400 followers! After 7.5 years...

I was aiming for that by the end of last year, but not publishing anything after September scuppered that one. Also while I got near there 18 months earlier, the 80 or so new followers I acquired from writing an incest story almost all vanished after seeing my next five stories, back to the usual geeks with undertones of queer kink - or blatantly obvious kinky or queer sex...

I've managed to hang on to most of my I/T followers. But I sometimes get the idea that they didn't appreciate me writing in other categories. Every time I posted an I/T story all my other scores would go down.

I got criticised the other day for only having a 150 odd followers...but I have only been writing 2-3 years on lit.
This gives me heart that I am nearing 200 now.

It was a bit disheartening for a year or so, getting maybe 5 new followers from each story but still having less than I had the week before! Also I'm fairly sure that the more followers you get, the more your stories get promoted as 'similar stories' - and the more accurate that assessment is. I've had some 'similar' stories be listed below mine and honestly felt offended at the comparison! Now they're mostly in the same ballpark at least.

Heh. Maybe it's just as well I piss them off enough to go away! I suspect some do downvote my one I/T story, but with over 1000 votes the downward slide is very slow. As opposed to other stories failing to get 10 votes (glares at BDSM and Gay Male readers)...

Unwanted Memories is on the all-time top-rated Loving Wives list! This happened a little while back, but I wanted to wait until it climbed a little higher, just in case it dropped back off immediately. At #245 now; hopefully it'll stay there or go higher!

Got my highest score yet, at 4.8. Got me onto the first page of the last 30 days list, which made me happy. It wasn’t exactly literature, just a stroker I came up with while viciously grappling with the longer stuff I’m trying to write, but I’m proud of it nonetheless.

10 years after it was posted, my Office Wife story has recently reached 1 million views.

It’s a Loving Wives story, so the 4.58 rating from 13,300 votes makes me proud. It has 329 comments too (I deleted many crazy ones over the years).

I'm both proud of, and find it oddly ironic, that I have the most favorited story all time on lit that's NOT an incest story. It's a First Time romance.

Go figure.

I downloaded my story stats today, as I usually do on those Saturdays when I don't forget, and discovered I passed the one million views mark, probably just a few hours ago (1,000,069... heh heh heh). Even if only 10% of those views are actual reads, it is somewhat astonishing.

A story now has 40,000 views, according to Lit data on the Works page. Based on the responses in the forum thread on bot visits, it may be that 10,000 of those (or more? or fewer?) were clicks by bots, with no humans involved.

You have to look at the bright side and stay positive. If it were me, I'd say, "Those bots have good taste!"

Flesh for a Third Fantasy received its 100th vote!

Of course, by my calculations it was a 1, dragging the score from 4.7 to 4.66. Presumably the reader is in management and took offence at the idea that an employee might allow himself to be distracted from writing a report by the sight of his girlfriend receiving a happy ending massage.
