Morning Coffee And Sweet Surprises (Closed to Poprockz)

Sabastian was a bit surprised to find himself pulled against Vin, the man’s large arm wrapped around him. Not expecting such a gesture, he was a bit off-balance and had to put his hand on the man’s thigh for support. His body was warm and comforting, and Sabastian couldn’t find it in himself to bristle and push him away. The man smelled so goddamn good, it was almost criminal. He let himself relax against his side, leaning his head against his shoulder.

“It’s fine. I’m over it.” He mumbled, his brow furrowing.

——-

Meanwhile, Damien also jumped when she jumped, her reaction being unexpected. When she calmed down and started giggling, he smiled and advanced. Walking up to her, he reached out and rested his hands on her hips.

“What’s a beautiful woman like you doing scantily-dressed in the middle of the woods? Going to grandmother’s cottage?” He chuckled, grinning at her. She looked radiant this morning, and though he still felt guilty about the night before, she seemed to have a way of putting him at ease.

For the moment, Delvin didn't have any urge to make a move on the man. He was still immensely turned on by him, but after just hearing what he had went through, he felt only a deep sadness and anger for the man.

"It's really not; you don't just get over something like that."

His voice wasn't quite a growl, but it wasn't light and cheery either. As Sabastian rests against him, he simply sits with him and allows the little man to use him as his rock, knowing that sometimes all another person needed was just a moment of peace.

Cora smiled warmly as he came to her, relieved that his good humour was back. She didn't know what happened between him and Vin last night, but she could take a guess, and she was immensely proud of him for stepping up and apologising for whatever he had said. It also helped to put her mind at ease that he wouldn't act possessive with her.

Her hands travel up his arms until she's resting them on his shoulders, and she looks deep into his steel eyes, loving the way the shadows of the forest made them look even darker then normal. Instead of answering him right away, she leans up her feet and gives him a slow kiss.

"Mm," she says as she lets herself come back down to earth.

"And what if I was? Are you going to stop me mister big bad wolf?"

“Whatever... believe what you want.” He stubbornly replied, though his voice was a bit softer. Sabastian was struggling not to cry, tears forming in his eyes as he scowled. Turning his face, he rubbed his eye against the other man’s shoulder and then simply let his face press against it. His scent was overwhelming, but he needed something to focus on. The hand not currently on the man’s thigh went to his back, softly gripping a handful of his shirt as he sat with him.

Damien kissed her back with tenderness, grateful to simply have her love that morning. When she pulled away, he gave her a little smile, his steely eyes playful.

“Hmm... maybe so.” He started slowly unbuttoning his shirt as he kept eye contact with her. “At the very least, I would want to... show you my snake.” At that moment, he opened his shirt and Bowie looked up at her, his little tongue flicking out as though he was happy to see her.” Damien grinned as though he had made the absolute best joke he had ever made.

The snake was still wrapped around his chest the way he had been earlier. When he went off into the woods to relieve himself, he almost forgot Bowie was there until he felt him move a bit at one point. Since then, he had just continued to walk around with the little guy hidden in his shirt.

Vin could tell the man needed comfort despite his grouchy reply, and as he feels his hand move to his back, he lets his own hand come down off his shoulder and wrap around his small frame in a proper hug, pulling him a little closer. He lets his other hand go up to Sabastians head and he gives him a few slow pets. He doesn't say a word, letting his actions speak for him.

Cora bit her lip as his hands traveled to his shirt, hoping she was going to have the opportunity to slide her fingers across that smooth chest. But when he pulled the fabric open and revealed Bowie to her, her lips twisted and she let loose with a loud laugh. She turns away from him as if the sight is just too much, and her hands go to holding her sides.

Back at the fire, Delvin turns his head a little in surprise, hearing Cora laugh so loudly. It brought a small smile to his own lips, and as he turns back to Sabastian, he gives the mans back a soft rub with his hand.

"Here," he says as he reaches out uses the end of the blanket to grab the skillet, moving it away from the fire a little more.

"You should eat. You're probably going to have to drive next, me and Damien didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night."

Recalling what had happened last night makes him take pause, as he was midway bent over and reaching for a fork. He finishes grabbing one and hands it to Sabastian.

"Sabastian, I wanted to ask you. You seem to know Damien as you worked with him right? Is he safe to be around?"

He doesn't try to sugar coat it as he looks down at that beautiful blue eye. He didn't know how much longer Damien would be out there in the woods with Cora, but more than that, he was worried for the two of them. He was still sitting on the fence with how he felt about the guy.

The grouchy little man let the larger one pull him close, glad for a bit of physical comfort despite his own prickly exterior. For a moment he allowed himself to snuggle up against the man’s chest, the man feeling so warm in the chilly morning air. He hadn’t ever been pet on the head like that, and normally he might have batted his hand away in annoyance, but it felt exceedingly right against his soft hair.

When he heard the laugh, he jumped in the man’s arms. Looking away with rosy cheeks and checking to see whether it was directed at them. Since it wasn’t, he relaxed and turned back to Vin.

Damien laughed and let his shirt drop to rest open, the snake stretching its neck as though he wanted to say hello to his owner. “What’s the matter, Cora? Do you think my snake is too small? It’s okay. I’m more of a grower than a shower anyway.”

Sabastian raised his eyebrow to the man’s comment about being up late with Damien. Sabastian thought he has smelled a bit of their blood when he woke up, but hadn’t been sure. “I bet. Trading sleep shifts and all...” he reached out and took the man’s hand he had used to punch with, the blonde’s dainty finger very gently tracing around the man’s freshly cut-up knuckles. His eye flicked back up to Vin’s dark ones before releasing the hand.

Sabastian thought for a moment. “Hm. That’s debatable. Honestly, his mom was a manipulative cunt, and his dad was just fucking scary, like the kind of person that pulls wings and legs off insects for the fuck of it. So that probably has something to do with it. Some people suspected they weren’t treating him right, but he never had any physical marks on his body, so no one really knew whether it was true or not. They were rich, too, so it’s not like anyone really felt like they could question it or that he could be treated all that badly.”

He hesitated and then continued, “I think that some fucked-up shit was going on, personally. About him specifically, he seemed troubled but fairly normal until he was about nine, then he started spending all his time in his room, and didn’t make any efforts to go to school functions. I think that was around the time Toby went missing. In any case, since then I think things just got worse for him through the years until his dad died and his mom ended up in a coma. I mean, a lot of people think he was responsible, and I can’t help but believe he did it too. Although, he doesn’t usually seem violent, just... closed off and a bit controlling at times.”

He shrugged, absentmindedly spearing a mushroom with his fork and almost being distracted enough to put it in his mouth. However, he realized at the last moment and made a disgusted face. Sabastian was about to flick it off his fork when he looked at Vin and held the fork out, offering the bite-sized morsel to him. It was only after he extended his hand that it almost seemed like he was offering something vaguely phallic.

Cora was holding her sides as Damien continued to make it worse, and as he took a step toward her, she half screamed, half giggled, and ran away a few feet to hide behind a tree.

"You keep you snake to yourself Damien!"

After she had a second to catch her breath, she stepped out and fetched her dress, pulling it over her slender frame. She then came over and outstretched her hands, letting Bowie climb up on her as she tried hard to suppress her laughter.

"Come here handsome boy, let me save you from his corny jokes."

Vin was listening and taking in everything Sabastian said, but most of his attention was diverted to how he was touching him. His hungry brown eyes took in every little movement, from that feather light touch as he held his hand up, to the way his face shifted as he recounted his years with Damien. It surprised him a little that he had spent so much time in the same household with the guy, yet didn't seem to know much about him.

He didn't hesitate to take the mushroom, wrapping his big calloused hand over Sabastians as he held the fork still for himself, then chewing slowly as he let it go. He was loving that Sabastian was sitting with him so comfortably, almost innocently in a way, as if he didn't think much of the close contact.

"Thank you" he says after he swallows, giving the little man another toothy grin and trying to hold his gaze. As interesting as his recounting was, it was sad and damn near horrifying to think that the guy had to live that way for so long; and Vin didn't want to feel sad right at that moment. At that moment, he wanted to try to bridge that gap between himself and Sabastian, and finally see if the little grouchy man with the cutest fucking eye patch he had ever seen was at all interested in him.

His big hand comes up to tuck a bit of blond hair behind his ear. A very obviously intimate touch, but not something so daring as a straight out kiss. If Vin had been reading the mood wrong, then he was pretty sure Sabastian would push him away, or awkwardly let him know he wasn't into guys. However, if he hadn't, then his little gamble might pay off.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're very handsome?"

His smile was a little softer now, as he gave just a little more for good measure. The little man did seem quite oblivious, and Vin really wanted to drive his intentions home.

"I bet he'd love my jokes a bit more if he was a corn-snake." Damien paused and shook his head. "Damn, that one was pretty terrible. Two out of three ain't bad, though." He grinned and moved near Cora again, pressing his body against her back and letting his hands loosely rest at her waist. Leaning his head down, he kissed her shoulder affectionately.

He only twitched as the rough hand came upon his own, the roughness of it feeling almost erotic in a way. Sabastian's eye watched intently as the man ate the mushroom, wondering if his lips would look the same enveloping his cock. Speaking of, he could feel himself getting hard by watching his lips move and feeling the close proximity of the man's body. It was all Vin's fault that these perverted thoughts were swirling around his mind- the man was just too damn rugged and charming for his own good.

When the man reached out and tucked a bit of his blonde hair back, the man was tempted to lean his face against the hand to make it caress his cheek. His smile was so kind, and yet there was a sexiness that lurked in it too, as though the man was plotting to eat Sabastian up for breakfast. He almost didn't quite process what the man had said when he spoke.

He blinked. "What?" There was about a three second lag before his eye widened a bit and his cheeks flushed a deep red. "I-I well yes, but not- I mean I don't-" Sabastian was becoming more flustered by the second, shocked that the other man might be attracted to him. His cock was now straining against his pants and his heart was beating very quickly. Was Vin trying to hit on him? Was he gay? Or was he just fucking with him because Sabastian looked more feminine?

At one point in time, Sabastian had been the object of a practical joke to out him at school, and it left him with a bit of distrust. He drew back and scrambled to his feet, taking a moment before he realized Vin could probably see he was aroused. He tried to hide the bulge in his pants as he left without making it obvious. It was really difficult to do, especially since he had to pretend to have his hands almost nonchalantly over his crotch as he scuttled away. He haughtily called over his shoulder, "being hot doesn't give you the right to fuck with people, jackass."

Cora rolled her eyes at the cornsnake joke as she moved Bowie around from hand to hand, letting him get a bit of exercise. As he came to stand beside her and kiss her shoulder, she turned her face up a bit and gave him an affectionate kiss on the cheek.

"Mm...we should probably get back before Mr.Bloodhound sniffs us out and starts baying."

Delvin was trying so hard not to laugh at the little man, and not to simply reach down and crush his lips against his in a hungry kiss. He saw the way his face seemed to lean, ever so slightly, towards his hand as he stroked his baby soft hair back. And then the way his cheeks burned when he realized what he had said, mm, he really could have ate him up in that moment.

He was a bit sad when he suddenly gets up to move away, but he didn't miss him trying to cover his erection. It made a cocky smile come to his face as he picked up the fork and speared some food.

"Oh I would love to fuck with you if you would let me."

He chewed his food with a big smile, his posture completely relaxed, like he didn't have a care in the world on those big hunched over shoulders. When he was done and reaching out for another forkful, he let his brown eyes roam up Sabastians body until they were holding that blue eye captive again.

"Thanks for the compliment, I think you're pretty hot yourself."

He brought the food to his mouth and chewed. He wasn't going to let Sabastian just run away, unless he physically ran away of course. But now he knew that the little man had feelings for him, even if it was only sexual, and his interest was even more heightened than before. He could wait, stalk his prey slowly, but he wanted desperately to feel the little blond pinned under his chest and squirming with need.

Damien chuckled, enjoying her soft lips on his cheek as he watched her hands move. Bowie looked eager to move around a bit more, and he thought to himself that it was a pity he had to be in the carrier a lot of the time.

"Yeah, I agree. Either that or he'll find the booze I put in the car. Either way, it'll be trouble." He grinned and let go of her partly, keeping an arm holding her around her waist as he walked with her back to camp.

Sabastian froze in his tracks, his back toward Vin as he had tried to make his escape. He had planned on having the last word, so he didn't expect to hear the man's voice actually answer him. Even less did he expect for him to imply the things he was implying by saying he would love to fuck with him.

He looked back at Vin over his shoulder with a grumpy scowl, "That's not what I-" His words faltered as those deep brown eyes traveled from his feet to his eye. It gave him goosebumps and sent a shiver down his spine, his cock feeling like it was being suffocated in his pants. Damn, how was he supposed to deal with a situation like this? His hands went to hug his arms as he stood there looking over his shoulder, his boyish face still bright red.

The next comment made even his nipples harden, the sexual tension palpable to him as he tried to summon the will to move from that spot. "Sh-shut up!" Was all he could muster up in his flustered state, stomping off toward the woods and quickly disappearing beyond the tree-line. He hadn't relieved himself yet, and now he had a bigger, harder problem to take care of.

"Oh no, you kept the booze?" she laughed, continuing to play with Bowie as they walked.

"I hope you hid it well, cause now we have two problem children to watch out for."

She leaned into his side as they walked, not taking long at all to get back to camp. As they came up on the campfire, she could see Vin already eating and she doesn't waste any time herself grabbing a fork. It already smelled so good, and she knew how good Damien was at cooking-her stomach already growling at the memory of the scrambled eggs and potatoes from the morning before. She wraps Bowie around her waist for a moment as she reaches over to grab a bite, but as she is doing so, she notices that Vin is looking out at the tree line with a very smug smile on his lips. Recognizing that smile, as it was one that Damien liked to give her often, she stands up and squints her eyes at him.

She chews her food slowly with one hand on her hips, her gaze going between the forest and his own, then back to the forest.

"Delvin.." she says with a slight warning in her tone, almost like a mother about to scold her child for snatching a cookie.

"Hmm?" he peels his eyes away from the forest to look up at her.

"You wouldn't have happened to embarrassed our angry little companion, would you?"

Vin shrugs and grabs another bite of food.

"Don't know what you could be talkin about."

Cora's eyes narrow at him, but she also smiles mischievously.

"Oh I see."

Not another word is exchanged between the two, as Cora simply gets a large bit of food on her fork and brings it over to Damien, cupping her hand under it so she doesn't spill any. She offers it up to him, but doesn't force it on him.

"You really need to teach me how to cook like this. I swear, I thought my taste buds were just broken my whole life."

"I hope I hid it in a good enough spot, but I bet with that nose of his, he'll find it eventually." As they come into camp, Damien feels his stomach rumble and he decides that eating some grub is definitely in order. He noticed Vin looking off toward the tree-line but doesn't think much of it before Cora says something. When she does, he looks more closely, seeing that smug little smile on his face and wondering what that was about.

His eyebrow raised at Cora in question, hoping that she would clue him in to what they were talking about. However, the more important item was the forkful of food coming his way, so he didn't ask anything out loud yet. Chewing, he smiled proudly at her compliment, liking that he could at least provide her with delicious things to eat in these dark times.

"Nope, not your tastebuds. It's just that seasoning takes such a larger roll in bringing out flavors than people really think." He picked up a slice of fried spam and wiggled it at her before offering it to the woman.

After about ten minutes, Sabastian came stomping back into view. His cock was no longer hard in his pants, having rubbed one out in the woods while thinking about Vin slipping his hand into Sabastian's pants as what he said played over and over in his brain. He wouldn't meet the man's eyes, instead going back to his blanket and taking his own fork, and spearing a bite. The blonde chewed and then reached for his can of coffee, not yet saying anything.

Cora gave him a small smile but didn't seem as if she was willing to spill the beans, instead just playfully leaning forward and taking a big bite out of the spam he was wiggling at her. Perhaps later when they had a bit of privacy she might be willing to say. Or perhaps not. She kind of liked being the one in the know.

Having had already ate his share, Vin had taken Bowie from Cora and was playing with the snake, giving him some exercise as she had asked. He was still pretty turned on from the site of Sabastians cheeks turning redder than a rose, but he had a good bit of self control and didn't need to do anything about it. He spent the next ten minutes watching Bowie slide over his hands and arms as he let their conversation sink in, and once in a while he would sneak a casual glance in at Damien.

Now that he had heard more of his story, he actually felt really bad for the guy. If even half of what Sabastian had said was true, then he was really amazed the guy was put together at all and not slinging drugs in some back alley. Thinking back on his apology the night prior, it seemed as if the man had a strong will and was struggling not to become something that he likely hated, and Delvin had to give him props for that. It also made him wonder, perhaps Cora had saw through that little tuff guy act he had put on. Damien certainly did seem to be much more soft with the women and more relaxed in her presence.

Seeing Sabastian come back, he didn't bother the man again, just giving him a polite smile and holding Bowie up a bit higher as if to say 'look at how cool this snake is'. He got the feeling that Sabastian wouldn't appreciate being embarrassed in front of the other two.

"There you are," Cora said.

"I thought I was going to have to feed your share to Bowie."

She did actually seem to be feeding the snake too, getting a nice chunk of egg on the handle end of her fork and then reaching over and offering it to the snake. Bowie's little head goes back in a bit of a striking stance, but then he slowly leans forward and bites the egg, his jaws opening wide to engulf the fine meal and then half chewing, half swallowing it all down. Once he has it down, his head reaches out for more, making Cora smile and offer him another bite.

Damien enjoyed the sight of Cora taking a bite of the spam, and resolved to ask her about things later. It seemed like there was something going on that he wasn’t privy to, but it didn’t seem like anything too serious.

Sabastian had braced himself for the worst, thinking that Vin might say something blatantly flirty in front of them, but was relieved that Vin was restraining himself from coming on strong in front of the other two. His shoulders relaxed a bit and he started eating, trying not to look at Vin even though he really wanted to check and see if the man was watching him eat. He felt self-conscious of every move he made, wondering if the man was really serious about his interest in him.

“Bowie wouldn’t do such a mean thing to me, but if he did, he’s too cute for me to get mad at for too long.” Sabastian gave Cora a little smile as he watched Bowie take a bite full of egg. He took a large bite of egg himself.

It occurred to him that Margaret had probably kissed Damien or Cora without infecting them, so he was probably safe to kiss other people, but he still wasn’t sure if his semen was infectious. God, he felt like such a pervert wondering to himself if Vin would be safe if he put those smug lips on Sabastian till he popped. Margaret has laid eggs from his seed, but he wasn’t sure if any cum would do, or if his was special. There were too many unknowns in this, and he still didn’t know if sex might trigger his tentacles or cause him to lose more of himself to the infection. For Vin’s safety, he would have to keep things light. That is, IF he decided to do anything with the man, and if the man was actually sincere. He had an ex-wife, so Sabastian had assumed he was straight, but maybe he was bi.

Damien looked up and pointed his fork at Sabastian. “Okay, so I think Sabastian should take the next driving shift. Since there isn’t a whole lot of room in the back, I think Cora and I should be in the back with Delvin in the front. Sound good to everyone?” He moved his fork to wave between Cora and Vin.

Sabastian glanced at Damien, then Vin before looking away and shrugging his shoulders. “Whatever. I don’t mind driving.”

"Sounds good with me" Vin said, moving Bowie to his shoulders so he could crack his knuckles.

"I noticed the AC is pretty modern, does it have a separate temp control in the back? I wouldn't mind making it a little more heated in the front without bothering you two."

He was half telling the truth, but he couldn't help the small smile as he watched Cora turn her face away to look at Damien, possibly hiding her own smile from Sabastian. And indeed she was, pretending to bend over to reach for something behind his back when in reality she was trying to press her face up against his skin before she let loose with a giggle.

Suddenly she stands up and stretches, then takes Bowie from him. She let's Bowie crawl around her arms until she has him in a bit of a ball, then she walks over to the car and loads him up into his carrier. She wasn't too worried about leaving him in the car just yet, as the heat hadn't warmed it up yet. She then starts busying herself with the supplies and the seat, knowing she was likely going to be sitting on Damiens lap for the rest of the ride, or whenever they stopped to trade off.

The way he cracked his knuckles was kind of hot, Sabastian couldn’t help thinking. Speaking of, they should really clean up his hand so that it didn’t get infected or something.

Sabastian narrowed his eyes at Vin before looking at Cora, unable to discern whether he was asking because of Sabastian’s proclivity toward warmth, or if the man was trying to make an innuendo at him. Cora ducked away just before he could make eye contact or see her face, so he wasn’t getting any help there. Although, come to. Think of it, he had looked directly at Cora when he said it. Were they in cahoots? It didn’t seem like he could have said anything about what just happened since Damien still seemed clueless, so maybe he was just being paranoid.

Damien shrugged, “well yes, it actually does have one of those systems, so have at it. It gets hot really quickly up there though, so be prepared. It even has those nifty seat-warmers.” He glanced at Cora, wondering what she was doing pressed against him like that, though he wasn’t complaining.

The blonde man looked at Vin and grumbled, “you don’t have to keep it warm for me, I can grab a blanket or something since I know you run hot.” Not a second went by before he realized how that might have sounded and blurted out, “warm! You’re very warm. Like temperature-wise.”

Vin popped open a can of coffee, having grabbed one while Sabastian was busy, and took a slow drink while he listened, trying to think of how he wanted to answer. He didn't want to push it too far and make the man uncomfortable, but at the same time, he was having a really good time watching his cheeks light up. Especially when he commented on the man's body heat, blushing even harder when he realized how it could have been taken the wrong way.

Deciding to lay off for a bit and give the man some time to recover, he just shrugs his shoulders and finishes his coffee before answering.

"Well let's just start off with it off and see how hot it gets."

He didn't want to load up in the car and make the man feel rushed to eat, so he looked around for something to do while he finished his coffee, settling in putting the fire out and folding the borrowed sleeping bag up.

Sabastian nodded, his shoulders relaxing slightly since Vin hadn't pushed to tease too much further. He speared some of the scrambled eggs and tried to eat quickly without pushing himself.

Damien took a cue from Cora and Vin that he should help out. He rolled up the large sleeping bag he and Cora had been sharing and took it back to the car. There wasn't really much to do besides that since Vin was putting the fire out, so he decided on simply going over to the trunk and rummaging around. Once he found what he was looking for, he went over to Cora and showed her what he had in his hand: it was a small tub of frosting he had thrown into Sabastian's bag at the gas station.

"If you get the urge to taste something sweet, we can have a little bit at some point. Although, if you open it and eat it in the car, I reserve the right to spread it and lick it off the back of your neck... Unless you would prefer it somewhere else in a more private setting." He winked and leaned against the car with one arm.

When Sabastian was done, he gulped down the rest of his coffee and sighed with a smile, a little pile of mushrooms in the pan. He got up and rolled up his own sleeping bag, sitting on top of it and waiting for the pan to cool enough for him to dump out the mushrooms and take it to the car. His eye went to Vin for a second, and then the man's hand. "You should really take care of your knuckles. The last thing you want is for it to get an infection. I couldn't really tell, but it looked like there were splinters in there too." He shrugged and tried to look like he didn't care, "just saying."

The truth was that he could smell the blood and the bark mixed in. It didn't smell rotten like an infection, but it had to sting a bit and probably would heal more quickly if the man took care of himself.

Cora stopped what she was doing, which wasn't much besides laying her phone and earbuds out, and the sleeping bag they had been using, and she looked at what he had brought her. Her eyes met his and a sweet little smile touches her lips. Even though he was mostly using it to teaze her with a good time, she was actually quite touched. Unbeknownst to Damien, Cora had been fighting off a bad mood. It had been a constant struggle to not think of her brother and it seemed like every little quiet moment she had where she wasn't either very busy, or distracted with talking to the others, a memory would work it's way into her brain and the crushing pain would start to set in again.

"Thank you..." she says softly. She didn't want him to worry about her, but she was having a real hard time trying to hide it. She swallows to try and clear her throat, and then she tries to give him a more playful grin.

"We should save it for later."

She starts to turn back to the car but then she stops and turns around. Her arms go around him and she lays her head on his chest and hugs him tightly.

Vin looked down at Sabastian as he mentioned taking care of the cut on his hand, and he looked down as if he hadn't seen them until then. When he looks back up, he gives Sabastian a little smile and shrug.

"Ah, it'll be fine. I don't have the finesse to get them out, so my hands will just have to work them out for me."

He had thought about using his pocket knife, but it seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth.

He was pleased that his little offering had made her smile; in such a dark time, smiles were priceless, especially on the woman he loved. Damien returned her smile with a loving smile of his own, though his eyes were a bit concerned for a moment. She looked like she was struggling with something. The way her eyes looked away as though her mind was elsewhere for seconds at a time, the hard swallow she had done. He didn't know whether he was just imagining it, doubting himself as she grinned at him before turning away.

"No need to thank me. I'll be looking forward-" He suddenly found her pushed against him, her face seeking comfort from his chest and her arms around him as though clinging to him for comfort. Damien wrapped his arms around her tightly, rocking her slightly back and forth as he pressed his lips to the top of her head. He didn't say anything and he didn't know what was wrong; all he really knew was that she was hurting and needed his support.

Sabastian frowned, "Oh, look at you "Mr. I punch trees for fun." Sit down, and give me your hand and I'll pick them out for you. I may only have one eye I can use, but it's sharp and my fingers will be able to pick them out."

He extended his hand expectantly, as though he was adamant in his command of the larger man. He didn't like the fact that Vin was just content to let his hand stay in that state. His blue eye stared straight into Vin's stubbornly, clearly not willing to accept no for an answer.

Her body shakes a little bit as she lets loose with a small sob and for a few seconds she squeezes a little harder. Then her grip loosens and she shakes her head a little.

"Mm, nn-mm. Right now's not the time to be crying."

She takes a small step back and wipes her face with her arm, then takes a deep breath and shakes her hands out at her sides, like she's trying to shake off water.

"Sorry" she whispers. She really didn't want Sabastian and Vin to see her like that.

"It just seems like everytime I'm not busy, my fucking brain wants to keep reminding me that Quints gone."

She brings her hands up to her head and squeezes her hair between her fingers, letting out a frustrated sigh. She had never struggled so hard in her life to push feelings like this down. She didn't know if it meant she was getting weaker or stronger, but either way she really didn't like it. She wanted so badly to just push it all down and not think about any of it until they were somewhere safe and she could cry in peace.

Delvin was a bit shocked by Sabastians demand. It was irritating him though, and it would be nice to get them out. With a little chuckle, he puts both his hands up in the air.

"Alright alright, I surrender."

Putting his hands down, he strolled over to him and gave him his freshly battered knuckles.

"It's really not that bad, but I'm not going to complain if you want to hold my hand."

His grin was all teeth and cocky arrogance, probably quite used to leaving his wounds to heal on their own and having nothing bad come of it. He hadn't even tried to treat the bite he had received on his hip, short of pouring some brandy on it. Once he had been bitten, he had figured that was that and only time would tell.

After listening and watching her with his steely eyes, Damien reached out and pulled Cora back against himself, pushing her gently against the car. One of his hands cradled her head and pulled her face against him.

"I'm not sure there ever really is a right time to cry. All I know is that when you're in my arms, you can cry however much you like, and I'll simply be here for you without judgement. I've never lost someone like that, so I can't say I know how you feel, but I'm here. I love you and while I don't like seeing you in pain, I want to be the one you come to when you need someone to hold you through the more painful memories." His arms squeezed her slightly tighter, his head resting on hers.

Sabastian felt the heat in his cheeks but didn't shy away from the man's hand. If Vin was trying to make him flustered enough to give up on picking out the splinters, then he would be disappointed; the blonde man was dead-set on getting his knuckles back in working order. Although, he had to admit that the way the man strolled and grinned with such arrogance made his cock almost get hard once more.

"Shut up, I'm just doing this so your hand will feel better." he grumbled, half-lying. He really did want to help his hand, but he also couldn't deny that having the man's warm, rough hand in his was almost enough to make his heart beat out of his chest. Sabastian lifted his palm so that he had the hand resting on his. He brought it close, leaning over it and fixing his gaze on the knuckles.

His other hand reached down, using his nails to quickly but efficiently pick out the splinters. His hot breath could be felt on the knuckles as he worked, the man becoming consumed in his little job of getting each and every splinter. He was very thorough, almost halfway done within a few minutes.

Cora quickly turns her face in the opposite direction as Damien pulls her close, still extremely embarrassed that she couldn't keep it together in front of the other two. She had been so close to pushing it back down until she felt his hand holding the back of her head, then she just couldn't take it anymore. Her hands ball up into fists as she squeezes his shirt and though she manages to stay quiet, her chest shakes and heaves with each small sob.

It takes her a few moments to get back to where she can breath normally again, and even then, she finds it hard to stop the tears. Why couldn't she have done this when they were in the woods earlier? And had more privacy? But why did she have to do it at all? It wasn't like this was the first time she had lost someone, she should be able to hold it together a little better.

All I know is that when you're in my arms, you can cry however much you like...

That was why. He was giving her permission to cry; permission to feel. She shouldn't have needed it, and yet she did, because without him telling her it was ok to do it, she wouldn't have and it would have came back to her in some other form later. Either through the nightmares or just going numb. His strong arms around her were allowing her let down her walls, even if it was only for a moment.

"I got your shirt wet...sorry..."

She sniffs and chuckles a little, pulling one of her hands up to wipe her face.

"You know we always used to joke about making a team for the zombie apocalypse...but I guess he never expected to be a member short..."

Vins smile grew a little softer as Sabastian began to work on his hand. The feeling of his soft skin against his hot flesh was enough to make some rather raunchy images cloud his mind. Images such as those little hands wrapped around his girthy length, working him until he came into his hair. Then those same hands captured by one of his as he pinned him against a wall and let his other hand slowly roam from his shoulders right down to his petite little ass.

By the time Sabastian is almost done picking the last of the splinters out, he's rocking a pretty massive boner, and he has to shift the weight of his feet to get it hidden a bit better in his loose pants. His brown eyes stare down into his soft blue, taking in every detail of the way he moves.

He held her, feeling her body shake from the sobs that escaped her. It sounded like the absence of her brother wasn't something that was easy to accept, so much so that it made her want to simply cry for the loss of him. Damien felt a pang in his heart as he felt his shirt becoming damp and thought to himself that he hoped to god that he would be able to protect her the way her brother might have wanted him to.

When she drew back, he gave her a little smile and moved his hand from the back of her head to her cheek to caress her softly. "It'll dry out in no time."

However, her next comment made him pause. He didn't quite know what to say to that. Saying something like 'he's still here in your heart' sounded corny as hell and he wasn't sure if he believed it, and he didn't want to make it seem like he was a viable replacement for her brother either. "I didn't know him but I think... I think he would be happy that you were still alive and trying to make it through. He would probably be proud that you kept going."

Around the time Sabastian was almost done, he started to smell a musky scent, an aroma that made his mouth water and his body feel hotter. What was it? It smelled a bit different than Vin's usual smell, and yet it seemed to be coming from his direction. Once the last splinter was picked out, he brushed off the man's hand gently before looking up to try to identify the scent. His eye wandered until it found the body part playing hide and seek. Sabastian widened his eye as he realized that he might be smelling precum, the large bulge now having been noticed. He swallowed hard as he simply stared, the bright blush returning to his cheeks. With Vin around, he wouldn't be surprised if his cheeks were permanently stained red.

It was shocking to see that the man was hard for him, but it wasn't surprising that the man seemed to be sporting a large package. With abject horror, he realized that he had now been staring for about 15 seconds, making it plain as day that he was getting an eyeful of Vin's junk. He cleared his throat and quickly moved to his feet, grabbing his rolled-up sleeping back and hugging it to his chest as he nodded at Vin while looking away. "Your uh... your hand should be splinter-free now."

Cora crossed her arms and looked out at the road, and all she could manage in answer to what he said was a small shrug and a "probably..."

Her eyes look almost tired and she sniffs again, but her thoughts were miles away. It wasn't just the pain of losing Quint that was bothering her, it was what had happened. It scared her deeply-not for herself, but for Damien. If she ever turned...

"Damien."

Her hazel eyes look up into his with sudden intensity.

"I need you to promise me something, ok? And don't lie to me, please. If I ever... If I ever turn, you don't hesitate. Ok? Even if you can't do it yourself and someone else has to do it for you, just don't hesitate. Don't keep me locked up in some room waiting for a cure that's probably never going to come."

She let her gaze roam his face, looking for any sign that he was about to lie.

"Promise me." Her voice was angry, not leaving any room for argument.

Vins eyes watched hungrily as Sabastian noticed how turned on he was getting for the little man, and he didn't let up for one second, even as he grabbed the sleeping bag and tried to use it as some kind of distraction. He could see from his peripheral that Damien and Cora were having their own private conversation and weren't paying attention to the two of them at that moment, so he took advantage of it.

"No," he said, his voice low. His other hand then reached out and gently lifted Sabastians chin up so that he could look him in the eye.

"Don't look away."

His voice was a low growl and suddenly had a commanding, authoritive tone. Making Sabastian keep eye contact with him, he let the hand that had been propping his chin up slide down his neck and then rest on his shoulder as he bent down to whisper in his ear.

"You turn me on immensely little man, but if you don't want me acting on that then you better let me know right now."

He let his hand slowly slide off his shoulder and he brought it to the pocket of his jean as his stood up to his full height and stared down into his painted face, waiting, almost demanding, an answer from him with nothing but the look in his eyes.

At the sound of his name, Damien met her eyes and was startled by the intensity in them. He got the feeling that he might not like what was coming next. When he heard what she had to say, he pursed his lips and tried to process it. She wanted him to kill her if she ever turned. As far as he was concerned, there probably wouldn't be any cure in the future, the infection resulting in total loss of self unless one ended up like Sabastian, and even then they didn't know the long-term effects of that.

If he turned himself, he would definitely want Cora to shoot him without hesitation as well, so it wasn't as though he had room to be a hypocrite, even if he wanted to.

"Okay. I promise, but only when I really know you've turned. If there's any way to save you in the interim, I will do it. I can only ask that you do the same for me." His eyes were sad, the man not wanting to think about the possibility of her turning. If she died, it would mean his own death as well, no longer having anything to live for. He had lived his whole life without the loving caress of someone who truly loved him for himself; if he lost that, he might as well be a zombie.

With great pain, Sabastian realized that he had to make a choice now and that it would now come to an end. He could not, in good conscience, lead the other man on when he had no intention of laying with him. He wanted to, God he wanted to just look into the man's eyes and say "don't stop," but the reality of it all was that Sabastian was infected in a way that wasn't normal. It was still undetermined as to whether his semen was more infectious, even if Vin seemed naturally resistant to zombie bites. His strength was also a concern, as was his sanity. He couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't lose his mind at any time, and the other man didn't deserve to be mixed up in all that.

Even if he just said that they could do hands only, it was likely that Vin might eventually vie for more. If Sabastian gave the man any hint that he really wanted it, he was afraid that he would continue to pursue him. No, the only way to make sure that the other man would remain safe would be to shut him down completely.

His mouth opened, but it was almost as though his mouth was trying its best not to have to say the words that needed to be said. Sabasian shut his mouth, swallowed, and then tried again, his eye looking directly up into the man's eyes to ensure that he knew he was serious.

"I'm not interested. I think you're hot, but I don't want anything with you. Sorry..." God, it frustrated him so much to have to say something like that, something that was so far from the truth. It would be better this way though. When Vin parted with them later, he would be able to find someone safer for his affections. It wasn't like they had known each other for more than a day, so he doubted Vin would react beyond a shrug and acceptance.
