Marmite and Vegemite are the British and Australian variations on the same concept. Marmite is darker, saltier, and stickier in texture, while Vegemite is browner, maltier, and creamier.

I don't think she would be the first on this forum to have sticky keys. And the comma key is right next to the period key. It could happen.

I think the pole should have a couple more options. One would be "no comment" and the other would be "I reserve judgment until I know more". Just giving two options in a pole is leaving yourself open for rude condemnation. Either she's great or she's nuts? Now what would you choose?

The only problem I see with this thread is that it should have been started in the Cafe rather than the Talk forum. And we can all choose to read it (or not)

I have my own thread (as do others here) in which I vent about day to day stuff. I think it's better to keep it in the one place rather than randomly posting in different threads all over the boards.

Vegemite is a paste, made from yeast extract really. It's brown to black, masively chock full of vitamins. It's salty, malty (given that it's made from the yeast left over in beer making) a little bitter.

Very sharp taste that requires some getting used to.

But when you do, it's really very good. There's nothing more comforting when you're feeling crappy than hot buttered toast with some veg.

I like Poles and Polls. I didn't vote in this one as there are no options that fit what I think.

I would like to try Vegemite and many other non meat items from around the world. I do rather enjoy making myself "yeast toast" so I might well like Vegemite and the like.

I dislike the word cunt a great deal. I even more dislike the misspelling of the word as kunt. As an aside, I also find the misspelling and common usage of "cum" for come to be quite irritating and somewhat nauseating.

I don't like it when married people cheat but I understand that when you've tried communication time and time again (something not established by the OP) and have important incompatibilities sometimes people feel driven to it. I try not to judge but it rankles to see this "He he, I'm a bad girl but my husband doesn't know, it stuff."

This board is not fond of the sort of exhibitionism / masturbation fodder this thread looks to be. I'm not fond of it either. Threads like this tend to get a rough and unpleasant reception.

I don't like terms like slut and whore but when I use them I tend to apply them equally to men, women and cats. Gawd, my cats are food whores, chip whores in particular. Don't you think Captain Kirk was the biggest whore in all of sci fi TV dom? Okay, maybe I apply it more to cats and men? LOL I guess I either want to make these terms less negative or change the way they are perceived.

Not long ago my mother brought me a HUGE thing of apple butter. I'm not that fond of it but I'll eat a little. No one else in my home will. I HATE to see things go to waste which might be why people are constantly giving me cast offs? So I looked up recipes using it. I found this one:


Apple Butter Pork Loin
Six servings:
Ingredients
2 (1 1/2 pound) pork tenderloins
Seasoning salt to taste ?!?
2 cups apple juice
1/2 cup apple butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Season the pork tenderloins I don't eat meat which makes cooking it with the absolutely correct seasonings difficult damn it.with seasoning salt, Note, it doesn't say how MUCH seasoning salt to use. WTF?!?and place them in a 9x13 inch baking dish or small roasting pan.

Pour apple juice over the pork, and cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.

Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven.

While the pork is roasting, mix together the apple butter, brown sugar, water, cinnamon and cloves.

After the hour, remove pork tenderloins from the oven, and spread the apple butter mixture over them.

Cover, and return to the oven for 1 hour, or until fork tender.

I did a double recipe to use up all that apple butter! Husband and son, the only meat eaters in the house said it was "okay" but could use more salt. I encouraged them to therefore use the damn salt shaker. Next up, using picante sauce (bought in error and), not acceptable to my daugther (this is why she needs to go to all shopping she is so freaking picky), in some recipe. Ideas accepted until Friday. May get to this weekend!

I don't think she's great or nuts - I think she's new and ignorant (not a bad thing, we've all been there), with a side of possible sub-frenzy.

I don't want any sub, let alone a new one. Let's just face facts - topping turns my stomach. It's not arousing in any way. It would be unethical, if not illegal, for me to hit anyone I'd actually *want* to hit. And the only reason I have any interest in preforming fire cupping is because I do it therapeutically and it's a service oriented thing.

And wanting a Dom like hers... No. I have two wonderful People who match me very well. And they'd have my head on a pike if I ever publicly debased myself in such a manner. Especially to strangers. On an open forum for the entire world to see.

A bit of advice, if this is your PYL's way of training, I would give them a miss. This is a forum, not a blog....if they are not smart enough to figure that out, and thoughtful enough to not to try and force this junk onto others who have not consented to being part of your relationship, nor witness to it, then they obviously lack the necessary manners and smarts for dominating. There are multitudes of ways to blog online, but then again you would have to wait to build up a follwing, assuming it would be discovered and followed anyway....coming here to force it on us is not considerate, nor a good way to introduce yourselves. Yuk, I so dislike this way of supposed dominating and training.

It is possible that there is better place for our messing about! I have not looked around but a blog or the story posts might be better. It would be bad form to post ...stuff in an inappropriate place! Hmmmmm an Ellipsis. And, I so dislike inappropriate behavior.
What say you? Shall we find another place.

I don't like polls period. I've disallowed them on the forum I manage, and over here they leave a nasty yellow stain on what is already an unpleasant shade of blue (I use the aria chocolate skin).

blogger.com and wordpress.com both have a lot of kink blogs, and you can link up in networks, which is awesome.

fetlife.com is a cool place and lets you keep a sort-of blog, under the "writing" link at the top of each page.

And you could post each entry as a story, as long as it's over 750 words.

Actually, I mostly just try to follow the advice I've attempted to pass on to others regarding relationships ('nilla, kink, strawberry, pistachio, chocolate mint, or whatever floats thy boat): Communicate, communicate, communicate! Preferably as clearly and (reasonably) concisely as possible.

Maybe cryptic was the wrong word. I just meant it wasn't a very good poll, not giving enough options. I don't think it was masturbatory, but the choices were bias. Polls usually have opposing choices.
