Nerd Power!

[whatupcthulhu]

Nerds. =] I feel at home here.

[Trombonus]

Hey fellow nerds!

Just wanted to check in and let you all know that I'm not dead. Just been extremely busy.

Miss ya!

[rhyst_hatchyk]

Nihao nerds!

poster, anyone ever tell you that your AVs just get better and better?

In other news, I just moved into a bigger dorm. It is nice, but I need a way to safely run aboyt 10-15 feet of phone or network cord across a room so I can connect my computer to the interwebz.

Under or close to the baseboard by the wall is always good. Running it around the edge of the room so nobody trips on it.

[rhyst_hatchyk]

*tackle huggums*

You can snuggle an anime girl pillow too if you want ^^

*has been tackle-huggumed*

Oof.

Hey, have you ever heard of an anime called Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei?

[Texguy84]

Under or close to the baseboard by the wall is always good. Running it around the edge of the room so nobody trips on it.

The oh-so-clever-it-had-to-be-amazingly-simple solution, as someone suggested, was the run the cord straight across the floor, and cover it with duck tape. We'll see how long that stays in place.

So, it turns out that phone cord is like, rediculously cheap. I'm talking 25 feet of the stuff for less than dinner at McDonalds cost me afterwards.

I got a few hundred feet of ethernet cable for free a couple weekends ago. We're using it to set up a LAN party.

And the reason I suggested running it around the boards was so nobody would trip on it, and it looks neater and doesn't get glue or anything on the floors

[Texguy84]

Actually, I managed to make a pretty straight line out of it, so chances are, if a sergeant notices it, they might even just assume it's something that's supposed to be there. Otherwise, they'll probably just see that one of their airmen was smart enough NOT to leave a tripwire waiting to take a room-inspecting NCO down.

So, in other news, I bought a webcam. Anyone want to videochat? Preferably one (or many! ) of the hot nerd girls, but hey, any excuse to use the thing.

[SexGuyAZ]

Hooray for this thread!

Lets see qualifications:

70 Priest / Rogue on WoW
70 Warrior EverQuest (retired)
Xbox 360 HDMI - Halo 3 / DMC4 / GTA4 (on reserve)
PS2
Haven't been laid for way too long

Does this make me a nerd!? That last one I just had to throw in for stereotypical purposes of the "high school" nerd/dork/geek persona. Sadly its true though!

Unfortunately, what July is to Spins, so too is February is to the Cleric.
I remain dead, but ever watchful.
