Good morning

Still feeling drained from yesterday. I was up at 3am yesterday morning, and did more than my share of crying throughout the day. I think part of me was scared something might happen. After a good night's sleep, I'm feeling better today. I'm sorry I didn't post about it sooner, but I wanted to get through the day first. We had a tree planting ceremony at work, and we invited the volunteer firefighters, a couple of which work for the company. It made me think of when my dad was a firefighter. He never told me about the fires and rescues he went on, probably so as not to scare me. I honestly believe he would still be doing it. But he fell one afternoon, injuring his knees, when I was about 7 years old. At that age, you really can't conceive of the danger these men and women face every day. But on September 11, it became real to everyone in this country. I stopped by a volunteer ambulance company on my way home, and thanked all of them for the wonderful, courageous job they do day in and day out. I have never been more proud to be a citizen for this country.

Yes, it is beautiful weather out there. When we reach our high temp. for the day, it will be perfect. Well, almost perfect. Perfection comes when I have someone to share the day with. Whaddya say... TJ? Sueann? ********? Angel? Bueller?

The morning started off auspiciously though. I was in the bathroom getting dressed after my shower (yes, that was for gratuitous visual effect) when I saw a hole in my shirt. And my first thought was, "Damn! There's a hole in my shirt!" But then I realized it was a button hole.

Have a good day everyone. With luck, I'll be able to poke in from time to time, now that my new PC at work has most of its reinstallations done. Then maybe I can use this new census data to figure out where all the wealthy, single, and looking girls are hiding in Massachusetts.

The wind we had yesterday already took some of them down. By the way, I'm looking into places I want to visit if I go to NYC at the end of the month, and it looks like I will. Since you've been there a few times this year, do you have any suggestions?

But I can't resist a map reference seeing as how I occasionally make them as part of my job and seen more Geography-type classes than you can shake a stick at. I put a map I made on one of my webpage temporarily.... if interested lemme know.

Ridemcowgirl: Is the cooler weather making everyone sleepier these days?? I know it's much better than those 80 degree nights. Will have to crack out the flannel sheets and down comforter soon.
