Actually, that is alluding to a movie made in the 80's. Movie was called Real Genius starring Val Kilmer and Gabriel Jarret. Basically the characters in the movie made a laser that could be shot from space and utilizing a rotating targeting mirror should have been able to vaporize a target from space.

And saying spoon, not exactly what you mean by that unless you are refering to the Reject Cartoons... which are quite funny.

I find it hard to break into those Nerd/Geek groups and meet people (especially Nerd/Geek ladies). Maybe I don't come off Nerdy or Geeky enough for them or perhaps that I have to carry a certain look for them to even bother talking to in the first place.

It is kind of sad if you really think about it, I mean, I love having these strange conversations about education, politics, video games, anime and no one to do so with

She could walk 30 blocks on her hands and knees and tied to a leash. Its all about expression and I can dig it.

Tho, hopefully she wears some kind of knee protection and gloves... the streets aren't exactly the cleanest things

Now that I think about it, I have been finding that a lot of Nerds/Geeks are into bondage... I wonder how prevalent that is?

Actually, the carving your name in the moon thing WAS a reference to The Tick on my part. One of the villians on the show built a superlaser so he could do just that. His plot was foiled when the laser was destroyed partway through spelling his name. Whenever they showed the moon on the show after that, it continued to have the first two and a half letters of his name carved in it. "Spoon!" is the Tick's nonsequiter battlecry.

That said, Real Genius was a great movie. "Why aren't you..." "Making out? I'm not gay!"
