I spent four years working across the runway from that beast.

There's a lot going on on that runway, the aprons, etc. ANC is officially ranked as the #1 cargo airport in the United States and the 3rd busiest in the world, only trailing Hong Kong and Shanghai. It's more profitable to haul freight than fuel for a long run.

Ten years ago today, I took this photo of a wild rose bush when on a bike ride. It's been a bit chilly this year and I doubt that the leaves are out on that bush, much less, the flowers.
