Ekserb: Great shots. She's very pretty. I liked the 2nd pic best - she looks kind of mischievous or cheeky there. If ever I was in your part of the world, I'll be sure to contact you. I'm sure you would be able to make me feel VERY pretty. ;) (insert "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story) :D

I happen to think everyone should have at least a few professional-quality photos for their own scrapbook. That doesn't mean they must be taken by a "pro," but it does mean that the average MySpace photo isn't the standard I'm talking about.

If you ever visit Miami, let me know. :)

I guess I'm going to keep this thread alive all by myself? What's up with that?

Took these last week while wheeling with my dad in Ocala Nat'l Forest. We started around the Wildcat Lake area and then crossed 40 toward the Juniper Springs canoe take out. Lots of "trail pinstriping" this day, though I didn't take any pictures in the tight sections.

We found a rope swing off the trail. No ... I didn't let go. :)

This is a small tributary of the Juniper Springs Creek:

This trail parallels Hwy 19 and ends near the canoe take out on Juniper Springs Creek:

Great pics Phil, thanks! I'll see what I can do to help.

Some more night time shots

It's been ages since I posted anything here.

I spent a few hours last night/this morning around St. Pauls and on the Wobbly bridge, a sample of the results are below.

Having the bridge almost deserted meant I could experiment with exposure, white balance and ISO settings. Anyone interested in comparing some examples, you can find them on the flickr site.

"The Wobbly Bridge." Hah! I love it.

We don't see enough of you here. These are all beautiful. I love the atmosphere of empty streets and walkways. So peaceful.

I have to agree with Phil, the atmosphere you've created here is remarkable. Excellent photography.

Cheers for the comments!

The "wobbly bridge" is, in reality, the "Millenium Bridge" but when it opened there were severe problems with balance and resonance caused by err, people walking over it! Hence it'll be known for generations to come as Wobbly!!

There are a lot more pics at my flickr site which is flickr.com/photos/rayb_uk

Very nice pics, Ekserb. I like how the colours look so crisp. :)

Somehow, this line made me think of the movie Titanic - the scene where Leonardo di Caprio (sp?) was freezing in the water and Kate W. told him not to let go.... Well, I'm weird that way. :D

Very nice pics! I hope you post here more often. :) I saw that bridge in a movie (was it Harry Potter 6 or 2012?) and it was indeed wobbly there. ;) Cheers!

I suspect the bridge has been in a few films - the City of London Authority is quite friendly towards film crews when it comes to shutting chunks of the City for filming.

Thank you for the comments.

St. Georges Day

A few from St. George's day celebrations at Leadenhall Market in the City of London.

You won't be able to hail this one in the streets, but it does get used for charity works.

Some views of Miami's Brickell neighborhood from the 37th floor (a friend was renting the place for a few weeks and I invited myself and my camera up to get some photos :)). I'm pretty sure I've shared one of these before now, but I'm not sure if it was this thread.

Just found this thread, and since I just got a new camera a few weeks ago, I'll be posting some pics as soon as the weather decides to give me a nice day to go out & about.

There's an amazing full moon out tonight, so I think I'm gonna test this camera out, and see what kind of shots I can get while I'm walking to the gym tonight.

If you don't mind, I may bug you for some editing points. The picture you posted of someone coming down the stairs, the one you took with your iPhone, is just incredible!

I don't mind. I can only promise that I'll try to be helpful.

Yes Phil, I agree with you, the rain shower has added a lot to the mood and texture of the photos. Very nice shots.

These are a few from a set I took at the beach about a month ago.

Nothing short of spectacular Richard. Beautiful pics, even the ones without 'Nessa. :)
