So here's the scoop.

I bought my first vibrator last night. 6 1/2 inches. About an inch and a half thick. Got a bit of heating K-Y jelly, and set to it.

Only problem? It wasn't that great. I only ended up coming from running it over my clit. I know I hit my G-Spot every once and a while when it was actually inside me, because I had the feeling of needing to urinate. But after I let it sit there for a while, expecting that soon the need to pee would turn to plain-ol' pleasure, it didn't. It just felt like I needed to pee. And even when it wasn't on my G, it wasn't that great.

Has anyone else ever experienced this first-time let-down? I don't want to be one of those girls who can't cum from all-out fucking. The thought really turns me on. But the actual action doesn't quite cut it.

Help!!

Unfortunately, I'm not so familiar with vibrators...although all my girlfriends recommend the Rabbit...its got both the G-spot and clitoral stimulation at the same time. You may also want to stimulate your clit while playing with the vibrator.

My first experience with a vibrator was a disaster...as I was playing with it the first time (mind you, I washed it thoroughly beforehand), it started to burn down there. Now, I thought maybe, this is how its supposed to feel (don't ask me what I was thinking), so I kept going. Well, within another minute or so, there was a full out burn all over my special places. Turns out, I am highly allergic to the jelly-like material that a lot of vibrators are made out of. It hurt to sit or pee for about a week afterwards. I suspect I could probably use condoms or something similar with a vibrator - but what a pain!

Hope this makes your experience at least seem a little better.

Mine is Jelly, and has a special curve to it for g-Spot stimulation. I don't think I was hitting my uretha, but I guess it's possible. I just heard that at first when you hit your spot it feels like you have to pee.

There wasn't any burning. It went in ( a little painful at first, but got past that), it just wasn't super great. Maybe I need to keep practicing and getting used to it.

oh color me you could come and visit me and i will help you with it.

I'm sure you would not mind the help.

And if you not doing it correct i could give you a good licking. :D :D :p

I find that when I use a toy by myself, I have to be SERIOUSLY hot before I even reach for it. By that, I mean...dripping, dying to have something inside me, whimpering with NEED kind of hot. Only then does a vibrator do anything at all for me.

Maybe you need to give it a few more test drives and see what happens. :)

I would suggest not having it vibrate while it's in you just to get a feel for placement. For me, having it turned on sometimes is a distraction from the feeling of having it hit the right places. The first few times are usually about finding out what works (it took buying a new vibe for it to feel right for me).
Just my $.02

Ah, now you are realizing the reasons A 7 inch Phildo costs a little more but well worth the expense!

Seriously Dildo / vibes can be fun for you but it ain't the real thing. Good and bad points to that.

You may want to consider a selection of toys to play with. One for the clit another for the vaginal orifice. Maybe one for the anus, and yet another for the nipples. Variety is the spice of life what works well for one, may not be right for another.

I have tried ...

... to get some good feedback on VIBRATORS and G/ASpot stimulation on my" TRY THIS " thread. It has been my contention that normally the GSpot needs the hard stimulation of a thumb or the heavy nub of a GSpot dildo. So far I have not heard from anybody who received the same degree of GSpot arousal simply by having a vibrator against that area. Maybe AFTER the GSpot has been stimulated and orgasms are being produced from that ... maybe then a vibrator would trigger GSpot orgasms but even that I doubt. The GSPot doesn't seem to be set up to trigger on that type of stimulation. It seems to only fire when it is rubbed/pumped in a very firm manner. From my experience anyway...

This thread or the TRY THIS thread ... I'd love to hear more feedback on this.

Ya win some, you lose some...

now you know to buy a multi purpose vibe

a gspot finder (they curve up obviously in design)

or just a clit teaser/hugger/poker/stimulator

it happens to the best of us :)

I had the same problem with one of mine, I've found when used with a partner... in a roleplay or just have him use it... it was more stimulating then using it alone.

You mentioned this is your first vibrator.

It doesn't have to be your LAST vibrator. I'd suggest trying out different models, shapes & sizes. You just might have to try a few out with different nuances in order to find what gets you going.

Isn't that half the fun? Alright... maybe 1/4 of the fun; you can devote the other 3/4 to a mind blowing orgasm!:D

We are just starting out in the toy department too. If I'm playing by myself I still have to do all the things I'd normally do to get totally aroused, ie read some very hot stories, close my eyes and fantasize etc and even then I have to make a conscious choice to reach for the vibe. Fingers can be so perfect.

We bought a relatively cheap jelly coated vibe at a recent SexFest event, the outer coating really did nothing for me and luckily you could just slip the cover off and underneath was a rather nice chrome, smooth, no frill vibe that packed a lot more punch without it's cover.

With some good lube ie Eros Bodyglide, the vibe feels good sliding between pussy lips and rubbing over my clit and is fine inserted. The insertion thing doesn't really do it for me as yet. I know it sounds obvious, but you need to play around to discover what feels good.

I did spend $100.00 on a model from the "Contour" range and was little disapointed, not enough vibration for me.

Haven't explored the GSpot with vibe yet, still recovering from "discovering" the power of doing this live with a partner ala Mr G's thread.:D Recommended reading.

I hear you

I was disappointed with the first vibe I ever bought, when I had first graduated college (almost 5 years ago, eep!) and was working several states away from my boyfriend. It was a small, inexpensive, not too powerful thing. I ended up tossing it, and went through quite a while of thinking a vibrator just wasn't the toy for me. I bought a different, larger, supposedly stronger one and still, it didn't do much for me.

After reading lit for a while, and being single for a while and getting pickier about my choices in men, I recently bought one of the small bullet type vibes, which has several settings - low and high steady vibrations, and different types of pulses... and it is SO GREAT. I find the vibration is so great, I don't need that big old thing around it to quell them and give me a sensation of being filled.

Good luck, happy shopping! www.blowfish.com offers really nice reviews of everything they sell, and I've been very happy with that site.
