I'm either ready to go or I have way too much work to get done before I start. Can't decide which.

I can stick to answering instead of starting it. LOL

I am almost dead with fright, sure I've way too much on my hands to handle NaNo as well.

As for preparations: I can't decide what is wise.

I have the broad outline on paper (pc), I know where I want to go more or less. But thanks to Svenska I have this character sheets that are laughing at me every evening. I am scared to start on them though, because I'm afraid once I fill them in, I can't stop myself from starting to write the story itself.

At the moment I don't even have an outline. Last year, I had a set of chapter headings, and it worked, except that I still haven't finished the story. (I will!)

Earlier this evening, I didn't even have a plot idea, but I've been chatting online to a friend and an idea came up in conversation. I'll mull it over, but I think I've got (at least the genesis of) my plot!

Thursday night I will start thinking of a plot.
Thursday night I will also be out celebrating the goodriddance of midterm exams with me classmates. Celebrating with this bunch means someone is dancing on the table and at least two are fucking under it. sShould make for interresting plot bunnies.l

I'm not going to work on at total outline, I think it'll be too restraining, but several basic notes and plotpoints will be necessary, I think. And as for the overall plot, I dunno if I have it worked out enough just yet.

I've said before that I'm aiming to complete a novel rather than start from scratch. I know, it's not quite NaNo rules, but heck, it's 50,000k words, does it really matter if it's the beginning or the end?

I'm 2k words into chapter 17, puts me at about 85k so far. I'm aiming for 100k by 31st Oct. The chapters up to then are pretty much resolved. The final 50k are the resolution of the story, I know how it ends, but not how it gets there.

This is a first draft, typing off the cuff, no editing, it will require major re-working. My objective is to finish a novel length story that I can then develop, edit, refine over the following twelve months.

Liar, just grab one little spark of inspiration you might have and run with it. You really do not need to have done any plotting or planning, I never do!

Hate to suggest it but Lyme Disease lasts four to six weeks. The beauty from a Lit. point of view is that you have to spend most of your time in bed, you cant remember anything and your too weak to resist.
