Thanks Jess.

Hope to be around awhile.
Reading the posts above, I take it that you have submitted a story/poem something.
I'm interested.
Where would I find it?

Thanks.

My ex husband served in Viet Nam @ Da Nang in the mess tent...:)

Edited to add: I also had two uncles who served in 'Nam...one in actual combat (exposed to Agent Orange) and the other was in the office (could have been mail)....

Takes Jess's hand and kisses it

Thank you, you truly are a lady.

I know about what you are refering to with your husband, I was still in training at the time but I heard the stories from those who were there.

ummm...it was a JOKE? ok?

you DID see me SMILE when I said that...didn't you?

and I DO know that about ANY gift...the unfortunate thing is, one can keep giving that sort of gift to those who are not worthy of it.
Therein lies the rub, dear Lady. One must consider WHOM they give the precious gift TO. *solemn face*

AB

it was pretty overwhelming I guess. he got out soon after that.. and became a state trooper

Jess, I can understand that. I have met many combat vets. Most are changed from what they once were, and very will talk about it.
