Um.. I've been playing Final Fantasy since NES.. I beat 1 well over a hundred times before I finally got some new games (but then I continued to play it anyways)

Upon owning a SNES, I never did get to buy FF4, but I beat it at a friends house. I owned FF6 (and have it again on PS1) and beat that at least 50 times as well.

I despised FF7, was really disappointed in it and considering it's the reason I made the switch from Nintendo to Sony.. well..

FF8 was great eye candy, but didn't like the monster system. Beyond that it was okay-ish

FF9 was hella fun, loved that they toned down the graphics a bit and made it more comical over realistic.

FF10 is still my favourite for overall gameplay and storyline. However, I've found that I can't play it through the same amount of times as I could the earlier games. All my characters start being the exact same and that bores me. I'm not a fan of forcing myself to be weaker just to make the game more exciting, so I don't limit what my characters can do.

FFX-2... no comment

FF12.. YUM :) Lovely graphics, decent story line, great game play

REALLY looking forward to when I can afford a PS3 and get my hands on FF13.. Love all the screenshots I've seen

Lesson 2: Let your mages do their jobs! Don't equip the Dia or light spells to your white mages. Let your Black mage cast fire on undead; more cost efficient. And for the love of all that is lawful, don't use red mages. Useless.
How about blue mages? :)

Not common enough in all their games, in my opinion. I like monster lore stuff.

FF6 is still way up there in my list. All the different characters was fun. Gau and Strago very much fulfilled the Lore requirements.

And yes, I know I missed out on 2, 3 and 5.

I own 5 as well, but can't say I've actually gotten to the end of it. I do enjoy it, just never have the patience to bother with it :p

2 and 3 I've not played.. well, an untranslated ROM of 2.. but not for very long

ETA: And I swore off Nintendo products after I switched to Sony, so I've not played any of the games for any of the newer Nintendo platforms.

*pouts* I missed a FFX discussion?! I LOVE FFX (along with with others). GAH I hate this! lol
The question is, did you like FFX-2? That says a lot about a person...

Your profile says design work for the GTA? GTA, as in Toronto?

Don't worry. Apocalypses happen every year or two. The Powers that Be and Wolfram and Hart make sure of it <nods>

When I'm around you, Spins, I find myself needing to know the plural of apocalypse. :D

Tols, my deepest apologies for leaving you out of my faculty...

9 and 10 are still my faves. I have yet to beat the original, owing to a faulty NES cartridge that caught the business end of a 5-iron shortly after erasing my data.

X-2...gotta love some of the costumes, at least...

Hmm...Fine, I admit, I didn't think this whole thing through. I was just trying to get some alone time with the Empress. *shrugs*

Welcome to the club.

I still say 4 had one of the most interesting story lines though.. I didn't play it through more than once, and it was a rather lengthy time ago.. so my opinion might've changed.. dunno.. will have to play it again some time

Guess I should take a number. Ah well...

So what was your favorite of the series?
6 from the main series, and Tactics is my favorite game of all (the original Playstation one).

I've played most of them, except 3, but my sisters have it and I want to get it as soon as I have some money. :p I've beaten 1, 4, 6, 9, and 10. Not a big fan of 2 or 7. I really need to pick up 5 again, and I'm right at the end of 8, just have to finish it. My main problem is that I have to find everything before I beat the game. Learn all the spells, get the best items, etc. That's why I haven't gotten past disc 1 of FF7. I want to get Aeris's ultimate Limit Break. I haven't played many of the spin offs like Chocobo Dungeon, Chocobo Racing, Dirge of Cerberus, etc. I have played Ehrgeiz, Crystal Chronicles (huge disappointment), and both Tactics games. I have Mystic Quest on ROM.

I love Ogre Battle as well. Ogre Battle 64 is my second favorite game next to FFTactics.

Ogrebattle: March of the Dark Queen is my all time favourite game. Much prefer it over Ogrebattle 64, or Tactics Ogre.

Ehrgeiz was fun, I liked all the mini-games. It was actually a pretty decent fighting game, which is rare for me to say :p

But yes, you certainly pass the FF:Nerd questionaire ;)

Well, it does have Final Fantasy in the title. I just said I had it on ROM, didn't say I liked or played it.
