Lil: to answer your question about names will show my complete and utter lack of imagination. Microbiology is the shorthand version of my major (molecular and cellular biology)... 311 was my dorm room number my freshman year of college.

I used to have a yahoo id of Coyoteugly311 but that got stolen so I started using this one and just kept it for everything.

*hangs head in shame.. i'm so boring*

You are NOT boring! I think you are amazingly bright and talented to be in such a major and you still manage to keep the nerd ball rolling here with us to. So none of that boring or unimaginative stuff!

ah hell. While I'm here I'll answer that name too.Lady Reiha is simply taken from the anime "Vampire Princess Miyu". Miyu's ally and competitor. "Reiha" is a cute snow demon and has the power to control snow and ice. She hates mortals and often hides her true feelings to people. She bears a mark on her forehead symbolizing the word "cold". Reiha's father was a guardian Shinma (they're in charge of keeping The Guardian-which is Miyu, safe) and died while trying to protect her from the Bird Clan. This left Reiha an orphan because her mother had already died. The reason for her anger is because the last word her father spoke happened to be "Miyu", so I guess what resulted was her confirmation that he cared about Miyu more.
While in the woods, she stumbles upon a Shinma and witnesses the death of a human at the hands of that Shinma. Reiha's mother appears and tells her she is a "snow lady" (or should I say bratty little child); hence, her powers appear and pity the person who angers her. Also, before he died, her father told her that her doll(that she always carries around) was to protect her.So basically. Reiha is kind of like myself. I don't really like to open up to people, and often hide alot of things. I'm trying. But only very few know what I'm really like. Hopefully one day I will get over this..and try to warm up to people

Well, amongst the Canon DSLRs, only the 1D and 5D series have full-frame sensors. The 20D and 30D and the Rebels, closer to my budget (though, at present, still horrifically over it) have smaller sensors, with a 1.6x multiplier, IIRC.

The K10D is a 10MP camera, with built-in anti-shake and a self-cleaning sensor, and a weather-sealed body. And it's $200 cheaper than the EOS 20D, which means I can afford to pick up a descent 75-300 lens to make up for the fact that the one I have for my rebel won't work with the K10D.
Yes, but what's the sensor size on it? I don't wanna go look it up :p

I know how you feel Tol. I miss Chronie, and I'm really missing my parents. *sigh* and I'm not even going to celebrate Christmas this year. I got asked to work a Pharmacy shift and a fucking shift at the Funeral Home. I hate this..

23.5 x 15.7 mm sensor, or what they call an "APS-C" sized sensor.
Thanks :)

When I ever go digital I'll be getting one with a full frame sensor, but only due to laziness. I don't want to have to adjust to anything new again. The change over from point & shoot to SLR was already enough for me at the moment (especially going from digital to film)

I work two jobs Vessy.

1. I work as a supervisor at Shopper's Drug Mart ( so I switch from working stock to post office to being a pharmacy assistant.)

2. I work at a funeral home as a secretary. I also help out in prepping for cremation of bodies or embalming. On occasion I also direct- but that is strictly for school.

The traditional ideals of "male" and "female" professions seem to hold up
as far as dateability. 88% of men would date a nurse, compared to only 69% of women. Similarly, air-hostesses were considered twice as dateable as female pilots. Women consider doctors (92%), lawyers, architects and property agents (all 89%) the most dateable professions, interesting that they're also the highest paid professions included in the survey.

The survey shows that for women there is a clear discrepancy between
professions that are sexy and those that are dateable ... While male
lawyers are considered highly dateable, law is not considered a sexy profession. Conversely, while the majority of women considered male models sexy, they "wouldn't date one", says Liv Judd, FastLife Events Manager. "The men's results showed a much closer relationship between 'sexy' and 'dateable', with models, nurses, air-hostesses and dancers all featuring highly on both scales".

A recent poll conducted by international online dating giant www.lavalife.com
found that on the sexiness scale, men rated doctors and nurses (50%) over athletes (21%), bartenders (17%) and firefighters (12%). Women clearly preferred firefighters, with an overwhelming 70% of women indicating firemen as their top pick. Women voted bartenders the least sexy (7%), followed closely by athletes (11%) and doctors/nurses (12%).

"We're not surprised by this result. There's something irresistible about
a man in uniform with a big hose", says Lori Miller, Lavalife Marketing
Manager. The poll of 18,852 singles asked respondents to vote for which
profession screams sexy out of firefighters, doctor/nurse, bartenders and athletes.

I'm guessing my profession(s) aren't sexy :p
