Morality of Writing Fan Fiction Based on Literotica Stories

You keep mentioning copyright law, even though it’s already been made clear that it can’t be enforced here and thus has no relevance.
Bullshit. Whilst it's unlikely that the copyright holder(s) would bring an action it could, if successful, be enforced.

Let’s focus on morality, as the OP intended.
Why? We have already established that most people here consider it immoral without the author's permission. The OP has accepted that and says he won't post the story if he ever finishes it.

I am on the other side of the fence regarding the morality of the act. I won't publish anything because the site doesn't permit it.

Was that what you were looking for when you asked the question in the first place?

Sounds like you had the morality part figured out all along.

He seems like a nice guy and a decent author who balked at the fuss you made. He also took a step back once he saw the owner's clear statement, which, after all, is obligated to follow the law.

But I don’t think he’s aware that, in practice, no sequel that began with the note, “I’ve been trying to get this and that for months, but they’ve been unreachable and inactive for years, so here’s a link to their blah blah blah...” has ever been rejected.

So, I assume I’m not the only one who thinks stories should always come first, and that the grandiose delusions of narcissists should be confined to this forum.

If someone asks a question on this forum, they're going to get this forum's opinions. Delusional or not, that's what they asked for.

Most of the opinions are also those of creative people who've published stories, and are actually stakeholders in the issue.

You want anyone here to take your opinion seriously? Publish a story and see it be stolen by someone else, then come back and tell us how you feel. Explain how you were happy that someone was ensuring your spot in history.

It's kind of like Sauron. He can't assume his original visible form anymore, but the same malignant spirit remains, gnawing at old grievances and doing whatever mischief it can. Orcs suddenly reappear when he emerges from hiding.
"Somehow, Tilan returned."

I’ve explained countless times, and in great detail, why a sequel is not your story. But since, as expected, you’re unable to comprehend, I’m left with no choice but to send you to a cozy little place where you can enjoy the company of others like you and chant together: “It’s mine! Mine! Mine!”

Now, now, play nice, or a block we shall go.

You act as if we're required to agree with you. Has it occurred to you that YOU may be the one that is on the wrong side of this?

When it comes to doing justice to a lost story and resurrecting it from oblivion, there is only one side. You care only about yourself and your rights, while I care only about the stories; at least the worthy ones. I know I’m not alone in this; others are simply wiser, knowing better than to argue in vain.

We're not talking about the sequel, but the original. The ideas that birthed it, the considerations that shaped it, the effort that produced it. Every concept that makes up the world of the original - the whole reason why someone would want to write a sequel in the first place - that's all the original writer's property.

But either you're deliberately forcing an argument over something you have no understanding of, or it's you who are unable to comprehend.

At the time I asked this question I believed, based on the research I had done, that my proposed course of action was permitted by site rules. When I found out that it was not permitted by site rules I tabled the question; there's no point, to my mind, in discussing an abstract hypothetical that boils down to personal opinion. Continued discussion would simply spiral into argument.

I had my opinion before I waded in and it hasn't really changed in the face of the cogent arguments put forth by those with opposing opinions (who, by my count, comprise the majority). I still believe that if I wrote a respectful fan-fiction sequel the author would not be unduly disturbed, that I've done my best to try to contact them, that they have published their story on a free-to-view website and my contribution would also be published on the same site and make no money for me, and wasted breath.

I have been asked by three or four individuals if they can 'use my world' of judicial slavery and even incorporate some of my characters into their stories. I have no problem with that as long as they stay true to the characters. One is writing his story now and I have not seen any of it. Another, Currentparameter has a multi-chapter story that uses the same principles but with different characters. He has his story.
We often talk. He gets an advance read on my chapters and comments. Sometimes he asks "where would such and such fit in?" and I'd tell him my opinion and why. Crossover stories are difficult. The challenge is to maintain the story's integrity. He might ask, 'how do think this issue would fit' and I'd tell him my opinion and why.
Many of you probably would say, 'the Hell with that!" I'll write what I want and screw it if you don;t like it. Fine.
But when I started with Slave Camp, I wanted to create society that might actually be feasible IF you could get past the idea of judicial slavery replacing the prison system. The whole idea is society would have to accept the idea and then make it work so there are some semblance of a lawful society behind the story.

Awesome to hear about writers forming community with each other. Love that shit.

I wasn't, but it doesn't matter. Remember that "nearly autistic compulsion to follow the rules"? I meant that. If the site chooses to amend their rules I'd be okay with putting in the time to try and write a really respectful piece of fan-fiction. But I won't operate on the assumption that 'I can get away with it' because the site operators are over-worked. Won't.

You act as if we're required to agree with you. Has it occurred to you that YOU may be the one that is on the wrong side of this?
I think that the assumption that there is actually a wrong side in this case is a faulty one. At least out of the "sides" that have been presented here. Both have merit and I haven't seen anyone disprove either of them.

And yet you're fine with the law that allows taking ALL OF IT simply by changing the fucking names!

I believe what has been suggested was creating new characters, situations, and a new plot and writing their own story. But I can see how you'd take that as just changing names.
