NC needs creative Help

err...we'll save the ARC for later....

Stanley was stanley
Ledger was heath leadger aka the joker in TDK
Kane and Fingers refer to Bob Kane and Bill Finger, the creators of batman.

that is all

LOL, okay. :)

Stan Lee?

Oh yeah, I did get Ledger!

I should have caught Kane, but I was thinking "What? The wrestler?" LOL

And I have never heard of Bill Finger...

Must be one of those rare cases where you associate one thing with one creator, like alot of people do with, oh, say, D&D, Gary Gygax, right? But don't forget that David Arneson helped too... LOL.

Chapter Seven: Crowe's Dawn

Flashback: Open on Nate and Malcolm doing random stuff at their uncles home completely engrossed in the game, they aren’t aware of what their uncle is working on as he’s typing away on his computer. He is working on a prototype Knight Crow suit. The phone rings and he picks up the phone and reads the caller ID and collapses back into his seat. The boys remain oblivious for a few minutes until they become Nate becomes irritated by the phone ringing and asks if his uncle is going to answer. This jars Uncle into answering the phone.

Flash to KC fixing his HQ, the message from HAVOC still on the computer. KC is frustrated as he’s looking for clues that he doesn’t believe are there. After a while he finally decides he can’t handle this on his own, he needs to ask for help.

Flashback: Nate, Malc and the Uncle are sitting in a courtroom awaiting the verdict on the criminals responsible for the death of the parents. Currently on the stand is Detective Long giving his expert testimony linking the murder to the mobster, Christopher Moon. Moon is sitting behind a chair in shackles. The verdict is given as Death by Lethal Injection. Moon freaks out and reveals that he is a Homo Sapiete by Screaming and causing an Earthquake. (Turns out even he didn't know he was a HS). This causes major structural damage to the court house injuring many of the people inside along with the Uncle. As, one of the other mobsters, helps Moon escape, the Uncle orders Nate to don the suit which is stored in a “secret” compartment of their car (The spare wheel spot) and help with evacuating people. Nate wants to go after Moon but Uncle explains to him that it’s more important to save lives than to stop the badguy right now.

Enter KC who helps the police with the evacuation of troops, starting by lifting something that several of them had been straining with to free a woman. The cops at this point decide to trust KC as they don’t have time to be concerned about him, they continue the with the rescue and as KC is leaving one of the officers asks him his name and he replies that he hasn’t come up with a name yet. Awkward pause and then he exits.

Weeks later he’s still searching for Moon with no luck, his uncle is in a coma at hospital. Moon has been supposedly linked for the deaths of several other police and their families in recent weeks but nobody can track him down it seems, particularly not Nate who could never figure out where in the world was Carmen Sandiego. He hasn't touched the suit since. One night, Malc is listening to the police scanners by accident, and hears that the cops have found Moon. Eagerly, Nate dons the suit once more and heads off to help.

Detective Long has managed to track down Moon and is involved in a shoot out with the villain when KC interrupts. He puts down Moon easily enough and wants revenge, but Long, who is the only other one nearby, manages to talk him out of doing anything wrong. KC see's the reason and hands him over.

Again Long asks who he is and KC responds he’s working on it. Long responds maybe you should try Knight Crowe. You kinda look like a modern knight and a Crowe.

Flash to present and KC deciding it’s time to go ask for help from long.

IN EPISODE 8: I will have him go to Long, who says he figured out his identity, and explains breifly when, then helps him find malc....

NOTE: I have decided to change the family surname from Crowe, and change Knight-Crowe to Knight-Crow....Otherwise if you think about it, it would be obvious. I think I shall change the surname to Rodriguez.

Other than I liked the play on words with the Surname Crowe so that we can drop the hint that Long new from the get go.

I agree that it is obvious but it would only be obvious to somebody who was at the trial and observant enough to notice who they didn't save (which also plays into Long being a particularly astute detective) anybody. Other than that it's no more obvious than whenever Bruce Wayne adopts a new ward suddeny there's one more cape in Gotham. It's arguably less obvious because I don't get the impression that the Crowe's were particularly famous.

Other than that I like it all.

A note...

Sean has written 2 eps for this volume...If anyone else would like to write an episode for this volume let me know.

Alternatively, if you want to write an episode for an alternate volume, just let me know, ort if you want to write something completely different for the character, again just Pm me.

Ravenloft, would you like to co-write our one off non canonical story? I think that we could make it fit between vols 1 and 2, as a nonsense story...I keep seeing it as a short graphic novel lol.

Episode 8: Identity

Opens with a brief runcap of what has happened before, flicks to Long in his office, when a crow shape flies past his window. Understanding the message, he goes to the roof, where KC is waiting for him. KC asks for Longs help and goes to pull of the mask/helmet, when Long stops him.

'Leave it on Nate, you don't know who's watching.'
'Huh? How'd you..'
'Your like a son to me sometimes, did you really think i wouldn't figure it out.'

Thus Nate tells Long of the problem and they begin to think about where he could be. Long remembers that it was his uncle that got him into it, and add to that a radnom clue in the wording of the message KC recieved, realises that they are going to be near the uncle.

'But where? It's staffed isn't it.'
'Not in the east wing where they're renovating it isn't'

Thus they go to the hospital, where they are ambushed by DRONE. KC leaves long to fend them off, while he goes after Malc n Havoc.

Havoc finds Malc, but falls into the trap set by Havoc, who begins to criticise him and tell him where he went wrong. As they talk, Malc drops a hint to KC about what to do.

'You know Havoc, I can believe you thoughtt you'd be arrogant enough to make me Vanish, working behind the scenes helping us all the time like a magicians assistant, it's stupid.'

Or something along those lines, causing KC to remember the EMP they added to the suit, in case he ever came up against Izzy Bizarus again.

He tells Havoc good bye blah blah, and triggers it, causing HAVOC to switch off mid sentence. KC asks if its done and Malc says nearly, then crabs a metal rod and begins to destroy the computer. He then says that later he'll flush out all traces with a hunter virus. Long enters, the drones having ceased functioning.

End, more or less, there.

Seems short though sometimes summaries seem really sort and it means nothing so consider it an observation. Neither positive nor negative at the moment.

1. I like that we stuck with Long knowing and even how he reveals it.

2. I don't like the hospital scenario UNLESS we are going to make it a lesson in collateral damage. *which leads me to a later point*

3. Screw the EMP. We'll have that in the works and HAVOC should have planned for all of Nate's known equipment, which I think should play a major part in the battle as sort of redux of the Blaize battle just on a nother level because he's not fighting a humanoid this time (as I understand it, DRONEs aren't humanoid are they?) Instead lets show Nate's think on his feet ability (plus drive home the fact that HAVOC is "predictable" which I think should be a hallmark of HAVOC eventually) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defibrillator. Metal beds+defibrillator *Those things they use in hospitals to revive you* ::CLEAR!! ZAP!!::* I seem to recall something about passing electricity through metal, and this is even a "pulse" same effect just one way we look really creative.

4. Malc should say something more ambigous like "I hope so." He's a computer whiz, he must have been aware of the chance that HAVOC backed himself up someplace.

5. We should probably start off the chapter with Nate destroying or atleast confirming the computers at the lair and house to be HAVOC free.

6. In th end HAVOC was still testing Nate, this was a high stakes, dangerous test but it was a test none the less and from HAVOC's point of view it should be treated as such. The first test was obviously to figure out what had happened. *I think perhaps we should add a snippet to Ch.7 where Nate realizes and acknowledges that it was HAVOC before he gets the email. Essentially he passed phase 1*

Phase 2 consists of being able to find HAVOC, which is why there were whatever clues you decide to put in.

Phase 3 consists of being able to defeat HAVOC. If we use the side of the hospital that IS inhabited it is effectively testing KC's ability to minimize collateral damage while still making the "right" decision.

sorry, i'd like to point out that things may be quiet on my end for the next few days//week, as I am going to a mates, and to do my uni resits.

I apologise for the delay, I have only just (yesterday) got back from somewhere which had almost no internet connection.

I should have an episode plan or 2 up in a small while.

No apologies needed, you warned us that you would be away for a few days up to a week like last Sunday. I didn't want to be rude and poke you on exactly the seventh day but I figured today was far enough out to safely bump.

Apologies if it's not what Beth's original character envisioned. from what i have seen, KC also appears to be nearing completion and tbh i'm liking it so far.
