New York roll call

starting to get a bit stir crazy. Actually got out a bit today to do something other than chop ice.. Another storm tomorrow? enough.. Thinking about getting tickets for a broadway show.. Saw Sting's Last ship a few weeks ago but it was the last performance (well second to last).. Any suggestions? I love Wicked but have already seen it 4 times..

I...

...saw "Book of Mormon" last summer... it was a lot of fun, lots of laughs.

The music wasn't bad, wasn't great either... then again it's a satirical musical, not a "true" musical, per se.

I'd like to catch Hedwig & the Angry Inch. Have a friend seeing Kinky Boots tonight, can pass along their review in a day or so. :)

Going to see a Sam Shepard play, way off-B'way later this month.

Isn't any better up here in Syracuse. So tired of the cold and snow. Keep the house heat cranked but just doesn't seem to get the damp chill outa the bones.
I need a sauna. With a few naked people in tit of course.

OK folks...looking for reliable weather for tomorrow in Cortland. Every place I look says something different. What's it doing up there?

12+ inches Sunday night is what I last heard. Usually I don't put much stock into the detail of winter weather reports. I just know in general bad weather is coming soon and to get prepared!

I just don't know if I want to risk it. If I leave there by 3pm I will be home by 6. But don't know if the weather will hold out that long.

Well looks like Mother nature is going to give us some more of that white gold....I so need to move to a much warmer climate :)

Thanks, Book of Mormon is on the list.. Love south park and anything those guys do.

I remember back in the days when I was single I'd just be headed out with my GFs to the bars at this hour !! Getting home just as the sun was coming up on a Sunday morning and sleeping in all day ..................... OHHHHH those were the days :)

Yep, might go to a friends apartment but never got to the bars before 11:00-11:30 in the old days but I still can do the sleeping in all day part on Sunday, and now without any sort of hangover.

I think my least favorite words at the moment are "wintery mix"… the fluffy white stuff is not so bad but ughhh what a mess this will likely be.

An amazing thing happened this morning. I woke up, looked out the window and there was no new snow on the ground! Imagine that...

Had to drive down to south jersey yesterday.. it was like the tropics compared to here.. no snow on the ground, light jacket.. and gas <$2 to boot.. maybe something to be said about this jersey place.. got home went to the Coli for another Isles win and woke up to 9 degrees outside.. back to reality.

-9 degrees. Of course, I'm cooped up inside where it's warm, but it's still unpleasant to think about!

Wow...

...it's pretty fuckin' brick out there, brrrr!

Ran out a little while ago to buy bagels and croissants.

I'm not heading out again unless I absolutely have to. Sorely tempted to use FreshDirect or Peapod this weekend, just so's I can stay put as much as possible!

And not only do you need all your layers today, but your sunglasses as well, it's super sunny, which is nice!

Somehow I remember the walk down from Penn Station to Union Square as being a but more enjoyable.. Maybe because it is freaking cold and windy rather than the spring.. So will just hunker down inside this coffee shop with my drink wondering if any of those walking past are litsters in their daytime disguises...

Brave man. I'm not going out today unless I have to. And you walked 20 blocks?

So them weather peoples...

...are saying currently it's a balmy 16 degrees, with a wind chill currently makes it feel like -2 and that those wind chills are going into the minus-teens as the day progresses and the sun sets.

We just walked 4 blocks, to and from the diner, and wow, you definitely aren't going to be strolling leisurely out there today! Anyone whose path we crossed, there was definite pep in their step, today is a "no dawdling outdoors" day, LOL.

I've got TMC on and it looks like a good day for alternating between surfing online, watching movies and getting some housework/paperwork done.

TMC's doing "Oscar Month" and has got The Blue Dahlia, The Maltese Falcon and Key Largo on deck today... *non-sexual squeals of delight!*
