New Milestones Thread

I can only hope. I know I'm asking a lot for Lit readers to commit to lengthy, ongoing stories, especially when it takes a few thousand words before clothes start coming off
One factor is that you've been writing one long series. Many readers won't bother to click on anything that says "Chapter 2", let alone "Chapter 10", if they haven't read Chapter 1.

Writing another, unrelated story will broaden your audience immensely. The readers that like your style will look at your long series, and if they like it they'll keep reading.

Personally, for related stories that are self-contained and don't necessarily form a single story, I try to avoid calling them "chapters". For example, "Flesh for Fantasy", "Flesh for Another Fantasy" and "Flesh for A Third Fantasy". If I ever write another in that series, it will probably be called "Flesh Four Fantasy" or even "Flesh 4 Fantasy".

I can only quote John Lee Hooker:

I heard poppa tell momma, let that boy boogie-woogie. Cuz it's in him and it's got to come out

What I've written and will continue to pen will be what's rattling around my brain and demanding expression. Whoever comes along for the ride, so be it.

And more power to you!

Too bad the ship has sailed already on "2 Flesh 2 Fantasy."

Hope springs internal. I have hope of losing my fat ass someday. To that end, I've begun an exercise program. The only problem with that is that exercise is hard fucking work! 😱

I only wrote 9 stories, and 4 of them have the same rating.

What are the odds of that? 17 thousand votes total on the four of them and all the same result.

It’s, like, freakin’ me out man.
A while ago I posted a thread that a quarter of my stories - 8 out of 31, I think it was at the time - were all rated 4.55 or 4.56. It's really one of those things that makes you wonder.

I lost a follower for the first time 😭

...Well, that's okay. Maybe my Geek Pride entry was just too cerebral for them. No biggie. I still have over 500 left 😊

How do you know, do you check the total all the time?

When I first came here we would see the red heart when someone followed us, and a broken heart if they unfollowed. Then the site decided that was "mean" and now you only get a notification if you get a new one.

I happened to hard-refresh a pinned tab with the admin panel and noticed the count drop. So it may not have been the first one but it was the first one I noticed.

Looking at the timings, BluOrchid probably had a wank after "Too Early Not to Fuck", so I'm guessing that's the hottest one
I like to think they had a little wank after each story, but after "Too Early" they needed to catch their breath for a moment.

This isn't quite the same as the @StillStunned's biggest fan, since it's clearly someone using the favorite button to bookmark my stories, but it still made me smile:

And yes, that's all of them, other than the 750-word joke vignette that I developed from nice90sguy's writing exercise.
