms and he turns out to be an alien doing research, I would want to read such a story. I would also like to read a 1990s set story where a group of 18-year-old geeks encounter a UFO landing where an alien forms into a stunningly attractive 18-year-old girl, whom they have to try and pass off as an Australian exchange student. Amusement abounds as she struggles with learning about Earth culture and how humans function, for example using outdated slang such as 'swell' and other mishaps and misunderstandings.

But stories about humans having sex with entities and creatures that don't even come close to other humans? Um, no thank you.

Totally valid, it's not for everyone. There are lots of reasons why people like them, it runs the gamut. Everyone has their proclivities and kinks, and it's what makes the human brain so fascinating, why somebody would like something that other people find weird or repulsive.

There is a lot of beauty in non-human forms (obviously, I would think that 😁). The appeal of a partner with such different anatomy and textures and abilities than a human is precisely because they aren't the same form I encounter all the time. I broke down why I came to find this so appealing a few years ago, a lot of introspective and analysis, and it explains a lot about me and why I'm in this space. But other people have different paths, so there's no one answer to, "Why would anyone like this?"

As with a lot of kinks and proclivities, it's difficult to imagine how someone could possibly like something we find strange or repulsive. It's a common attitude toward people who tend to be into more niche things: watersports (these jetski weirdos, man), feet, BDSM, and yes, monster fucking stories. It's perfectly normal, the brain struggles with understanding the sexual appeal of something it derives no sexual pleasure from, or is actively repulsed by. You can try to put yourself in the headspace all you want, but at the end of the day, you can either figure out an academic reason for why someone likes it, or you can't find one at all. Sexual natures are an enormously difficult empathy gap to cross. Nothing wrong with that, it's just the brain. It's a wacky chunk of meat.
