Not always. Beefy long-hairs are almost always sexier, but the thin ones can be nice, too. Still, there is no always or never. Baldies can be sexified, too.

So, once again, I am all screwed up in the head because of a girl. Female Army friend, has a problem going on, what we in college used to call "drama". due to the nature of this drama, there is effectively absolutley nothing I can do to help her besides being passively available for her to talk to. It is hitting the fan for her right now, and I just wish I could stand in front of the fan for her, but there is really nothing I can do for her there, and it is driving me insane.

You and some more of her friends need to kidnap her to dinner or a park or somewhere moderately nice. Throw a party for her. Nothing fancy or expensive, just something like a birthday party, jr. She needs to be reminded that she is loved, cared for, and has a support network (even if it's just you) who will go to bat for her at the utterance of a word: help. Remind her that to you, she's special and doesn't deserve anything that will make her unhappy.

If all else fails, try OpenOffice, which is free, though you have to change an option somewhere to make it save things as DOC by default.
