New York roll call

Nwpa

I'm still figuring out this place so forgive me if I'm ignoring anyone.
Snowed more last night and now I'm on the verge of calling AAA. I'm only about 25 miles from the NY line but I won't see it for awhile but the roadtrip does sound interesting. I haen't dealt with anyone but the Everready Bunny in quite awhile.

Looking at a whole lot of snow in Upstate New York Sullivan County.

Capital District Newbie Here....

Welcome all.

I realize this is in the personal thread but would be nice if this was a place for NYers to come, relax, sit down, maybe grab a quick drink and share some thoughts, but oh that is just me and I am a little punch drunk from spending two more hours breaking up ice outside..
In any event, keep warm New York..

Morning all! Bundle up! I'm glad its Friday. Any plans for the weekend? I have lunch tomorrow with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in about a year. Then visiting family upstate in Sunday.

Going to be some significant snow this weekend.. Stay safe

Heard we were getting up to 8 inches between Sunday and Monday. Stay warm out there in these freezing temps.

Yep, I lived on the upper east side but only made it for 3 years, the next thing I knew I was married, with a house in the suburbs and a child on the way… those 3 years were a blur..

enough already with the snow.. I walked past my golf clubs this morning and it almost helped me remember what spring and summer are like..

One great neighborhood I found in recent years was the Lower Westside or Soho area :) If I were ever to live in Manhattan again this would be the area.

I'd be here every day for a stroll during the Spring and Summer.

Very nice areas. When the weather is nice, I occasionally walk from Wall Street up to Penn Station, taking a different route each time through the various neighborhoods..It is a long walk but always see something new and interesting.. so many choices, not sure where I would want to live if I were to move back to Manhattan or even Brooklyn (and assume this would be sans kids)

Brrr...

... I just walked a couple of blocks home from the gym... it's supposed to be 25 degrees and feeling like 14, but feels single digits to me!

Granted, it felt even colder what with being sweaty, but still, there's a rawness in the air, hurts to breathe too fast without a scarf covering your face.

And there's talk of rain for the weekend and more snow on Sun/Mon.

Oh well, whaddya gonna do, it's winter... hot buttered rum or spiked cider for everyone! I'm tempted to finish the last of the 'coquito' that's left that someone made for me... that's Puerto Rican egg nog, btw!

OK folks...looking for reliable weather for tomorrow in Cortland. Every place I look says something different. What's it doing up there?
