The third chapter is a bit about her life in the harem, and the rivalry. It is a slow budding romance story between the King and herself, but not if the King's favourite [or former favourite?] has anything to do with it.

The second and final installment of my story 'Something to Offer' was posted Thursday morning.

The story is told by Wendy, a middle-aged mother. As she watches her teenage daughter playing in the front yard, she realizes her little girl isn't so little anymore. The mother's thoughts drift back a generation, to her own coming of age, which she relates to the reader; a tale that ends with the daughter's conception.

The entire story is in the 20,000-word range, so I imagine it's a solid hour's read, at least. It is intended to be a story and not necessarily an aid to self-gratification. If anyone does take the time to give it a look, I would most appreciate any constructive comments, both positive and negative, public or private.
