North to the Future

It's been damp, and today it is raining. I am playing ground fault interrupter games with my Christmas lights. Since it's been a dark day, I wouldn't know it was longer without you and my calendar. But, even if it doesn't appear longer, it certainly feels that way.
 
3:41 to 5 1/2.....much darker in FAI.
The two seemed dramatically different when I was there one June. Fairbanks seemed like 20 hours of daylight and 4 of twilight to me. I know that wasn't the official hours, but I couldn't sleep. Anchorage was noticeably better, even though it was days closer to solstice.

Glad to have made the road trip on Wednesday. Early this morning, the highway is in bad shape.
