The NHS advises in the uk its ok as long as its an amount of alcohol within recommended healthy limits, and you aren't usually a heavy drinker.

I've not had a drink in a couple of months at least, a bottle of whisky nowadays lasts more than a year.
The hot toddie was made up of, a double whisky, juice of half a lemon, a teaspoon of honey and topped up with hot water. All in a tall glass.

I've only had one, and I'm also under the max dose of paracetamol.
