Staples has WD HD's on SALE granted it's with a mail in rebate but stilll... 160gig 7200 speed, 8mb cache...for $49.98!
Granted it's $87.98 laid out at time of purchase and the 250 gig is $129 something... to shell out the forty or not... or keep going for the 500 gig for $219?
Ohhhh my head spins for the idea of a terrabyte in my compy.

Can you live with a Seagate? OfficeMax has a 300GB internal, ultra-ATA 7200 RPM, 16MB cache for $99.98 - no mail-in rebates!

Spins said:I was just reading an article on yahoo! News (yes I know it's saturdya night) and there was an interesting comment on Monopoly.
This toy guru concluded that if Monopoly was released as a new product today that it would fail miserably.
I started thinking about this and I think he might be right.
I saw a commercial for a Clue board game that relied on the tv/dvd player to create the mystery, etc.
There were CG characters and funny voices and all that jazz. It's bad enough they replaced the little coloroed pegs with cardboard cutouts!
This saddens me, believe it or not.
So, umm, yeah![]()
I didn't get to play Clue until my 23rd birthday. I always wanted Battleship too but I never got it. Mouse Trap was awesome though.lil_squirter said:I was always Miss Scarlet, I loved that lil red peg.
I also had electronic battleship. Except my brother kept chewing all the pegs and we wound up have to substitute them with light brite pegs. Most colorful sea battles ever.
Spins said:As the king of all that spins my thoughts on this are as follows.
Rebates are fools gold, but hard to resist.
Also we must weigh your need for an extra 160 gigs vs your need for 500 gigs?
Then we must calculate your disposable income.
My fee will be 94 or a collectable statue.
Get back to me![]()

And as for HD, I believe Yang is suggesting a wise course of action.
While having a terabyte HD would win you many a nerd's respect, is that better than owning 5 200 gig-ers?
I have an odd question for the nerd community.
There is a nerd boxing competition coming up in two months, and I being the dumbass that I am, signed up.
I'm about 6', 160 lbs, and not in bad shape.
Not terribly strong though.
My opponent is my best friend and fiercest rival.
He's also 6', but closer to 220 lbs.
I need a way to knock him down.
Suggestions on training/technique/tactics?
Spins said:I'm a military man myself. Col. Mustard all the way!
My electric battle ship is around here somewhere, i think. Brilliant idea using the light bright pegs!
I stopped playing Battleship once I got PTO.
Doubt anyone knows what that is![]()
Spins said:I can't tell. I'm too embarrassed because I eneded up buying the damn thing <sighs>
The best way , the only way relaly assuming this is a "fair and regulated" fight is to let him swing at you as many times as he can thus tiring him out.
Now, normally this would involved allowing him a lot of body blows to you, but as you have no body to blow you'll need to dance around and not let him connect.
Once he is tired then he'll have problems holding up his hands to cover his face and you pound the shit out of him.
Train for stamina and not strength.
SexyCleric said:Phantasy Star Online?
SexyCleric said:Huh.
My only question; can I giggle hysterically while avoiding his fists.
You know...
To confuse him into making a mistake.
SexyCleric said:Seriously though, Spins, what was the statue of?
I mean, of all the threads, this is perhaps the last one to worry about being embarrassed on...
Spins said:If someone can tell me the answer to what PTO is I shall give the answer!

"Sir! SIR! I am telling you they took my invention and used it without my permission! I patented that 3 bladed razor back in the oughts!"
Player A you must choose an action.
A) tell the person that you will look into it.
B) Inform him that you are not a lawyer
C) Ask for a boat load of cash and stripeprs in order to "process" his claim faster
D) hit the man with a shovel.
Waiting...waiting...
SexyCleric said:DDDDDDDDDDDD!
RavenousRae said:Hmm I'd have chosen C myself.

SexyCleric said:And you, my dear, would not have finished the round with a Hyper Combo Finish!
