Need help with xmas present ideas

I don't ask for or expect much in the way of gifts. But, for example, I love jewelry. I'm be much more impressed with something that was handcrafted than something purchased in a store.

My sweetheart is a tech/gadget junkie. Back in the spring, he sent me a Nook for "no particular reason." Every once in a while, he'll send me a book or a juicy story he wrote just for me. It's the gift that keeps on giving ... and the e(rotic)-stories he writes for me are the most awesome gifts of all!

I have two daughters-in-law to-be. They both like getting gift boxes of scented lotions, soaps, etc. I usually try to get them a set that's a little more exclusive than the kinds of things they would get for themselves.

Several years ago, my oldest asked for satellite radio. I renew his subscription every year.

Another winner! Satellite radio subscription! A great idea. Thank you!

I just went and found the box. It was from the Fess Parker winery in Santa Ynez. That makes me smile.

cool....he passed not long ago...I am not sure that winery is still in business....I thought I heard it was closing down (but it might have been the restaurant only)....

I think it was two years ago. Winery is still opened, I have a friend that works there! I think descendants now run it.

I am big on kitchen items for gifts so for my sister in law this year I got her a nice set of Bamboo Wooden Spoons and a matching cutting board set

One other year I did a family movie night basket ... Went and got a big bowl for popcorn and then put some candy boxes you can get for a dollar at like Walgreens, a nice fuzzy warm blanket to curl under, some popcorn, and a gift card to local movie rental

For my nieces they are super into crafts so I did a craft basket for them one year got a rubbermaid tote and filled it full of anything they could cut glue or color with on or whatever they loved that

I have a friend of mine that we never get enough time together so one year I gave her a restaurant gift cert, a movie gift cert and a sweater... and told her to wear the sweater when we went on our girls day out.

My uncle since I was born called me his little angel and every year he would get me some type of angel some of them are cute, some funny, all of them are very sentimental so you could do something like that start a type of gift you give every year.

Collect some favorite images of your son...include a few where you are also in the photo doing something you enjoy.

Send them off to a self publisher...have it bound as a book.
