My dad passed away.

Lovely poem Dreamy!! I lost mine in 2007, so I understand the pain you are going through. You can/will get through it.

My love to you and your family dear. You know I feel deeply for your loss. You were close and the loss of someone that close hurts. You are a strong woman and your father wants you to be that way.

Rest easy knowing that you are a better person by having him in your life. He will never stop loving you and you will never stop loving him.

Be strong , be brave, and always be his daughter.

Some days it hurts more than I have words for. I'm pushing forty and this time last year I flew home to be at my fathers funeral. We fought as much as we talked sometimes. But when we put our heads together we could solve almost any problems that faced us. The man served his country and his family with all that he was.after a year it still hurts almost as bad as the morning I got that call. But for those of us whose fathers helped shape us I feel that they gave us the strength ( sometimes just enough strength) to make it through the bad days. I feel your pain and pride.

We let 3 balloons go symbolizing his 3 children his 2 grand kids and his wife. Read a poem from Kahil Gibran " your children are not your children" read a poem I wrote" my daddy, my dad, my friend" and my sister wrote a poem too. And we read that as well. And we sang "Rise and shine" he would sing this to all of us when he woke is up in the morning. And it was sunset at the same time. It was a beautiful service and he would of loved it!

my love and prayers! be happy and thankful you had him in your life and that all of you were part of his!

I am so sorry to read of the passing of your father. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

wishing you peace and warm memories, Dreamy. I know the hurt you are going through. So wonderful when you can look back at all the love, care, and support he gave you throughout the years.
RIP :rose:

He was an amazing man. He loved his wife and his children and grand children. He made many friends.

My dad loved art, music, nature, expressive written words, animals and more.

He was truly a renaissance man! And I get my love of life truthfully from him. I'm currently in Fla and we will have a celebration of his life today by the ocean.

I have written a poem for him and will turn it in for posting today. I hope all of you will go to the poetry section and read it. It's titled

My daddy, my dad, my friend.

Thank you for being here and reading my post!

Sorry for your loss.

Please accept my sympathy, Kitten.

I lost my own dad just a few years ago.

I just want to add my voice and say I am sorry for your loss. I have already been there, my dad passed away 4 years ago. Celebrate his life and remember all the good times, he lives on through you.:rose:

I'm sorry to hear this, but it sounds like he would have loved the way you remembered him.

Just peeking in to send you warm hugs and love.
I know how hard it is to lose someone you love.

I can relate, my Mom died in October at 82.

I am finding it far easier than I thought I would, her last few years were very tough on her. Health issues just wore her down, I am saying she just died of Old Age.

I have chosen to remember my Mom when she was a wonderful vital woman rather than the sort of shell she was when she died. My Dad is struggling, although less than we all thought. They were pretty much connected at the hip for 51 years.

Hang in there.

When I decided to post this thread I thought

A few people would give me virtual hugs and that would be that.

What I've found is that literotica is full of amazing people who take the time to reach out to someone they don't know and it truly has made me feel loved and cared for! It truly has been a wonderful exp! Thank you all for your warm thoughts and encouragement! :rose::kiss:
