Morning Coffee And Sweet Surprises (Closed to Poprockz)

She watched him carefully, and when he was finished, she relaxed. She let her arms fall, but she brought one hand up to caress his cheek and then run her fingers through his hair.

"Alright then, you've got yourself a deal. Let's just try not to turn then."

She gave him a sad little smile and sighed, then let her hands come down over his wrists, lightly caressing as she looked down. Noticing that he was still had the frosting in his hand, she took it in her own and held it up to eyes curiously, like she wanted to read the ingredients. She let's her feet start to carry her away from the car, and once she's a little ways away from him, she starts to open the lid. Her eyes go back over her shoulder and she gives him a mischievous grin, knowing he had told her earlier that he gets to use it on her first. Well now she had it and unless he felt like chasing her, she was going to get first dibs.

Delvin watched Sabastian struggle to answer him and he tried to be patient, waiting with baited breath. When he at last got his answer, it felt a little like he had gotten sucker punched. Rejection was never a nice feeling, but Sabastian has said no, so that was that. Even if Vin got the feeling that the grouchy little man was holding back for some reason, he had to respect his decision. And besides that, his own want of the man could have been simply clouding his judgement and making him read signals where there were none. He couldn't deny that Sabastian was one of the hottest people he had ever seen in his life, and perhaps he had gotten a bit carried away in his pursuit.

"It's ok."

He uses the hand in his pocket to push his erection down and out of the way, then with the other hand that Sabastian had so carefully cleaned the splinters from, he pats him on the head gently.

"Don't ever apologize for something like that."

He gave him a genuine smile, if a bit lacking in the earlier good humour, then he turns away and heads to the car to load up in the front seat and make himself comfortable.

He notices Bowies carrier down on the floorboard in the front, but he leaves the snakes be. He was pretty tired and really wanted to get a good nap in while they drove.

He closed his eyes for a moment as she caressed him, focusing on the feeling of her fingers sliding up and through his hair. When she spoke he opened them and nodded, returning her sad smile with one of his own. These were strange and depressing times they lived in now, especially with endless danger lurking around each corner.

Damien didn't think anything of it when she took the frosting from his hand and examined it. Maybe she was checking the expiration date to see how long they could make it last or something. Although, when she started walking away, he wondered what she was thinking while regarding the can with such focus.

It wasn't long until he realized what she was doing, her hand opening the lid, that playful smile of hers. "You sly little frosting thief." Damien smirked and started approaching, ready to grab her if she tried running around him. With a surge forward, he swooped down and picked her up by her waist, throwing her over his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, miss. But I have to take you in- I've caught you red-handed."

Sabastian could see the disappointment in the man's dark eyes, and it made him feel like he had just drowned a kitten, his heart wrenching. It's wasn't okay, and yet it would have to do. Sabastian wished he could just be who he was and let things progress as they should have, but he was changed. It didn't mean that it wasn't damn frustrating, though.

Vin hadn't put up a fight, hadn't pressed, nor had he become angry- he had just smiled at him and accepted it. He almost cursed Vin for being such an honorable guy, as it made him feel even more guilty. As the other man walked back to the car, The blonde, stood there and struggled with his emotions. He had to keep telling himself that he was doing the right thing and that soon they would both get over it and simply be friends. Afterwards, perhaps Vin would leave them at the next settlement and then distance would ease things as well. All he knew for sure was that he was going to seek out the most angsty music on Cora's playlist this evening and play it until he felt better.

Sighing, he grabbed the food pan, dumped out the mushrooms, kicked dirt on them, and walked to the car, his sleeping bag in his other hand. He loaded them up and got into the driver's seat. Sabastian adjusted it to his liking, leaning his head back on the headrest and resting his eye. He wondered if it would be too risky to shift his eyepatch a little when Vin was asleep so that he could actually use his purple eye again.

Her grin grew wider, and she was just about to take off around the car when she felt his grip around her waist, lifting her up like she weighed nothing at all. She screams and laughs and her hand shoots out to steady herself by holding his belt, feeling completely off balance.

"Put me down!" she laughs.

"This is my frosting now! You'll never take me alive!"

Knowing he wouldn't drop her, she huffed and got up the courage to let go of his belt. With her now free hand, she reaches down and gives him a little pinch on his butt.

Vin turned around in his seat, curious what all the fuss was about. When he saw Cora slung over Damien's back, he simply shook his head with a little smile but turned back around. He tried not to think of how much fun it would have been to do that to Sabastian.

He noticed him leaning his head back like he was tired but didn't think too much of it. His fingers go out and he starts lightly touching the radio buttons, curious of what some of the more modern arrangement did. It seemed to have a lot more options than a regular car, and as he was exploring, he noticed a cord. With a big grin growing on his face, he reached in the back seat and grabbed Cora's phone, then started digging through her playlist as he plugged it in.

"Can you turn the car on? Let's test this bad boys speakers."

He turned his grin to Sabastian, hoping he could lighten the mood between them a bit. For as much as he wished he hadn't been rejected, he didn't want to spoil any feelings between them, as he really liked the man for who he was and he wanted to be friends if he could.

Damien laughed with her, about to answer before he felt the pinch on his ass. He jumped and made a little "ooh!" noise before chuckling.

"Your frosting steeling days are over, Cora! Now face justice! That'll be ten spankings... to be dolled out when I see fit. For example..." He freed one of his hand so he could bring it back and spank her playfully. Afterwards, his hand rested on her cheek and he started to squeeze and kneed her soft ass-cheek.

Sabastian peeked his eye open a little, his lips curving into an amused little smile. Part of him was a bit relieved that things weren't going to be awkward and silent between the two of them. While he knew that he could never let Vin get too close sexually or emotionally, he could at least enjoy the man's companionship. That grin of his was so disarming, it made him relax and sparked his own excitement.

"If there's one thing I know about Damien's car, it's that those badass speakers will not disappoint. I just hope you're prepared." His smile widened into a grin and he turned the key in the ignition, the car purring to life. "And I definitely hope you don't plan on playing any Cascada, or I might have to boot you out of the car and leave you for the zombies."

He paused for a moment before reaching over Vin for the glovebox, saying "sorry, one sec" before taking out a pair of cool dark-reflective sunglasses and putting them on in preparation for driving with the sun in his eyes. They were almost comical the way the sunglasses couldn't overpower his boyish features to make him befit the sunglasses.

Her free hand was snaking up his side and going for under his arm where it was ticklish when she felt him kneed her plump bottom. She sucked in a breath and her cheeks turned bright red with embarrassment.

"D-Damien!" She pouted.

"Don't do that where they can see us..."

She didn't mind so much the playful spanking, but caressing her ass just felt a little too intimate. She was trying to crane her head around to make sure that Vin hadn't seen the intimate touch when the car speakers suddenly started blasting out Party Rock Anthem, making her squeal and then laugh.

"Looks like someone found my playlist!" she shouted over the music.

Vin laughed before answering.

"I only play Cascada when I'm really drunk. Alright, how bout this?"

He hit play on a 'party' playlist that she had, then hit shuffle after turning the volume up pretty loud. He turned his gaze over to Sabastian, about to ask him what type of music he liked, but when he saw the way the sunglasses looked on his small face the words got stuck in his throat. The glasses didn't exactly make him look handsome so much as beautiful, in a manly model sort of way. God did he wish he hadn't shot him down.

Not wanting Sabastian to see the hungry look on his face,he turns to the door and cracks it open a bit, then yells out at Cora.

"Did you still want to sing?"

His grin was simply one of boyish excitement, as if she weren't slung over Damien's shoulder at all but just standing there. She returned the grin with one of her own and gave him a big thumbs up.

"Then load up you two! Let's rock this road trip!"

"Saccharine punishment waits for no man!" Damien chuckled back, despite giving her a quick squeeze and releasing her butt as requested. He jumped when he heard the music, looking around to make sure nothing was running their way before relaxing and laughing. He liked that song, and was amused that they were fiddling with his stereo.

Vin had such a nice laugh, and Sabastian hoped he would be able to hear it again soon. The blonde grinned, pleased with Vin's choice in music, and he nodded his head in appreciation. He thought Vin was going to say something to him before he turned and yelled out to Cora.

When Damien heard Vin and felt Cora's presumably affirmative movements, he turned around and walked to the back-door and set Cora down, opening the door and getting in first before buckling his seatbelt and looking at her, patting his lap invitingly. His steely eyes were still playful, the man thinking to himself that it would be nice to simply sit close to her for a couple hours and sing as they rode along.

Speaking of which, Sabastian was already singing along, comfortable from the fact that the music slightly drowned out his voice. His voice was light and boyish, the blonde man looking like he was having a fun time.

Cora didn't hesitate to hop in, sitting down on his lap carefully. She then wiggled her hips a little more than necessary and scooted her ass back until she was firmly pressed up against him before leaning her back against his chest. She can't seem to stay still for very long however, as soon enough the music has her putting her arms up and and dancing as best she can with little space she has, and she wished they could actually dance without fear of something chasing after them. However, she was going to take what she could get and she didn't need to move her legs to get her body moving.

Up front, Vin was having a good old time. This was the type of atmosphere he needed and had missed since the infection started, and as he scrolled through her playlist he bobbed his head to the music. He didn't turn to look at Sabastian for fear of the man stopping, but he could hear his voice just slightly under the beat and it sounded beautiful to his ears. He really hoped he would get an opportunity to maybe get the man to sing with him before he moved on.

Before the song ended, he shouted out to everyone.

"Alright, the dj is taking requests!"

Cora was still much too busy having fun dancing to pitch in what she wanted, although seeing as it was her music, she liked almost everything that was on there.

Damien wasn't going to complain about Cora rubbing her ass against his crotch, though she might find herself slightly uncomfortable later when she felt his lust pressing against her ass later. He grinned, putting his hands on her hips and moving his own shoulders and torso to the music, loving the fact that they were getting the chance to be more carefree.

He didn't really care what music was put on yet. Damien actually was looking forward to being surprised by what came on. It was refreshing, like being in a club or listening to the radio on a roadtrip, a roadtrip being something he had never really been on. When he was a kid, he had been curious about it, but being on the road for days at a time with his parents wasn't his idea of a good time.

Sabastian bounced excitedly, "hey! Play Joyride! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3s8Aympo-4)" He put his foot slowly on the gas and started their drive, though he was very much looking forward to listing and singing to the music with them. It made him feel light in a way he hadn't for a while, even before the apocalypse.

Vin grinned, recognizing the song as he went searching for it. He found it, but waited until Party Rock was done before switching it over. As soon as it started playing, he gave a little nod to Sabastian.

"Good choice."

Cora didn't recognize it right away, but once it got a bit of the way in, she realized it was likely something Sarah had put on her phone. It didn't dampen her mood though, and if anything just gave her a moment to catch her breath from being so bouncy.

She looked over her shoulder at Damien and gave him another quick peck on the cheek, loving that he was feeling relaxed enough to be playful with them. She couldn't forget what she had overhead the night before and it made her want to keep the mood going, wanting him to have a glimpse at what it was like to have friends; to be happy and playful. To love-as it came in so many forms.

Bending over then, she reached out and adjusted their AC in the back. The boys might not have minded it being hot up front, but she wanted it to be cold enough in the back that she could snuggle under the sleeping back with him and not get too uncomfortable. She really wanted a nap, but also wanted an opportunity to be more intimate when they were done playing music and she got her phone back. Her earbuds where on the pile of stuff beside them, and she planned on sharing some music with him before she fell asleep, not knowing when the next time might be where they could be so relaxed.

Once Sabastians song had finished, Cora reached out for her phone and chose the next song.

https://youtu.be/GPRK1ZRGaDc

She handed the phone back and then leaned back against Damien and gave him a playful grin as she half grinded, half danced against him.

"Thanks." Sabastian smiled at Vin in an unguarded way. At that moment, he wasn't feeling like he had to put up walls, relaxing and simply letting the music lift his spirits. He loved that song, always thinking to himself that it was the perfect driving song.

Damien gave her a big smile when she kissed him. Since he was in the back behind everyone, he felt like he could relax more and enjoy himself without looking foolish. It was odd, when they all danced and drove forward, it almost felt felt like he was connected to them in some way. It was odd but pleasant, and he wondered if that was what it was like to just hang out with friends. He smiled to himself, feeling a bit excited and pleased. He kissed the back of her neck, grateful to her for opening the door for him to experience so many new things.

When the new song came on, Sabastian listened for a few moments to feel out the song before starting to dance to it. Honestly, the song was super fucking hot and he couldn't help getting swept up in it. He could just imagine himself dancing in a club to it, his ass grinding against another guy as he felt hands explore him. It filled him with desire and need, the blonde man simply bobbing and swaying as he drove. He briefly bit his lip as he listened, wishing he could bottle the sexy song and use it every evening.

In the back, Damien also swayed to the song, loving Cora's song choice. As she grinded against him, so too did he grind against her. His hands slid from her hips up to the sides of her torso, his fingertips barely gracing her breasts before moving back down and moving down her thighs before repeating the movement. Sometimes he would alternate his hands as he rocked with her to the seductive music playing up front.

When that song was done, Sabastian grabbed the phone and put on another song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPC9b5X9tH0

Vin was trying really hard not sneak peeks at Sabastian, but man he wanted to see that little man dance more. After Sabastians song was over, he was going to have to try and find something that he could sing along to and chill out the sexy atmosphere before he was forced to ask him to pull over so he could deal with the problem in his pants. He started looking through her music as he listened to the next one. It wasn't bad, but for being stuck in the car and not being able to move much, it didn't seem all that fun.

Cora was loving being in the back, and if they didn't have to take shifts driving, she would have been happy to keep it that way. As it were though, she was just waiting on that AC to get just a tad colder so she could throw that blanket over the two of them and have a little privacy.

When Sabastians song came on, she actually lets out a little hoot and woop. She loved that song and she was so happy he put it on.

"Boyee, next time we get a chance, we are going to party!"

Her grin was practically eat to ear as she let her hair fall into her face as and she bobbed back and forth, her hands almost touching the roof. She absolutely loved any kind of club music, and though it was a bit of a guilty pleasure, she really loved cheesy stuff like Cascada as well.

Vin let out a laugh from the front seat, seeing her let loose in the back. He could take a guess that she was probably the type that could hold her liquor steady and go all night long until her legs gave out. Turning his attention back to the music, he finally found something a little more chill and hit play as he turned the volume down just a little bit, wanting to sing so he could focus on something besides his cock straining against his pants.

https://youtu.be/B9FzVhw8_bY

"Oh hell yes!" Cora said excitedly and started snapping her fingers along with the beat. When she heard him start to sing, though, she faltered a little bit. It caught her off guard with how good he was at hitting those notes. She recovered quickly though, and when the second singer started in, she joined in.

She couldn't change her pitch to sound more manley, so she just sang along with her own feminine voice and kept tune with Vin, who looked back at her with a smile. He knew the song probably couldn't highlight her own voice, but from how she was keeping pace pretty well, and from what he could hear, he was looking forward to singing something a bit more appropriate with her.

Sabastian cocked his head to the side, not having heard the song before. Admittedly he didn't listen to country-sounding music all that much, but he was liking the vibe it had at the beginning. When Vin started singing, his head snapped over to him and he had to quickly look back at the road so he didn't swerve and kill them all. God, his voice was so sexy, he felt his cock stir in his pants, feeling a bit annoyed that his body was acting like a horny teenager's today. However, the annoyance slipped away the more Vin sang with Cora. He was pretty sure that the man's voice could melt butter, Sabastian helpless to do anything but drive and listen enraptured.

Damien was also surprised by the man's musicality. He expected the man to be good at playing guitar, but to be good at an instrument and at singing was very impressive to him. He saw the way Sabastian had seem extremely surprised and thought he saw pink creeping up his cheeks, but wasn't sure if he was just getting caught up in the music.

It was finally Damien that leaned forward and took the phone before scrolling through and picking a song. He didn't know if it was one they could necessarily sing to, but he liked the song and was in the mood to hear it. At the very least, it would make for decent driving music. When it came on, he softly sang, not really wanting to be heard over the singer's voice. However, he sounded somewhat similar to the singer, so it was easier for his voice to blend in. He hoped that his music choice wasn't too different from what they preferred. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBfd3jUA6cw

Vin didn't recognize the song but he liked the beat of it and it made him want to try and replicate it on a guitar. He couldn't hear Damien singing, but Cora could, and she loved the sound of his voice. She shook her shoulders to the beat, as after all, it was one of her favourite songs. It made her want to wear a little red cocktail dress and dance with him.

She leaned back against him and sang quietly with him, making it a little private something just for the two of them.

"...she sways in her velvet dress..."

In the front seat Vin was tapping his hands on his knees, paying special attention to the beat and thinking of the strings he would have to pluck in order to get the tune just right. When it was done, he looked over to Sabastian.

"Got any requests?"

Cora reached over and pulled the sleeping bag across them and grabbed her ear buds.

"Hey when you guys are done with that next song, I'm going to steal my phone back for a bit so I can take a nap."

Vin nodded and gave her a thumbs up.

"Sounds good. Could use one myself."

Damien was stoked that Cora liked the song, even knowing the words. He wished he could pull her out and twirl her, leading her in a sexy little tango. He was actually a really good dancer, having been forced to pick something other than closing himself off in his room and working out. He had picked dancing so he could feel the touch of another person without it being weird or awkward.

Sabastian could tell that while he was bursting with energy, the rest of them were winding down. He didn't know that Vin had been up all night and that Damien had been up half of it, but he definitely knew that he was the one who had slept the most out of all of them. He thought to himself for a moment and decided that maybe they could have fun like this again when they were all at full strength.

He decided to request one last song one could rock to. Gesturing to Vin he took the phone and scrolled through while making sure to keep the car straight as he glanced back and forth. Turning it on, he took a moment to grin at Vin for a moment before letting it play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VmsK2x9Y4Q

Listening in a bit of disbelief at first, Vins eyes widen and then he lets loose with a loud and hardy laugh, his head going back against the head rest for a moment. He didn't know who would have taken Cascada of all things and made a rock cover out of it, but he had to admit, it was awesome.

Cora was surprised by the choice too, and she gave Sabastian a huge grin from the back seat.

"Did you listen to his other covers yet? I have a whole playlist with nothing but his songs."

She laughed as well, and rocked out to one last, admittedly cheesy, song. When it was done she took her phone and started scrolling through her full list and she shifted herself under the blanket.

She moved her hips and legs over so that she was sitting sideways across his lap, her her back against the door. It only took her about two seconds to realize how uncomfortable that was, but it was nothing that a folded up shirt couldn't fix. Once she was settled, she plugged her earphones in and then handed one to Damien. The other one she put in her own ear before hitting play.

https://youtu.be/ow1QqW0jzTo

Her head went to rest against his shoulder, and now that the blanket was hiding most of her body, she let her hand roam up his chest, gently rubbing him through his shirt. He was so warm and comforting, and not for the first time, she wondered again why she had never felt this comfortable with any of the guys she had been with before. Jason had been possibly the sweetest man she had ever met, and would often hold her in a similar way to how Damien would, and yet even then, as she realized now, the affection from herself hadn't quite been there. It was the reason Jason had left, too, outright telling her that she just felt cold. Numb, he had said, and it had hurt but she hadn't tried to stop him. She knew she knew how to show it, that true affection, but as she sat there listening to the soft music and feeling his heart beat under her hand, she wondered why she hadn't.

"What's your favourite color?" she asked as the song ended, looking up into his eyes with a little smile and handing him the phone so he could pick out the next one.

Up front Vin was already feeling the effects of no sleep, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands and letting out a loud yawn. He still had the rolled up sleeping bag in his lap, and he had half a mind to use it like a pillow, but even that small movement seemed to much effort. Instead, he just crosses his arms and lays his head back against the seat, letting his eyes close.

There was that laugh again. Sabastian felt like he had been rewarded with the melodious sound of the man's laughter, the sound like music to his ears. It kept the grin on his own face, nodding as Cora asked about the rest of the man's songs. "Hell yeah, I love that dude." He handed the phone back to Cora and focused on driving.

Damien had suspected that she might be more comfortable turned the other way, but let her settle herself the way she wanted. When she was curled against him, he put an arm around her torso and one around her legs to cradle the woman against him. Under the blanket, he gently traced his fingers up and down her side. He wasn't trying to tickle her, more like he was simply stroking her soft skin comfortingly. Unlike Vin, his hands were softer and indicative of a softer life.

He sighed as the song came on, having heard the song before and liking it very much. Her hand on his chest was lovely, the affectionate movements lulling him into being a bit sleepy. He never thought he would ever be comfortable sleeping anywhere but on his own, but there was something about her that made him feel safe.

"Hazel, you?" he replied with his own small smile, hoping that didn't sound too corny. The truth was that he didn't really have a favorite color, finding the premise of choosing one color to be too restrictive. He liked all the colors in their own way, but the color of her eyes seemed to draw him in. Her eyes were so beautiful to him that he decided that hazel had to be the best color.

As soon as Sabastian was sure that Vin was sleep, the blonde lifted his eyepatch and opened his violet eye for the first time in a while. It was almost unsettling how much better his vision became when it was open.

Sabastian felt them before he saw them, looking off to the side of the road as he drove as though he was expecting something. He tried to be subtle so that Vin didn't see him looking if he happened to wake up, keeping his face forward as his eyes wandered behind the reflective glasses. When they came into sight, he didn't say anything, just ignored them and kept driving. Those milky eyes watched them pass and started lumbering as though they thought they had any chance of catching their fast-moving car.

Just like the rest of them he assumed, those cobwebbed eyes haunted him. His hands gripped the steering wheel a bit harder as he forced himself to breath rather than tense up further. Every day he wondered if it was only a matter of time before he ended up either like those poor souls or like Margaret. He would have to talk to Cora later about what they would do if that happened. Obviously, he wanted to be put down. The thought of him hurting them or molesting them made his skin crawl.

Damn, he wished they had some booze. Maybe he would search the car later to see if Damien hid some away. It was unlikely, but it would give him something to focus on. He glanced at Vin, finding him very cute as he slept, it lightened his heart a little from the thoughts weighing him down.

Coras eyes widened a bit, and then she giggled and gave him a playful, but gentle, smack on his chest.

"That's not a color dork. Well not one color. Alright, if you're choosing multiple colors, then I'm choosing multiple colors too. Hmm..."

She stared out the window for a moment, then looked back at him.

"Alright, black-because it goes with everything, forest green, and midnight blue. Oh! And that really pretty deep purple like S-like...those flowers you see sometimes? That dark dark purple that looks really pretty under the sun?"

She glanced at Vin for a brief second, but he seemed to be passed out pretty hard, so she went back to picking out another song.

https://youtu.be/f3RVootcD4w

"Ok, favourite animal? And you have to give me at least three colors" she grinned.

Damien grinned and shrugged, waiting for her own choices. So hers were black, midnight blue, forest blue, and deep purple; he tried to burn those into his memory so he could remember later if he ever had the chance to get her something pretty, or maybe just pick a flower for her.

"Okay, yeah. I think I know what purple you're talking about," he replied as he watched her chose a new song. He thought for a moment at her question. "Well, I used to think that birds were my favorite since they can fly wherever they want, but Bowie is making me seriously question my choice. I didn't think too much of him at first, but he's a good pet and was good company when I was alone in your apartment. He didn't even judge me when I was walking around with a pair of your underwear in my pocket."

Damien gave her a playful wink, expecting another light smack to his chest.

Sabastian was of course, eavesdropping, though he didn't say anything as he pretended to focus on the road.

"Birds huh?" she asked softly. Cora had never thought about that, but then again, she never thought she would be free. She liked it though. At the mention of Bowie, her smile grew a little more, happy that the snake had grown on him. She had wanted a pet badly when she was younger, and her parents had promised them a dog...but then the accident had happened. The next time they tried to get themselves a pet, it didn't turn out great, so she gave up on it for a long time.

At the mention of her underwear in his pocket, she does give him another smack.

"Pfft, pervert. Yea, snakes make really good pets, especially when you can't always get yourself out of bed to take care of them."

She felt so comfortable in his arms that she didn't think much of what she had just said, continuing on as if it were something normal.

"A lot of people underestimate them, or think they won't be as enjoyable as a dog or cat, but they can be really fun. Especially the bigger ones" she grins.

"Alright, now, three colors. No more avoiding the qu-"

She gets interrupted as a big yawn works it's way up through her throat, making her stop for a moment. When it's done, she looks almost frustrated. She really didn't want to fall asleep so fast, as she was really enjoying just talking with him.

"Avoiding the question..." she finishes softly.

He nodded, while birds were light and fragile, at least the lucky ones weren't caged. The little smack as expected makes him chuckle, but her next sentence makes him pause. That sounded familiar, not being able to get out of bed. He had struggled with depression himself and recognized that she was basically admitting to her own struggles. Damien's mind went back to those videos and he wondered if that man had something to do with it. His arms went a bit tighter around her, pressing her more snugly against him. He really wanted to question her further, but he didn't want to push her especially when she was tired and seemed more relaxed than she had been recently.

At the mention of bigger snakes, he grinned widely. "Hm... I could see how a big snake would be fun to play with. I bet that weight feels really good in your hands too, at least that's what I've heard."

His eyes intently watched her face as she yawned, finding her to be absolutely precious. The way her eyes watered slightly while her cute mouth opened wide made him feel like he might melt. He looked at her with adoration thinking to himself how strongly he felt for her. He would do anything for her, anything she asked unless it was for him to leave. "Green, Amber, and black," his soft voice murmured before he kissed her forehead and rested his head on her shoulder.

Man, she was so freaking tired. She didn't even feel like putting another song on the phone.

"Mm, amber is a really nice color" she murmured.

His head on her shoulder felt so good and she knew she wouldn't be able to stay awake much longer. Working an arm up through the covers, she takes both the earbuds and then puts the phone up between the two front seats.

"Here ya go Sabastian."

With that done, she cranks the AC up just a bit more and then snuggles up, trusting Sabastian to get them to their next stop. Just before she nods off completely, she squeezes Damien's hand softly and whispers "love you.."

Damien could think of nothing more perfect than having Cora curled up in his arms while they both fell asleep cuddled up to each other. He could smell her soft scent from her shoulder, and he thought to himself how lucky he was to have her as his own, the smell acting like a drug in coaxing him into sleep. With his eyes closed, he squeezed her hand back and whispered, "love you too."

Sabastian nodded and plugged the earphones in, putting the playlist to her most angsty songs to ease some of his worries. He drove while they all slept, safely navigating the roads as he went. there were far less zombies than he expected, but he never let his guard down as he continued to feel for the zombies.

After a while, he started to need to use the restroom and the car needed more gas, so he turned off into a little town. It was very small, and while he could sense zombies, he couldn't see any. What he did see was a little pawn shop, and it occurred to him that there might be a guitar in there for Vin. He drove out of town about a quarter mile, parked the car, and wrote a note on a napkin before getting out with the two gas cans and walking toward the city. He had locked the car before he got out, leaving the keys in case they needed to get out.

He would be fine, of that he was sure, but he didn't want to leave them stranded. Upon entering the city, he popped into the pawn shop, looking around for a guitar until he found one. It was priced around $650, but he figured the owner would be kind enough to give him the zombie discount. He also grabbed some extra strings listed as an add-on and admired the guitar. It was a silver guitar that one almost would think was something else entirely. It looked like the guitar was basically a silver dragon, and Sabastian thought it was cool as hell.

Sabastian exited the shop and made his way to the gas station, finding another hose and siphoning gas into the two cans. He also found two additional cans and filled them up too, heading back to the car afterward. It wasn't too heavy for him, having slung the guitar over his shoulder and onto his back with the shoulder strap of the guitar bag. The car had just come into sight by the time Damien started to stir.

The car coming to a stop had woken Vin up, but it had taken him a few moments to really pull himself out of the dreads of sleep. When he did finally manage to pull himself into consciousness, he looked around and realized Sabastian wasn't there. He figured the man was probably just taking a leak, until he spotted the note.

A hot wave of adrenaline went coursing through his veins as he realized what the man was doing, all by himself, and it woke him up quicker than a cold bucket of water down the back. He got out of the car, started walking towards town, then realizing he had no idea which way he could have gone, went back to the car and leaned against it. His foot tapped nervously against the ground and as he waited, he pulled out a cigarette and started pacing.

He was on his second one and just about to go looking for the little man when he finally saw him come walking out of town. He let out a breath of relief, but just as quickly it was replaced by anger. Throwing his cigarette down on the ground and stomping it out, he started to stride over to the blond haired man, his hands balled up slightly.

"Sabastian" he growled once he was in earshot.

"What the fuck were you thinking? Why the hell did you go out on your own? Do you not realize how fucking dangerous that is?"

He tried hard not to raise his voice, but he couldn't seem to help it, as he was overcome with not just anger, but fear. He didn't know if the man would have made it back.

He took a few long strides over to him and glared down at him, trying to stay angry but finding the sight of his cute little heart eyepatch and that big beautiful blue eye melting his resolve.

"You should have woke one of us up" he said with a little less heat.

He smiled excitedly as he saw Vin, wanting to show him the new guitar he had found for him, but his face quickly turned a bit apprehensive as he saw the way Vin was stalking his way over to him. Vin was angry, and Sabastian wasn't quite sure why until the man growled at him. His eye widened in realization, and he looked down as he drooped a little bit from Vin's words.

It wasn't as though he could just come out and say that he was basically invisible to zombies, nor that he could sense when they were nearby. Out of all of them, he was truly the safest going anywhere in these times, safe even by himself. Even if one of them attacked him or he got jumped by regular people, he was more than strong enough to defend himself.

That being said, he felt bad about making Vin worry about him. He had thought he would be back before any of them woke up and didn't even consider the affect it would have on them. If their roles had been reversed and Vin had gone into town by himself, Sabastian would have been extremely concerned. Normally he might have just shrugged Vin off and given him a haughty reply, but he realized the gravity of what Vin had been worried about.

He set down the gasoline cans and bowed his head a bit, looking up with his blue eye apologetically.

"Sorry... I thought I could just sneak in and out quickly if I was really careful... I really wasn't thinking. I'm really sorry, though. It won't happen again." His soft words were genuine, and he lifted his arm to wipe a bit of sweat off his brow from the heat before looking back down again. He felt a bit too guilty to look Vin in the eye again, hoping that his apology would be sufficient to put his mind at ease.

He wanted to stay mad at him. Actually, what he really wanted to do, was grab his hands and bend him over his knee, then spank his ass so many times it turned bright red with the outlines of his hand for making him worry. That wasn't appropriate behavior, however, nor feelings-especially now, and as he watched Sabastian basically cringe under his gaze and harsh words, he felt himself deflate. As he turned that big blue eye on him and gave him such a sad look, Vin felt as if he had just yelled at a child, and any lingering anger he had was washed away and replaced by guilt.

"It's just too dangerous" he says, much more quietly this time and with no traces of anger.

His dark brown eyes roam down to the two gas cans. Reaching down and picking them up, he gives Sabastian one more look, but this time his gaze breaks and he cracks a small smile.

"These aren't light. You're stronger than you look, aren't you?"

He starts to turn and head back to the car with him, and though he had noticed the belt around his torso, he hadn't seen what was attached to it just yet.
