Hello all. I've been reading here for a while, and finally got the nerve to begin submitting. I would love any advice you have - especially from those that have been writing for a while.

So far people here seem very friendly and supportive - which is what I would expect.

I just submitted my first story last night/this morning - and can't wait for it to be up. I'm eager for feedback.

Hmmm - a university student that goes out for a night on the town. Goes to a bar and picks up a guy - enjoys a long evening of sex.

Kinda vanilla by some standards here, but I'm sure I'll learn a lot while I'm here.

Sorry, couldn't help it - felt it might be a good example - and I'm probably incorrect anyway.

I'm not a writer, but I prefer to read things that have a 'flow' rather than mere grammatical precision. It seems cumbersome to have to avoid things such as ending sentences with prepositions.

The front office has to review thousands of submittals in a given week.

Is there some editorial/screening process involved?
Call me stupid, but this is how I learn.

Would NEVER call anyone stupid for asking a question - I ask plenty myself.

As you can see - I'm new here - but I have submitted my first story. Now I wait to find out if it is accepted. Once accepted - up it goes for the world to see. At least - that is my understanding thus far.

Since I'm a newbie - I'm probably not the most qualified to answer - but I sure wasn't going to leave ya hanging.

There is a screening process. Mostly, it is looking for underage sex and bestiality and excessive violence. The latter is quite subjective, and it depends somewhat on the category.
