I want a sword, with a white rose entwined around the pommel, greenery wrapping around the length of the blade.. and to top it off, my birthstone embedded in the cross guard.

This would be down the entire length of my spine, starting just below my neck, where I can still hide it with a shirt.

That is quite elaborate. I bet that would be expensive. How long would that take to do?

I've also considered getting the star pattern of Orion where the actual starpoints would stand out, but the body would be much more fleshed out.

I'm not sure, I've not seriously inquired about it.. but it would probably have to be done in two to three sessions.. One at least for the outline, one for the colour.

I asked a guy in passing about a price, he said over 300 dollars.

Both my tats, and the next two I plan to get at "feline" related. Then my final one, which will be quite elaborate and is gonna be a bitch (i.e. 12 hours plus) will be a tarot card. All will be located on my back/ shoulders.

a 78 card deck divided into 2 basic sections.

Minor Arcana: Runs of 4 suits (Rods or Staves or wands, Swords, Pentacles and Cups) 1-14, 56 cards in all

Major Arcana: Escentially the face cards, 22 cards. Each corrosponding to something specific. Sometimes the Major Arcana are seen as the Power Cards and generally denote important bits in a reading.


Each card has a specific meaning both inverted and right side up, and dependant on position in the lay of cards and the cards crossing or surrounding it can dramatically affect the meaning of the card for the particular person being read.

The Fool or Hanged Man would best be equated to the Joker in a modern deck.

I thought about getting the Empress, and I've considered getting the Fool. In the past, the Fool was the card that represented me, and the Empress was the card I most wanted to represent me. In the last reading I had, I was the Hermit (as soon as he drew it, I cackled hysterically, then had to sigh as it describes my life and personality a bit too honestly).

Don't I know it. So I just finished watching the documentary called Word Play, about the NT Times Crossword Puzzle, it was pretty neat. There was a 20 year old kid that was just insane. He looked strikingly like The Cleric .
