I like the new page quite a bit, thanks. Would it be possible to add the ability to like someone else's comment?

Under Story Info there's a "Tag" icon, click on that to see the tags. There's also a clock icon with estimated time to read.

We plan to add a fully expanded comment page for every story in the future.

I agree with your comment that there is no reason for both "Show More" and "Read More". Once someone clicks "Show More" they should not need to also click "Read More" on the longer comments. I'll look into fixing that in a future release.

It's not so much having to click both of them, but having to click "Show more" multiple times. If there are 100+ comments, you have to click "Show more" 20 times! The "read more" on an individual comment is a minor nuisance compared to that.

I changed my option to accept beta testing and tried saving... Alas it would not save after repeated attempts.

I like this feedback forum and the options you offered.

When I went to the options page it thought I wanted to change my password so I had to make sure the change password field in my options was empty.

Once I did that i was able to save and see the new format

I wish I could

click on the word balloon that lists the number of comments given.....and be hotlinked to the actual comments instead of scrolling through the last page of text. Sometimes I like to read the comments first

I use Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
My problem is that in the last week or so, I can log in to the site but my "favourites" (stories, authors etc) will no longer load.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I notice the 'similar stories' doesn't include the name of the author. I first click on the author to see when the story was written and what else they have written. So please but the author's name back with the 'similar stories'.

Terrific

I really like the new format. It's much more readable on my phone and on my laptop. The only thing that seems to be missing is the ability to give a title to a comment on a story.

I like the tags and story description showing at start of the story. Great change.
But the basic layout is the same which has always been the main problem. The advert stretches so far that the story is bunched up on the left half of my screen. Can it all be rearranged that the story can be full screen width. Move the info and tag stuff to above the story and alter story window width to match the advert window.
I have to use the story reader in my browser software to change the story to full screen size, and it allows me to change text format to larger font so I can actually read it. This also wraps the lines allowing nice sized fonts.
If these cannot be changed then having ability to go to next page at top of story would be good.

White Space

I'd like to be able select Tags as part of my settings.
That way, I wouldn't have to select it for every story I look at.
I agree with previous comments to include Lit. page count at top.
One big issue I have with it is all the white space. I'm basically forced to scroll down to see items that very easily could be one one screen.

I just started reading my first story. I am scrolling and scrolling because of all the white space. I'm opting out to get a decent amount of text per screen.

I like the new format and especially the way the next page loads so quickly. I also like the "stories like this" at the end of the story. However, in the old format, you could double click the body of the story and it would fit itself to the width of the tablet page. Then when you turned the tablet 90 degrees, the font would enlarge to again for the width of the tablet. I really liked the larger font, as I didn't need reading glasses to be comfortable reading. The new format won't do that and has to be manually resized. However, it is nice that the next page retains that size. Overall, I find the new format a very positive upgrade.

Really Really hate the web cams at the top of the page! Thankfully you included a "close" tab. Out ads at the bottom where they belong please.

Cell Phone Screen

This new format is harder for me to read on my cell phone screen, (I have a large LG phone). Had to change my accessibility settings to a larger print.
I also agree that the "Author" should Not be added when you "Favorite" a story. I certainly don't love all an authors stories.

I read Lit on my iPad using the Safari browser with the Reader app. Once I reach page 2, Reader no longer works - it takes me back to the first page. To finish reading I can’t activate Reader.

There is an improvement I’d like to see. In order to navigate pages in the story you need to go to the bottom of the page. It’d be nice if there were either a way to go directly to the bottom or else if the navigation tools were also at the top of the page.

Not A Fan

I am disappointed in the new look Beta page. The fonts are far too big and the spacing leaves much to be desired. I'm sorry but it makes the story page look juvenile. I hope that when the beta testing is finished I will have the option of choosing which page I would like to I prefer.

Just a note on the difficulty of making everyone happy. The above two comments are requesting the exact opposite, bigger and smaller text.

Are you seeing behavior where an author is added to your Followed list automatically when you Favorite a story? That should not happen. One other user reported the same thing, but we have not be able to track it down here.

Can you let me know what browser you are using and where you are clicking on the page?

Oh, i a work around for this one! What you have to do is exit reader when you finish page 1, go to page 2, then reload page 2 and open Reader.

We aren't yet sure why Reader is treating the new pages differently, but we are looking into it.

Overall I think the pages are easier to read and are more gentle on the eyes. The reading time feature I would guess is an average of some sort. It's okay, but perhaps a word or page count feature would be more helpful.

Unable to rate

I was reading Sister Golden Hair Delight CHAPTER 22 on the second page part of the text disappeared. While I was finally able to finish reading at the end I was unable to rate it. I had to turn off the option to rate the chapter.

New reading page is great!

It is especially useful on phone and when reading mode is not available in browser.

I like the concept of adding a bookmark or add to reading list, but cannot find how to find the list of stories that have been added to the list. This would be most helpful when switching platforms or computers.
