I'm put off by having religion brought into a story. The catholics will feel they are being picked on.

Don't like pain or spanking either.

Don't want unwilling participants involved.

Years ago the stories ended with death of the father or taking him off to jail, which yanked threader out of the mental images they were enjoying.

Religion in a story can be a real turn on if it is not used as a means to attack someone's faith.

The sexual tension created by a religious family struggling with their strict moral code, and the unrelenting temptation to release their deeply suppressed sexual desires for one another can be the basis for a build up to extremely hot sex scenes in a story.

The story progression usually has repetitive scenes that gradually peel away the inhibitions slightly. More stimulation is introduced and enjoyed as it seems to be an identifiable pattern with out own loss of inocence.

The first kiss grows into more until french kissing is involved. The arm across the back of the theater seat is planned to drop down and make contact with her shoulders about the middle of the movie.

The first touch of a breast is with great fear of arrest and the shock of her not objecting violently is never anticipated.

The goal was to change the plot from plotting by the son on how to get past his mothers objections if he wanted to see her nude etc.

When the mother initiates the interest, the burden is how to get her son gradually become exposed to her nudity with no concern about this being upsetting to his Mom.

Making him responsible for helping her with her health problems removes any reservations about participation as he is led to incest.

More Imagination

This is a test to see if it shows up after all these years.

The nicest strategy is to have unexpected exposure like when no one is home and the baby sitter video monitor picks up the motion of the son reading his magazine while stroking. What is a mother to do?

Medical problems that require unusual assistance because it is awkward to do it by yourself. After a hysterectomy the single mom needs larger and larger medically designed dildoes/plugs to open up her vagina again for use to continue a love life at least daily.

I've read the thread with interest - and find myself intrigued by the original suggestion concerning the mother's seeking of third party involvement to 'bring her son to incest'.

It strikes me that this would be possible.

I appreciate the idea regarding 'doctor's advice' as this would give a pleasant 'prim and proper' route to go down. I would suggest a second possibility giving the same effect:

The scheming mother might possibly concoct the idea of urging her son to seek hypnosis therapy - for example in respect of stopping smoking or suchlike. Meanwhile, she could seduce the only such therapist in the one-horse town and blackmail him into planting post-hypnotic thoughts into her son's mind...

I know little about hypnosis but it seems to me this would be a feasible, fictional scenario, especially if combined with your idea about 'rubbing medication' advice from a standard medic.

A story I read had the mother and son coming together by accident.

The son arrives home late and the mother enter his room to tell him off and they end up arguing, the son then pushes his mother and as she over balances she grabs at her son and they both end up on his bed, then the son goes into auto-pilot.

That sounds pretty good. I take it that there would be 'side rooms' to the masked ball event..?

Seems to me the details could well be worked out fairly simply, especially in the confines of a story. We could have son humping mother without much trouble, as would be her plan.

In fact, couldn't this scenario be used to set up almost any incest situation?

Engineering an accident

It needs to be the unexpected that isn't taken into account that gives away the fact that the son or Mom is interested in peeking at the other.

Outside on a summers night, son is watching through a hole or opening between the drapes that cover the window. The shears are something he can see thru but the drapes light up with his shadow due to passing car lights or lightning flashes.

The mirror under the door can be seen when the next room has too much light or the sun is shinning behind the peaker.

The key hole is gone now so when the light thru the key hole went away it was because someone was looking.

In the 40's heat was only in half the rooms in the house with drapes across doorways instead of doors. They were coarse and could be seen thru when the eye was very close. The lights from behind cast a shadow on the drape easily seen from the other side.

The door would rattle a little when his head went against it to look through the crack in the door panel.

Mom always puts her stuff in order in her drawer and knows when the dildo faces the wrong way that someone has moved it. The nude pictures of her are suddenly in the wrong order or some are missing.

They are both visiting and must sleep in the same room. He came in earlier, his eyes are adjusted to the dark. He can see very well when she enters and strips off her clothing and even does a lot of rubbing to herself well before falling asleep. I took the OP to mean that the mother is the schemer in the story. The son is just a normal and red-blooded hetero who may - or may not - respond to a situation involving her overtly.

I thought it was necessary to engineer a scenario where he might end up between his mothers legs without realising the truth of the situation. Hence my post #35.

I believe I read a story a year or two ago where mother's or step mother's boyfriend he never met poses as a convict that escaped prison and forces mother and son to have sex. Mom invented it and near the end reveals the truth, wanting the relationship to continue

Yes, good thought. You'd then have to work out exactly how son approaches mother with her knowing all along what he's doing and pretending prim-and-properness - but that's a different issue.

As regards the blackmail 'material', surely that could be invented to suit the story. Most parents know something about their own children which might be used.

I did read the thread. I'm just saying, most men might have difficulty getting it up when they're in mortal danger. I was disagreeing with post I had quoted as not being plausible. That was one of the things that the original poster had requested.
