I'll be writing a sequel to a draft novel that I've decided to break into two parts. Definitely two parts, almost separate stories. Just some of the same characters.

I've got a plot!

After days of indecision I have worked out a plot for NaNoWriMo based vaguely on Scherazade and the 1001 nights.

One main male character and his interaction with all the women in his life (after he and they are 18 years old, of course).

I can extend the number of women indefinitely until I reach 50,000 words and then wind up with the woman he really wants (or who wants him).

All I have to do now is expand the idea into 30 or so chapters...

Didn't you say a Prof. had sent this info to you? And you can get some class credit out of participating?? That would be cool!

Basically yes! Any one of us who choose to NaNo and are willing to turn in the work for critique and all that don't have to do assignments (for that class) after midterms. I'm so there! It's a writing class (go figure) and I have a theory it's cause my instructor is also doing it and she won't have time to look at anything we turn.

You got it, BT. Aroung this gin joint it's just work, work, work, work, work. The way I figured it, getting into the contest could have meant giving up about half my sex life. Of course, that would have left me with the tough problem of deciding which half to give up; the part I dream about or the part I lie about.
